Help! Lower leaves on plant showing dark brown spots w/ drying out & necrotizing. New top grow seems healthy & vibrant. After research thought might be a calcium or magnesium deficiency. Full strength cal/mag given yesterday. Plants seem perky but want professional diagnosis.

Looks like a cal mag issue. I don't get it because you are using a cal mag additive and the GHE formula does contain some cal mag too so you should have plenty of it available. You nutrient dosage looks a bit soft , maybe you should increase the dosage and take a look at the water runoff to search for an eventual ph fluctuation.

Although it could be cal mag, Are you sure there's no little critters under those bottom leaves as one of them looks nibbled....?

You got it. Calcium deficiency. If you fed full strength Cal/Mag you'll notice these symptoms halt but the affected leaves will not come back. I usually keep those damaged leaves to be cannibalized and remove them once there's nothing left to take. Good call๐Ÿ‘ and good course of action you've taken. All will be well and they ARE looking great. Cheers and happy grows๐Ÿ˜‰โœŠ

those brown leaves don't mean squat..what does is that you put seeds in such large pots..should start in solo cups let grow till the roots burst out of the cup then transplate to the big pot..those are way to short for 5 weeks but can only learn thru experience.. more air to the roots..more roots..more shoots..more fruits!!

Look under the damaged leaves. See if there are brown dots that can move. You may have mites or insect infestation.

They are looking very healthy. Loving the Blurple LED, it is definitely the better option compared to standard bulbs. I see you also ordered the best humidifier for this tent grows. It is also the one I will be ordering soon, however so far my tent has maintained 50% humidity as a minimum, mainly in the 60% area. Sometimes if it is dropping low (humidity) I would use the spray bottle with an oscillating fan is a quick fix but not the best option.
