Transplanted into 3 gallon smart pots on tuesday. Medium is a mix of promix hp, coco coir, and perlite. The next morning I fed them each a litre of nutes, ph balanced to 6.4 (accidentally put a bit too much ph up in), think it might have been a little too strong for the NL plant, its showing some slight tip burn, but they are doing well otherwise and I'll be more careful about the ph in the future. The cfl bulbs are soon going to be replaced by the quantum board, which is already providing the older green crack plant with light. Looking forward to seeing how large they'll be in another week, expect more updates in the near future!
Week 3 Update: Sorry about the lack of posts, the plants are coming along very nicely. I did some light trimming two days ago on the bottoms of the plants as I prepare to throw them into a scrog. The green crack had a lot of little leaves at the bottom that were already deprived of light, so they were cut. Have been spraying with water and a topping the soil with a bit of a seaweed mix during the week. Today I threw the scrog net on and got rid of the cfl bulbs, which has caused the temps to drop a bit. The basement I grow in is kind of cold, might need to get a little heater and a humidity controller. Plan on feeding the plants again tomorrow or the next day, only 3/4 strength for the NLxSk#1 this time though. Will switch to flowering in a week or two ideally, once the plants have grown through the scrog a bit.
@JUNGLE_B4RNS, thanks, had trouble in a past grow that went awry bc of friends who forgot, so im glad ive got someone i can trust this time. They only will need to water them once, so its mostly just to raise the light and continue to tuck as they stretch.
Looking fantastically beautiful buddy. I love your scrog net and I can't wait for the plants to start growing into it. Looks like you have some amazing plans for this tent. I'm excited to see how it progresses. Cheers!
This is a KILLER looking grow. I see some experience shining through here. Nice job! I am attempting my first "topless" SCROG (trying to bend instead) with 6 different strains right now. It would be cool if you would follow along and make a suggestion or two. - Zannabis7
@schmorgastheborg, Thanks for the information. I have certainly done my fair share of reading up on SCROGing as well. Since I am growing autoflowers, I am aiming to bend early and gently. I'll keep looking in on your grow - hope you will do the same. Thanks again for the response. - Zannabis7
@Zannabis7,
thanks,
There is a little experience, I have grown to harvest 4 cycles. I like to read a lot, so there is a lot of regurgitation of what I read. Truly my first SCROG-- I feel very new at training. I broke several of them.. but the will to live and produce is blowing me away. What I have learned is clones in my area are seriously lacking. Seeds are amazing... so far... I suspect from what I have heard is - "it is all about genetics."
@Aurora_Borealis,
I feel ya, but micro managing seems to pay off. I get over worried (I think) as a new grower. I suspect Mother Nature will provide. I grow outside one a year and kinda just let them go -- and they turn out amazing.. I sometimes think it is hard t screw it up...
@biggreens420, Thanks man, I appreciate the support! This grow couldn't have gone much better so far, very few issues but I was sorta worried that my buds are not big enough for the length of time they've been flowering, but I had to flip them early cause i knew space would be an issue. That being said, i think i'll have a good harvest to look forward to in a month or so (Valentine's day!). Sometimes I tend to get too caught up on the small flaws, gotta focus on the big picture, to see how much i've progressed, and how to use this as a lesson for the next grow.
