Day 23 / 24 - Zkittlez from FastBuds .. after is getting super cropped last week it has recovered very well, the lower branches that have bow taken centre stage are thickening and hardening up.
They have doubled in size in 7 days. 24cm as of today, some defoliation was done as thier was some massive leaves covering potential bud sites, so we have uncovered them and given them slight LST by widening the branches so the extra light could come in.
Still using minimal nutes, 1.75ml of bio grow per L, 1ml of Calmag per L.
Everything in the tent is going very well this time round - much better environment than last time.
Keep updated and Happy growing
I like your light bank. You have some beautiful plants but you seem to be using wrong terminology. This plant was not mainlined. Mainlining is when you manipulate the stem into a single T shaped manifold in which you control number and position on main colas to give equal liquid nute flow. Donβt mean to be critical just trying to inform. Grow largeππͺπ±
@punxneverdead, I'm running the same strain for the second time. Topped the one on this run and it seems to be taking really well, maybe added a week to the cycle, but that could be down to the seed being a bit of a slow starter. I have always been told not to top autos, but I think they have come a long way since they first appeared on the market, with much better genetics
@Bashgrowsitall1989,
You topped it. Accidentally of course. But I have always read not to do it but seems like it hasn't done you any damage. I guess you won't ever tell coz you don't have another in the same grow to compare it to.
@@JP148, Thanks dude, it's a Meijhu lighting company 480W 4000k spectrum LED. So, what I'd the technique called that I've run this one on then? bare in mind the chop was an accident and had too be done due too a fan falling on her. Every experienced grower I've spoken too have said this is mainlining taking the central stalk out and leaving the outers too take form and shape instead of a middle. it seems to be working really well
@Harmar, this one was actually topped so you're looking at a side branch, the pictures represent all different buds I cut from this, about 5 first shaped and size
@Fast_Buds, Thanks very much, I'm running another one of you're Zkittlez again right now but havent started the diary for that yet, this time this one wint be topped just after the 2nd node due too accidents, it will left too grow too it's full potential! Check back soon too see what's too come I've just improved my equipment and setup ten fold
@MiPotFarm, Thanks alot, it has stayed short as I topped it after the first node and also run them 24 hours of light no rest which I've realised flowers plants quicker but they will stay short. Good knowledge from experience though
@Bashgrowsitall1989 Looking great over here bud. Definitely developing much faster than mine. I really don't have the room to just let them go like that. I wish I did!
How aggressively to you defoliate? I had some bud rod on one of mine I think it was to close to the media lost half of the bud. do you find that autos need this done more because of the short nature of the plant? let me know. grow looks good sir.
@DrewbieDoobieNoobie, I defoliate really heavy further into the grow I go, too me those big fans leaves that arent near the top are wasted energy, nutes and water being pumped too these, removing alot of these as u go forces kore upwards growth imo, the Zkittlez this time has stayed short as I got cut at the base of the first node by my circulating fan, so I decided too keep it but main line it, with one node its grown 40cm 5 colas all similar size and thickness si I dont think it will be a waste. Aggressive defoliation also helps lower bud sites get that light through the plant so everything thickens up around the same time. Dont be afraid too chop the top off an auto and let them bottom thicken out more, I've done this and doubled my crop.
Like the grow dude. Done well considering your fan fell on them, I wasnt so lucky when that happened to me. Also like your lights, mine r LED but give of the purple colour, I want one like yours.
@hashy, Hello dude, Yes considering that I'm very happy. That's unfortunate that yours didnt survive so well. My lighting setup is a 480w Led Bank by company called Meijhu Lighting Company, its 4000k light spectrum and has 1008 white diode Samsung LEDs and 450 red diode Epistar LEDs. If you look at the diary which was my first grow back the last plant the COP was done under this light. Unfortunately, this light comes from a Chinese province that I dont expect are exporting anything right now due too Corona - Were all just going too pop to the winchester and wait for this too blow over. Happy growing
Nice job! On your way to get some nice results. Also doing Zkittlez with biobizz, great genetics π Did you overfeed much? 3ml/L? Asking based on the tips.
Also, just like you say this looks very leafy π Do you have much nitrogen in your flower nutes? Cheers
@magicUmbrella, Nope I barely fed at all I could count on one hand hoe many times I've fed it, it could be a ph issue but not by much do I'm bit fussed really. I've just chopped my Glueberry OG from Dutch and it was very yellow and some burnt leaf tips but noe the trim is done the bud looks 1010! Picturs up in the next few days as its drying
@Bashgrowsitall1989, i hope you got well now , i meant when they sell you seeds and says 8 to 9 weeks Fllowering they are counting from the start of the pre-flowering stage
@Germano, It wasnt in full flower, it was still in the pre flower stretch and too me, that's still part of veg because its getting taller and wider still. When upwards growth stops and she concentrates on buds, that's flowering. What do you mean I've missed weeks? I've missed one cos i was sick last week
