@KurbinTurbin, And ALL the control of what plants get..and growth is roughly 25% faster in hydro. I have went on to advanced techniques and am now "crop steering" pulling like 1.6 grams per watt now :)
Holy bushy! Nice looking plants. And that is one clean looking grow tent! Is it just the four plants in that 8x8? Looking forward to watching this progress.
@BlueBerry7720, Thanks, if itβs not clean then itβs dirty and dirty is not an option lol
Yup unfortunately the law in my country is only 4 lovely ladies, but no worries I grow enough in one crop to last me till next harvest π
Man, these are flippin beautiful!!! You got a skill bro! come drop by my very first grow and give me some tips man! Cheers and happy growing! can't wait to see the harvest!
@KurbinTurbin, Absolutely! I know I wouldn't be doing as good as I am without some awesome guidance from growers all over the world on here! So glad I found this community! I plan on being here for along time!!
@Nor_Cal_Kannabliss, First few grows are usually nerve racking, cutting and bending the plant was what bothered me the most when I first started, I was afraid to hurt it but eventually you Learn that these girls are tuff and like a little pain here and there π
Thatβs the beauty of this site, there is so much helpful info and everyone is here to help each other Succeed at growing amazing bud. π¨
@KurbinTurbin,"enough popcorn nugs for a movie theatre" πππ that gave me a good giggle. Yea thats exactly it...with each grow you learn so much and apply it the next time.
So after spekaing to someone who I knew that had been growing for years he gave me this advice which I found woprks really well. " When flipping to flowering you must absolutely strip the bitches bare. It feels wrong but it will recover and it is right. This makes the plants only grow big heads" He told me that and i tried it with an outdoor and have never looked back. Lollipopping and stripping em bear helps produce fat flowers at the end
@NewbieLearner, Yes I agree I should be defoliating way more, I find my leds only penatrate 1.5β Into canopy max so stripping the leaves would be better, Iβm still in the learning stages so each crop I make it threw Iβm getting more confident at bending, training and cutting.
If you check out my first crop(blue dream/northern lights) you can clearly see that my tent was way to full and thick, enough popcorn nugs for a movie theatre π I didnβt realize during flower they would stretch to the moon, but ya learn more every grow.
My upcoming grow will be better, Iβll try to keep my canopy as thin as possible π
Thanks for checkin out my diary π
@KurbinTurbin, this is also one of my favs but I have very little knowledge of strains. Chemdawg is probably my favorite so far. Must say Bruce has fine flavor and an amazing complex high. Needs good cure to mellow out all those turps.
@KurbinTurbin, I hear that. My problem was grow area is so narrow that I have to work to keep them compact. I just put up a 78x78x78 tent. I went in it and thought β How the hell am I going to fill this β so Iβm not paying to light and heat dead space. Will find out soon. Next grow will end up in tent. But will start till transplant in my closet space
@KurbinTurbin, ok I wasnβt condemning your tactics. More just wondering why , so long a veg. With the huge girls your producing who am I to tell you differently. Good growing Bud
@MediciGrade, The fondue are trees man lol
Sometimes you gotta just jump with both feet, I was super nervous when I first started but now I am happy I did. Could always grow 1 in hydro just for a learning experiment, then if you mess up itβs only 1 lady lost π
@KurbinTurbin, Looks like the chocolate fondue had 2 fewer weeks of veg as well? Those are some serious tusks! Someday I'm going to dip my toe in hydro, but I'm trying to be patient because I suspect I'll wind up jumping in with both feet almost immediately.
@KurbinTurbin, I can imagine with all that crop :) all the preparation and right tools don't stop the tiredness that comes with big harvests. I find thinking of all the jars in a month's time helps π
@HazeyBobby, Oh god am I ever sick of trimming π, for me itβs the worst part about growing and I even have an auto trimmer to help out but I do all the good buds by hand and there is a ton of good buds.
@HazeyBobby, Forsure, I have yet to try Bruce banner and Super silver haze So I hope I even like them π the Bruce smells so good and powerful, excited to try it.
I germinated 2 of the Bruce banner seeds From the same pack and they turned out Completely different from each other, not sure why but meh more variety.
No lie. I am using your grow journal as a go by for setup and training techniques. I can't make it exactly the same due to different strains and nutrients. Really impressive setup and happy I found your journal
@WhyNotA2, Just remember to be cautious, I am very big into experimenting so sometimes my methods might be time consuming and not efficient or could possibly be fatal to the plants so good luck and use my page wisely ππ€
Congrats on getting this baby to harvest... a long grow with a lot of trimming work :) soon to be forgotten I'm sure. Good luck with sorting the light out - sounds crap!
All those buds look well worth the effort though π
