Purple Lemonade

2019-12-29 (day 1) - First day above ground not much to report. 1 of the 3 seeds I got from Fastbuds was particularly small. I decided to pop it first to see if it was viable, and sure enough it is! This is my first @Fastbuds and first purple grow and I'm super excited! I'm running it in my 4*8 tent with some photos. Stay tuned!

2019-01-05 (day 8) - Some interesting growth with this girl. Some rounder twisted leaves forming. I don't believe it has anything to due with lamp distance or humidity as my other seedlings are progressing normally. I'm sure its just part of the pheno. Can't wait for this girl to explode, its my only auto this run.

2020-01-12(Day 15) - Fastbuds Purple Lemonade passed the MegaPowerPlant of the same age in height. I just implemented LST and introduced Nutes. From the grows I've seen of this strain I think I'll stick to LST and not top, take advantage of the large internodal spacing. One or two more weeks and we should see some dark buds forming, can't wait!

2020-01-19 (Day 22) - Purple Lemonade started flowering on day 18/19. Began stretching but nothing major yet. The way I LST'd her all nodes are getting direct light and I've switched the 2 Meizhi 600W Blurples in the tent to full power (both bloom and flowers witches on). I am so damn excited to see purple buds begin to form. I'm leaving in 3 days for a 7 day vacation and have someone coming to water her and ensure she doesn't stretch into the light before it needs to be raised, hopefully when I get home there will be some purple forming!

2020-01-29 (Day 32) Well back from vacation and I opened the tent to find a jungle! The last 7 days they were fed plain tap water by a friend, I didn't have time to teach him how to pH my water and as my tap water is slightly on the high side. She's the only girl that started to show a slight deficiency (just needs some calmag), it's not surprising though as she's the only girl in flower and has been fed plain water(with a high pH) for nearly a week. Other than that flowers are growing, no purple yet but I'm sure it'll come. Tonight I switched the light schedule to 12-12 to induce flowering in my photos sharing the tent. I also experimented with my phone camera to try and get better pics as per many amazing diaries on this site. My heater sucks and is slightly erratic so from here on out the only heat will be coming from my lights and the ambient temp in the basement when lights are off, not ideal but it should do. Let's see some purple.

2020-02-03 (Day 37) - She continues to flower and so far only purple stems. Lets see if she can start packing on some more weight. Don't seem to see any progression on the deficiency, fingers crossed its been mitigated with the upped Calmag dosage.

2020-02-10 (Day 44) - Still no purple in the buds, I've seen a few growers with this strain have similar "normal" coloring, but they tend to still look pretty cool looking once they begin to fade. Calmag deficiency hasn't worsened much. Biting the bullet and going to keep the heater on, I want to promote quality bud development, might pull the heater in the last week to help promote the color change. Still on the water-feed-water schedule and shes drinking more frequently. She is really beginning to smell strong and potent! Stay tuned.

2020-02-18 (Day 52) - No more stretch buds are just getting fatter and more aromatic, she smells so fruity and strong. Heater malfunctioned tonight and quit rotating making a mechanical sound inside, ashamed as it was a new purchase for this grow. Fuck it they will have to deal with my cool dark period temps, I'm not risking the heater burning my house down. Trichs are getting cloudy with the odd amber popping out. 1 more week of feeding and I'll flush (if enough amber shows up). Looks like she'll be a low yielder but I'll attribute it to less than ideal temps throughout. Still can't get over the smell!

2020-02-26 (Day 60) - Definitely going to be a small yielder (most likely to my low veg temps) but I cannot wait to try this, it smells incredibly aromatic. Heater is back up and running and temps are now stable. Flush has begun as the majority of trichs are cloudy with some amber forming, probably 2 weeks remaining until chop. Somewhat of a minor purple hue has finally appeared, not as much as anticipated but its noticeable. I already can't wait to grow this strain again under more ideal conditions.

2020-03-04 (Day 67) - May have been wrong on my 2 week estimate as the trichs aren't in a hurry to turn completely cloudy or show much amber. All is good, Chop coming soon. I just isolated a hermie I want to save in my drying room, so now I'm going to have to find a place to dry this girl in a couple weeks.

2020-03-10 (Day 73) - Man oh man trichs changed so fast, harvested her last night (day 72). This strain was the most aromatic strain I’ve ever grown! Such a sweet fruity smell pleasant to even those that don’t partake. Harvested just over an ounce of the stickiest buds I’ve ever handled! The sugar leaves and buds on this thing are so resinous I had too keep absolutely every last bit of popcorn there was because they were too sticky to throw in the trim pile. I had one of the smaller phenos I’ve seen on growdiaries, compounded with my low temps during veg I am happy with the yield. Dialing in my temps next time I’m sure I’ll get more. This is a MUST GROW for anyone, you’ll be amazed with the resin and smell! Great job @Fastbuds!!
