Day 0: Soaked seeds for the next run in URB for 25min then dropped them in Happy Frog soil watered with URB and Mollasses for Plants. Placed them in my shelf 45W T5 setup and they should pop within 3 days! This strain is something special. I took a clone from my Humboldt Seeds - Sapphire OG run and placed her outside Summer of 2018. I grew a Cali Connection - Jedi Kush and ended up with a male, so I killed it. I tried again right away and got another male, but let him finish so I could collect pollen. I carefully pollinated a couple of branches of three different strains and got seeds from each of them. I’ve had two friends successfully grow this new combo I call Jedi Fire and they have never seen such trichome production on the flowers extending to the fan leaves. I included a couple of pics from my buddy’s grow to see what she is capable of. I am popping three seeds in hopes for at least one female. Day 6: seed 2 popped! I am germinating two more seeds since the others never popped. I’d rather take a chance of having too many females, than a single male.

Day 8: well, this project just got more interesting! Only one of my original 3 seeds popped, so I germinated two more and they both popped. But then a second of the originals popped! So, I’m really hoping for at least one female out of 4. If this works out, I’m hoping to have a mother plant for awhile.

Day 15: I moved them from the shelf t5 fluorescent setup to my temporary closet setup with the Platinum LED p150 87w light. It’s not very warm at 70 degrees. I might have to use my space heater. They are looking good so far! Day 17: transplanted into 1gal fabric pots with Happy Frog soil. I hit them with 30ml URB and 10ml MFP. I also turned on the second P150.

Day 22: they are really loving the 1gal pots! Nice steady growth now. I expect 11-14 days in the 1gal before they are ready for 7gal pots. I may have started this run too early. Ooops lol

Day 29: got them moved into a tent with slightly more veg light. They are growing great and will be ready for the first topping soon! Day 30/31: I topped the 5th node on two yesterday and the other two today in preparation for scrogging later.

Day 36: still no preflowers showing yet, so I held off on transplanting yet. Given their age, I think I would have seen male preflowers by now if they were male. I may have 4 females here after all! I’ll have to figure out which one to keep in the tent. They are thriving in the 1gal pots now! Feeding early veg nutes now.

I just uploaded 4 pics of the only preflower I can find amongst 4 plants. Everything I’ve read about male preflowers says they are spade shaped. This preflower doesn’t look spade shaped to me, but I thought I’d ask the community. Please tell me if this is a female preflower.

Looks female to me buddy. If it was male it would look more like banana and balls. 🌱👍

Day 45: she’s exploding with growth and size. I don’t remember a batch of plants growing so big so fast. I’ll need to start my tie downs ASAP! Out of the 4, three are for sure female, so I’m assuming the 4th is, too. Not sure what I’m going to do with the remaining 3. Might do SOG in my closet with the others and let them run.

Day 49: I did some LST last week and had to adjust the twist ties to keep an even canopy. Not sure why this run has such large internode spacing, but they are some seriously big plants with big stalks...

Day 58: Turns out I picked a male to plant in a 7 gallon. I also planted a female in a 7 gallon, once I suspected the male was likely, but I didn’t do a second topping like the rest of the scrog plants, so I’ll have fewer bud sites or a couple of monster nugs. Oh well, valuable experience learning about and watching preflowers develop. I pulled the male and out a female that is huge compared her tentmate!

Day 64: removed the LST tie downs and got the screen in place end of last week and switched to large veg nutes this week. I discovered I was running 16/8 instead of 18/6 the last two weeks, so I fixed the timer and they should enjoy the extra two hours of light these last couple of veg weeks! Day 70: last day of veg! Flipping to 12/12 tonight!

Day 77: finished the first week of flower with a nice stretch going on. The main top in front is just wild! Huge thick stem that I can’t bend anymore. I’d have to raise the screen, so I’m just going to leave her be and let her be a giant cola sitting above the screen. This plant is a bit wispy, hopefully, she fills in with some nice buds. I have another plant of this growing and she’s looking way healthier. I’ll prob start a diary for her soon.

Day 106: Smelling incredible now! Super green leaves and lots of trichome-packed buds filling in the colas. HUGE buds this run. I don't really know the cause of the giant buds, if it's purely genetics, the MammothP, or everything I'm doing, but this plant is healthy!!! 4-5 more weeks to go!

I smoked some of this before going to the office one morning and discovered it's probably best in the late afternoon/evening. VERY powerful stuff. I would have liked to have flushed an additional week, but overall, great stuff!

Biggest yield of this run! Interestingly, a different phenotype than the same plant I grew in a different tent. The colors weren't as frosty white with this plant, but overall, the peach/orange hairs and frosty trichomes make the buds in the jar sparkle like crazy. Just looking at the buds makes you want to eat them like candy. Incredible smell and great taste and a fantastic high! Not bad for a first time breeder!
