Shooey Week 1 DP Shaman. First ever try with Dutch Passion. I researched a lot for strains that handle sub tropical conditions well because that’s what I have. This reads really well. Also a bit of a mystery if you might get a beautiful purple shade which I look forward to.

Shooey Shaman is taking off this week. We have had some nice rain for a change and Shaman is loving it. Looks like it’s gonna be a nice branch variety. I look forward to seeing her develop over the coming weeks as she is moving fast!

Shooey Shaman is seriously impressive. It has all but tripled in size in just a week. Tall and lanky it is absolutely thriving in our current heat and humidity. I have moved her to a mates place to grow out and he is old school, adamant about not topping, just letting her go as nature would. So will be interesting to see how the yield turns out. Whatever happens it is so cool to watch this grow as it is flying like I haven’t seen before.

Shooey Shaman is just amazing. I have never seen such vigorous growth before. It has more than doubled in size this week, after it tripled in size last week. Super deep green and healthy, it is just thriving in really testing heat which is taking its toll on all the other plants. Some light hairs last week have now given way to full flowering. She is a bit thin and lanky and really should have been pinched a couple of times but I really wanted to see how it would go with the one main cola. Incredible growth each week, Shaman is scary to watch!!!

Shooey Shaman is killing it👊 Vertical growth has finally settled down and she is starting to shoot out some nice looking buds. Heaps of rain at the moment, man it has been a summer of extremes for sure. This is a real adventure grow for sure

Shooey What a story this Shaman has this week!! She has been at my mates place for the past month or so and doing well. This week an old friend of my mate passed away in his house! He lived in a bus out the front. The cops came round to tie up loose ends and shaman was hastily moved. Then his kid accidentally called 000 and cops turned up again!! He stressed out bad so shaman has come back home to my place to finish. Although my mate is old school and doesn’t feed much other than rainwater, first thing I did was hit it with bio Flores and boost to feed those popcorn buds. Hoping to bulk them up a bit, man shaman matures fast and never stops changing.

Shooey Shaman has settled right in at my place and seems to be appreciating the heavier feeding. Rain has eased off this week thankfully. The buds seem to have a lot of brown hairs this early into flowering. Even though I haven’t seen any signs of purple, I am wondering if I may get some in the next few weeks. I really hope so because I haven’t grown anything purple before. The smell is picking up and the buds are swelling and joining up. I’m kind of glad she was never topped now because it looks really cool in its natural state.

Shooey Another pretty good week for Shaman. It seems a bit more “steady as she goes” now. It has stopped growing vertically and just the buds are fattening up and the resin production is increasing. Maybe it’s because I see it every day now, I don’t notice the changes as much. The smell is really nice. I feel as though I am about half way there, and have 3 - 4 weeks to go. Cheers all 🍻

Shooey This week I have noticed Shamans buds really fatten up nicely. Not having performed any LST or HST has given her the classic Sativa look with buds dotted along lower branches, and clumped together all along the top spire. I am glad we ended up doing this one like this to see her as she would be in the wild, although I could argue I could have achieved a better yield with some training and topping, but it’s not all about the yield as much as the enjoyment. I had to take one bud off as it had rot due to all the rain. On close inspection I can’t find anymore on the plant, so all good but she is coming out next week. Given the sheer volume of rain and humidity, plus very sticky resinous buds, I still rate Shaman as seriously resilient in the outdoors, although next time I would add more perlite and keep in a smaller pot so I could move her indoors when the rain is due. Live and learn though right 🍻
Shaman is an adventure for sure, and lives up to its reputation as a classic Sativa that thrives in outdoor conditions. Shaman is exciting to watch in early stages as it develops rapidly and grows tall and strong. Although I gotta very small bit of rot, I rate it’s resistance as strong given the intense amount of rain and humidity she endured in the late flowering stages. Although I was hoping for some purple colour, it is dependant on pheno and I am very happy with the green one. Shaman has only a medium thc content, but don’t let this put you off if you are considering growing this strain. It works!! No problem about that.

Shooey Shaman has been such a fun grow because of its classic characteristics and rapid changes in maturity in early stages. At harvest, the buds are of medium density and have a very nice citrus type smell. Smoke taste update to follow after full cure, but for a medium thc producer, it packs a real punch. Shaman comes on almost instantly and gives a real dry mouth straight away. I recommend growing Shaman outdoors, especially if you have testing conditions in your area. It handles all conditions and is resistant to bugs. Seedlings thrived in extreme conditions unlike other strains I had going. All in all, Shaman is right up there for me and I will definitely give it another go in the future. Nice one Dutch Passion, this is a good one👍
Shaman is such a great strain, still within my favorites after all years .. Grew a lot of it back in the days. Got three phenos. Green with rock hard buds and nice skunky taste. Purple with rock hard buds with sweet taste and dark purple with little bit leafy buds but best flowery taste. Overall nice rot resistance for all three phenos.
Anyway she wont dissapoint you ;-)
@Ganjaholickz, hey Ganj,, that is really interesting. I knew I might get either green or purple but was never really sure which would be best. I kind of hoped for purple just for the looks,, but I saw Mrs Larimar grew some lovely green ones on here. So what do you think I have? The buds are only young and already reddish in colour after just 3 weeks. Cheers Ganj 🍻
Shaman is reesiliant to mold but after a number of raining days the gets mold to. Maybe you can give her kinda transparent Roof=? so you proteect here the best
@Mrs_Larimar,hey Mrs L , thanks for the advice always. It’s a good idea with the roof for sure. Shaman is coming out soon in coming days,, man she is a quick flower,,
Dutch Passion's Shaman is for sure one of my favorite strains ever! Starting from the way it responds to high stress technics to the yield and the unique wonderful smell and the abundance of buds and trichoms. A unique plant! outdoors can give you some purples shades in the flowers also! I grew it many times only indoors. Has 2 main phenos, a sativa dominant and a hybrid dominant. Both same type of effect and potency, very energetic, happy mood, creative boost. Taste, after taste and aroma is something else!! good luck with them, will follow to see the progress 😀
@@occultgreen420, hi green,, thanks mate. I did choose this one after researching a lot for a strain to handle our hot humid climate through summer here in AUS. Also Mrs Larimar here on GD grew some thumpers that were beautiful looking plants. So cool to watch this because my other plants are getting a bit of heat stress but shaman is just loving it, and growing soo fast. Thanks a lot for the advice and smoke report,, I am really looking forward to tasting this old school classic👍
Hi Gonna follow your Shaman grow. She is doing very well. In wich area do you live ( if you may say).. because of tropical conditions.. How high is the Rh where you live?
Until now shes doing fine.. looking green and happy
@Mrs_Larimar,hey mrs L. Sorry it took me a while to work out the private message but i got it now and replied to you. Cheers. Your new generation is looking mint👍👍
@Mrs_Larimar, nice 1 mrs L,, thanks for your info and advice always. Even with moderate thc I figured being out of skunk #1 it would be lovely and rich. If it gets half as big as your one I will be very happy with that🍻
Sounds like the same weather I'm getting here in Melbourne Oz....we both can only hope for sunshine. But after you mentioned your rot issue, I'm thinking of inspecting my plant in the dead of night just to be sure
@Lovemabud, hi mate. Yeah it’s been a testing few months for sure. I’m in SEQ and we have had it all this year. I’m pretty lucky it was only found in one bud and I think that’s testament to the strain. I read up on shaman a lot and chose it because it is considered one of the hardiest outdoor strains. I read on GD that rot is a big issue in the northern hemisphere where the seasons change faster and rain and cold is always a hazard at harvest time. A lot of guys start force flowering by bringing plants inside before dark to shorten the daylight and get the harvest done before bad weather sets in. If you are deep into budding and the buds are really resinous and moist already, it’s a great idea to try to avoid getting rain on the buds as much as possible. Good luck mate, hope you get yours through without any hassles👍👍👍
Awesome grow friend. she isn't slowing down but Defenitly bulking up now. She is focusing more on growing thicker buds. Nothing to worry about. Hope she busts out some purple😁
I'm searching trough journals to find a good outdoor strain for the upcoming season and this Shamaan is really a serious contender. But I'm pretty shocked by the immense stretching she goes trough😮
Don't know if I can be discrete with such a stretcher hahaha happy growing buddy
@Clutch, hey thanks mate, shaman is an adventure for sure. I really do recommend it for an outdoor grow. Shaman handles heat, rain and bugs very well. The write up on Shaman has it as a mid range THC producer, around 7 - 13% on average which may put a few growers off. I stripped a few popcorn lower buds and tried last week and, despite tasting a bit uncured, it is awesome and does the job very nicely. A classic strain with classic appeal. Check out Mrs Larimar shamans on GD,, scary good 🍻
@Med_in_Tropic, thanks med👍👍 I can see why this was popular all those years ago. It has a real classic appeal and nice smell, mate I recommend it for you to try one day because it seems to thrive in hot, humid outdoor conditions. All the best med
@Hemposapien, hey canna,, thanks bro. Shaman really is unique,, it’s so healthy and lush and my other plants are really copping a bit of heat stress but shaman is lovin it,, highly recommend this one for the outdoor grower. Cheers mate👍
