These are second generation Dutch passion blueberry seeds. They are regular seeds that I harvested from my last grow. I’m giving blueberry the undivided attention that it deserves with this run. I’ve got 4 plants and will weed out the males and flower the girls with the hopes of a good harvest of a legendary strain. Seeds popped on 12/20 and 12/21 after 3-4 days underground. I had these in Dixie cups for one week then transplanted into 0.65g pots. From here they will go into the 3 gal fabric pots. So far I have these in my veg room which is a 2x2x4 box. Have a fogger to keep humidity up and a ceramic heater to keep day and night temps the same. Watering daily by hand until they graduate to the main tent where they will be set up on the auto watering system, getting watered multiple times per day. These girls are in a coco /perlite mix which I’ve had good results with before on the northern lights. Using the nute schedule as with my northern lights which I found from Dr. Coco! Cheers!
Week two and all is progressing well.
Hand watering and maintaining stable environment. Plant #1 slightly taller than the others and leaves slightly thinner. Some folding over of the serrated parts of the leaf. Does not seem to be light stress. Lights dimmed to 50% power.
Week 3 is complete. The plants are in great shape. They have all been topped and the nodes are growing nicely. The leaves are a nice dark green, soaking up the rays. They graduated to the main tent and into their final pots last night. Roots looked nice and healthy when I transplanted. They are on the automatic watering system now which should boost their growth rate. Still not showing sex yet, and I hope pre-flowers show up late as this should mean they are females. Will drop the screen once they gain some height. Cheers.
This is more for my personal notes than a proper update.
Day 24: have the environment right where I want it. Watering 3 times per day(1min) @.7L/min. 6.03pH/EC1250
Run-off range 1500 - 1700 (higher than target), was able to bring this down to 1400 range which is great.
Removed a few inner fan leaves to make space for growth tips, and tucked big fan leaves.
Day 28, all plants have reached the screen, tucking as needed. Supercropped some branches to help spread them out. Will flip on day 30 to determine sex, holding thumbs for lots of girls. Cheers
Flipped to 12/12 on day 28. The stretch hasn’t been too big, just keep tucking under the net as needed. Removing some big fan leaves to keep nodes in the direct light. I’m loving how the plants are starting to fill the screen, definitely helping to expose more nodes. The pre-flowers are starting to show up. Confirmed female on one plant, unsure on the other three but time will tell. Humidity at night creeps up a bit high for my liking (66%) but will try correct this once they start budding more. Looking forward to the week ahead and holding thumbs for more girls. Cheers!
Two of the 4 big plants ended up being male and were chopped early in the week. I had two insurance plants one week behind the others and one of these were female. The tent got rearranged to give maximum lighting for the plants. The girls are growing very well. The one on the right is shorter and has very strong branches making spreading her out a bit tough. The one on the left is nice and big and flexible enough to let me spread her out a lot. There are a good amounts of bud sights getting full light, so I’m looking forward to seeing how the buds start to form. I’m loving the screen as its really helping to make a good sized even canopy. This is the end of week two since the flip. Some white hairs are starting to show up now and smell is coming in slowly. I’m removing fan leaves as needed but I will tone it down this week. I like to keep the plants bushy in case I run into any issues down the road. My tent conditions are very stable with the max of about 26.5C and low of 21.5c. Humidity is stable at 60%, which I will start bringing down slowly as they start to bud more.
Plants are doing great. They have stretched quite a lot this week. I’ve been tucking the tips under the screen to spread them out. The two main plants are beasts! I’ve stretched them as far as I can so I’ll be letting them gain some height for now. They are drinking a lot of water, with no run-off coming off the plants. The plants are not showing any issues with no run-off but I will try increase the watering to ensure no salt buildup issues down the road. The buds are forming nicely, with lots of white hairs popping out each day. I could probably pluck some more fan leaves off as both plants are very bushy but for now I’m just taking off the leaves that are blocking buds. Thanks for checking it out. Cheers.
Good week. Plants are budding well, stretch is still happening. This was the last week of moving the buds under the screen. Plants are drinking a lot of water now so increased the watering amounts.
Buds are starting to develop nicely. Crystals forming on the plant under the purple COB light. The plants are healthy and everything is on cruise control. The very tips of the fan leaves are brown but it’s not a point of concern. The smell is coming in nicely. Lots of white hairs. The plant under the purple light is now my favorite one. The leaves are deep green compared to the one under the mars hydro light which are lighter green. Overall very happy with the progress. I have increased the watering to a total of 12 mins per day, and struggling to generate run-off. Watering by hand every 3 - 4 days with half a gallon to try flush out any salts. Loving this grow.
Steady week of growth. The one plant looks like it’s having some nute issues. I think I need to hand water to try flush out the salts and fix her up. The one under the cob is super frosty. Looks delicious. I’m guessing I’m nearing the half way point of flowering now. Cheers!
Hey I noticed we are using the same light, the TS 1000. I'm looking forward to seeing your harvest. There's a guy on weedtube named Wabbit. He's using the same light as us in a 3 by 3 tent and is getting really good results so far. I recommend you check it out. Anyways, all the best and happy growing!
@Hemposapien, yeah I’m very happy with the TS1000 so far. I actually removed the driver from the top of the light and took it out of the tent. Helped bring down the heat a bit and will hopefully help the longevity of the light.
I am so excited to hear what you have for genetics by the blueberry. i already had over 20 blueberry of dutch passion, unfortunately, still hasn't been worth for secure the Genetik
