Not a lot to allow this week as the lil seedling just got going.
2gal pot with recycled coco loco, I will be actively feeding megacrop and recharge this round.
The plan is to train this plant as well, probably won’t top but I will be bending the main and tying down branches.
I’m finishing up an auto ak right now that is beautiful and so easy. I’m hoping chemdawg will be more the same experience!!
Big thank you to Fast Buds for the opportunity to dive into the new Originals lineup!
Thanks for stoping by and catch ya next week!
Week 2 is in the books.
Kinda a slow visible growth week so I’m hoping the roots did some good building but it’s started the vertical growth again.
Not a lot else to allow tho this coming week will see the first real feed and we will start some training.
Feed is as follows...
Megacrop 1gr/gal
Sweet candy 1gr/gal
Still early on but Chemdawg is a bit runty. I am doing some pretty intense training this round and it’s looking like she did not appreciate all the bending lol.
She’s still moving along tho.
She was opened up a little bit more trying to spread out the budsites horizontally rather than vertically.
I am actively feeding this round and Chemdawg got a pretty light feed.
Feed is per gallon....
3gr megacrop
1gr sweet candy
Next week I’ll bump that up a bit and I’ll probably add calmag to the routine.
A really good week for Chemdawg.
She did not appreciate the training at the beginning but she seems to have recovered fine and is spreading out nicely.
So this round is much different than our last round where we let the plants grow natural and ran a water only routine.
This round is about canopies, torturous bends and tie downs.
As far as feed we are running one of our earlier nute routines and that is greenleaf megacrop for nutes and recharge for bennies.
I have added a splash of calmag and will continue to do so going forward.
1 thing I am doing differently is I’m feeding at full strength. In the past I have used mc but always at half strength. Plants were fine but a bit on the airy side.
Kinda curious to see if I push a bit more into the feed, along with bud explosion during bloom, if the plants will bulk up any.
Eh, might not matter at all, but that’s where we are at.
Chemdawg has finally shown sex and is just now starting to show some pistil/preflower action.
Check back next week!
Another good week.
We’ve been training pretty hard but Chemdawg is taking it in stride.
We finally have some preflower action going and she’s stretching.
We will tie down and super crop as needed to try and maintain the nice canopy.
Feed wise we are holding steady at 5gr megacrop and 1ml calmag.
We will add bud explosion here as soon as the plant is in full bloom.
Not much else to allow, check back next week!
Another good week of growth.
She’s in the stretch now with budlets forming up.
Feed wise we have started in with the bud explosion.
Feeds look like this right now and I’ll adjust as necessary
5g/gal megacrop
1g/gal bud explosion
1ml/gal calmag
Colors still good and leafs and budsites appear to be healthy.
All of the plants this round are in better visible health at this point in the grow. Greenleaf for the win!
Check back next week for the next update!
Another great week in the books.
Chemdawg got a trim today to open up the lower budsites and she’s just blasting along.
This plant has been abused, bent and twisted.
I haven’t topped it tho, tho the early bend and subsequent training has affected the plant like a topping.
Crazy side branch growth and at one time a really nice flat canopy.
She’s outgrown that now tho as the plant blows thru the stretch into bloom.
She’s looking good, hopefully we breeze on thru to the finish!
Another great week for Chemdawg.
She is well into flower now, starting to get a little frost.
The only real thing to note is I have switched nutes during the grow.
Not an ideal situation but Chemdawg seems to be fine, tho I do have another plant going on the same routine that does not seem to appreciate the switch lol.
If I had to hazard a guess I’d say Chemdawg is still a month out if not 5-6 weeks.
Thx for checking in and catch you next week!
Another great week.
Chemdawg is stacking the buds and doing the thing.
She is a fragrant plant, another sweet candy like smell and I’m okay with that!
At this point we are just riding it out.
Feed is the same tho we are beginning to back off the micro a bit, bloom is still 16ml/gal.
I’m thinking another 3ish weeks maybe tho it could easily go a month.
Week 10 in the books and Chemdawg is just looking fantastic.
I think due to the training there aren’t many cola type buds but what there is is a f&@k-ton of budsites and golfball sized solid nugs lol.
Luv it!
This point in the grow is easy as we are just riding out the finish.
No more training at all, and I’ve been cutting back on the nutes a bit.
I think there’s 2 weeks left and we will finish Chemdawg on a water only feed.
Not really worried about “flushing” the plant but what I’m doing is flushing the coco loco so I can reuse it again.
Anywho thx for checking in!!
Week 11 is in the books and we are so close.
I think the plant won’t last thru the next week lol.
At this point it’s just finishing up some swelling. I won’t do any more training, won’t feed it anymore nutes at all and we will just coast to the chop.
Today is the day Chemdawg gets the chop.
82 days above ground and we’ve got milky trichs with a splash of amber here and there.
I’ll finish the diary next week with a dry weight and a report on the smoke.
It’s been a fairly easy grow, the only couple issues were small and we were able to mitigate em.
The biggest issue was the recycled coco loco I think. I did not flush it between plants this pst round and we had some crazy salt buildups and I think that might have caused a little lockout.
Nothing too bad tho, and the plant recovered nicely.
Check back in next week for a final weight and write up.
Awesome smoke with 2 weeks cure.
Very heavy buzz, like a warm blanket. Lasts for a good while.
I imagine this would make an excellent night time smoke, or a good smoke for someone who’s wanting a very physical body buzz.
I luv this strain and plant!
A super easy grow, the plant responded to the training very well and overcame the couple of small grow issues.
Based on my experience I would highly recommend this strain!
Hey there,
Thanks so much for running a diary of our Auto Chemdawg 🙌
Let us know if you need any assistance, we’re more than happy to help.
Happy Growing !!! 🌱☘️🌴🍀🌿🌳
Plants are looking great, Do you find the Fast buds responds well too Lst and HST with no stunting? I super cropped mine this time or others call it mainlining, Zkittlez from fastbuds has exploded in growth since I did this. Check my diaries out if you get a chance. Happy growing
@Bashgrowsitall1989,
I’m still fairly new to all this but the 2 Fast Buds strains I’ve trained seemed to luv it.
I’ve let the canopy go a bit but with some real attention I feel like this gal would grow a wicked tabletop canopy.
I did not too this plant, tho I did a major bend really early on. The main stem is more horizontal than vertical at this point.
We’ve also supercropped quite a few of the side branches.
The plant has also reacted like it’s been topped. Crazy side branch growth, and they’re nice healthy branches.
Those some lovely buds on that lady. Fat and frosty with some nice colors. Gorgouse. Nice work. Keep doing what you been doing and good luck along your way to the finish line growmie.
