Afterglow So, I'm starting my first report, but not my first grow. I thought a lot about a stealth grow box, but since I have my own room in the house, I decided to build a cabinet to maintain the microclimate year-round. I used to grow on the balcony, which is only possible in warm weather, but I constantly faced the problem of the temperature or humidity being off, or there was pollination from wild plants. So on January 1st, I soaked a couple of seeds. I chose from my stash: 1. Critical Purple Kush from Seedsman 2. AK-49 from Vision Seeds Both seeds sprouted, grew roots, and were planted in pots. But then a mishap happened. My curious cat knocked over the pot with AK-49. I searched for the seed with the tail among the spilled coconut, but couldn't find it. I decided to plant Critical from Error Seeds. The seed sprouted, showed a tail, and I planted it right into the pot. A couple of days later, I realized something was off, slightly uncovered the buried seed, and saw that it had died: the root and cotyledon had turned yellow. I thought, let's plant Girl Scout Cookies from Blimburn Seeds, and I even soaked it and went to carefully loosen the coconut. Then bam, I see a sprouted seed from AK-49, with a tail about 4 cm long and the helmet still on. I make a hole, put the root in, cover it with coconut, and remove the helmet, which was almost falling off. So despite the fact that AK-49 almost died from the cat's antics, we'll be growing the originally planted seeds. Today is January 5th, and we essentially have a day. Let's consider that on this day the helmets came off, although in reality, the helmet of the first plant came off yesterday, and the seedling has already put out its first serrated leaves. We have a homemade box 65x70x45 (HxWxD), a bunch of LED lights, and a set of nutrients. The box is equipped with two exhaust duct fans with a carbon filter, and various temperature and humidity sensors. Right now, there's a humidifier in the box to keep the temperature around 28 degrees and humidity at 70-80% during the seedling stage. I have all sorts of gadgets on the way to equip the box, and I'll be showing them throughout the report.

Afterglow I messed up with the nutrients. During the first week, the plant was still eating something, but towards the end, I noticed something was off: it was growing slowly, which shouldn't be the case. Then I realized that I had rinsed the coco for two days, and I was watering the plant with plain water every other time, when I should have been constantly watering it with a weak nutrient solution. It caught a bit of chlorosis. On the second day after a good flush, the plant perked up and started to develop. The chlorosis stopped. I lowered the pH from 6.5 to 5.6. Overall, the week ended positively. The plants recovered from the harsh hunger, turned green again, and started growing further. There’s about a 4-day delay from the schedule due to the stress. Next time, I need to remember to charge the coco to 1500-2000 PPM and then water with plain water for a week.

Afterglow Another round of feeding with mycorrhiza, root stimulator, GHE Bio Roots, and sweetened with honey and sugar to help the fungi thrive in a sweet environment. In dynamics, compared to last week, growth increased by 50% in a day. All due to hunger stress. The little plant seems to have recovered after the second day of normal feeding and is now picking up pace. There's still about 25% to reach the 100% norm, as the average growth rate at this stage is about 1.5-2.0 centimeters per day. On day 16, I gave (for 2 liters) 1.35 Micro, 1.20 Grow, 1.00 Bloom, PH 5.78, PPM 600, and the output was PPM 600, PH 6.12. So the previous mix was consumed well, everything is good. We'll see how it reacts the day after tomorrow to this watering with the increased dose. On day 19 in the morning, I gave (for 2 liters) 1.5 Micro, 1.4 Grow, 1.00 Bloom, PH 5.68, PPM 850, and the output was PPM 780, PH 6.01. (600 + 850) / 2 = 725. Considering that the average PPM in the drainage has dropped and the PH has risen, it means the little plant is eating well. This is noticeable because the new leaves are not turning green as quickly. I also added 1 cube of magnesium sulfate for 2 liters to the mix. So it wasn't in vain that I increased the fertilizer dose last time and this time. By the evening of day 19, the leaves had turned green and matched the color of the lower tier. There are no spots, curling, bending, fluffiness, drying, or burns. Of course, they have also grown in size. It's already harder to photograph since the pot wall gets in the frame. The size is still about 4-5 centimeters because I covered the substrate over the cotyledons. There's a lot of light, so it's not growing much upwards. And here's the dilemma: either there's not enough fertilizer, which is why the leaves aren't quickly turning green, or there's too much light, which is slowing down photosynthesis, or at the current climate level, which is close to ideal, there's not enough carbon dioxide. Overall, the growth rates are still lagging, but the little plant is gradually picking up speed. By the evening of day 20, it was noticeable how the little plant perked up. All the leaves turned green. The substrate dried out by 1 phalanx in 2 days. Apparently, the roots have grown well from the mycorrhiza with honey and are eating more. It's obvious that there will be another watering on the morning of day 21. It should be noted that I haven't flushed the substrate with clean water yet; all indicators are based on PH and PPM. In any case, tomorrow I will give Sensi Coco Grow pH Perfect Part A&B at 600 PPM and will still flush with clean water beforehand. Let's see how it reacts to the new fertilizer. The growth rates are starting to please. Essentially, the fourth tier is coming up. In 3-4 days, I can do some trimming and start bending the side shoots. On day 21, I gave 5ml of Sensi Coco Grow pH Perfect Part A&B for 2 liters, PH 5.68, PPM 675, and the output was PPM 675, PH 5.90. The salt is stable, not moving. PH is rising as it should. Everything is just perfect. But in the third week, I will still flush with clean water and charge with mycorrhiza, root stimulator, B-52, and honey.

Afterglow I turned on additional light at the beginning of this week. The little plant reacted and shot out leaves. It's growing 1cm in height per week because of the abundant light. The five-leaf sets are already coming in, and the side branches are growing well. Soon I'll need to do a TOP pruning and start bending them. It's the 22nd day without watering. The next day, if the substrate isn't well dried out, we'll thoroughly rinse the coconut and enrich it with B-52, root stimulant, mycorrhiza, and honey. Although on the other hand, why water with plain water if everything looks good on the meters and there's no overdose? It's quite the dilemma. In the end, I couldn't hold back and decided to water on the 22nd day, even though I watered yesterday. And it was worth it. I prepared a mix (for 2 liters) with A+B at 2 cubes each, 1 drop of SuperVit, Bio roots 0.4ml, B-52 2ml. PH 6.25, PPM 755. In the drainage, I got 725 PPM and 6.88 PH. Last time, the drainage output was 675, I poured 755, (675 + 755) / 2 = 715. So the PPM is practically stable, and the PH rose from 5.9 in the last drainage to 6.88. This means the little plant ate well, and due to the rising PH, there was a shift in cations. An increase in PH at this stage of veg mainly indicates nitrogen consumption. So I watered with plain water at 5.6 PH and charged it again with the mix. By the way, it started to smell. Day 23. The little plant was shocked by my experiments and started to spread out. The stem literally doubled in thickness in one day, and the leaves doubled in size. But the smell disappeared and started to smell like grass. Here in the report, there's one bush, but the second, sativa dominant, is behaving exactly the same. I've long noticed that during veg, plants behave the same and consume the same, the only difference is in the shape of the leaves and bush. I fed it with PPM 900. PH 5.8, output 810/6.1. Day 24. The little plant was happy with the food and shot up and out even more. It started to smell again. Day 26. Mix GHE Micro 1.20ml, Grow 1.80ml, Bloom 0.60ml per liter, B-52 2ml, PPM 730 PH 5.6, output PPM 770, PH 5.97. Last time it was 810, now it came out to 770. (810-770)/2 = 790. The PPM rose by 20 points, which isn't critical, there's no salting, PH didn't rise much, so it's eating well. Day 28. Mix 4ml pH Perfect Sensi Coco Grow, PH 5.5, PPM 1000, output PPM 880, PH who knows, since someone at home broke the PH meter. At the end of the week, I did the topping. Since I didn't touch the bushes with my hands and didn't pay attention, I didn't know their sex. From the cut top, it's clear that it's a girl. I forgot to take photos for about a day each week, so the dates got shifted. The cap fell off on the 5th, I started counting days from the 6th, which was a Monday. So my week should also end calendar-wise. Photos 23-24, 25-26, 27-28 are essentially one day. The first photo was taken an hour after "dawn," and the second an hour before "sunset." That's how I had to cheat a bit with the photos this week. But even so, you can see how actively the veg is progressing. If it weren't for the mistake with the coconut mix at the beginning, these indicators should have been reached by the end of the second week or the beginning of the third week.

Afterglow Day 29. The little plant wanted to sneeze at the topping, but it's still trying to tear apart the box and pot. I won't water today, probably tomorrow. The substrate is still wet, let the roots search for moisture and grow. I feel like in about 10 days I'll start SCROG and switch to flowering by the end of week 6. We have 4 levels, 8 branches, which is basically enough. It's growing so fast that the small leaves on the seven-leafers don't even have time to unfold. Day 30. Feeding is also on schedule, 800/5.6. I trimmed 4 big leaves since the lower levels stretched up after topping, but the big leaves are blocking light. Soon I'll start bending the branches. I moved them further from the light; the pots were on a stand. As I wanted, I made the plant bushy, but I need to stretch the future colas so it's easier to spread them under the net. Day 31. I'm not even checking the pH and PPM anymore because I'm getting the hang of this grow again. I mixed AD phPerfect Coco at 2.5ml per 2 liters. I'm slightly lowering the pH/PPM to avoid salt buildup. I didn't check the drainage. Lazy. From the photos, you can see how even the leaves that weren't supposed to grow shot up after topping. The third level has taken off. I feel like I need to start bending them. Probably tomorrow. Day 32. Despite the topping and defoliation, the plant has increased in size by about 3 times in just 3 days, not so much stressed as just growing. It seems like it's growing at night, not during the day. Watered with a new mix at 5.5/550, output 5.9/530. The plant is starting to get hungry, or rather, it's eating appetizingly. Tomorrow I'll charge it up to 800. The central stem is already about 5mm thick. You can already see a bunch of roots popping out around the edges of the pot. I’ll need to feed it with mycorrhiza again. I bent the two upper levels. I don't even know if I'll do SCROG or not. 8 dense branches will be more than enough for half a year from one plant, and I have two different strains. I’ll probably wait until the lower levels catch up with the upper ones, switch to flowering at the end of week 6, and see if SCROG is needed or not. The plants turned out to be really short this time. Day 33. I stretched the net and we'll be leveling the levels. Once they all grow and spread out to the corners, I'll switch to flowering. Watered with GHE, PPM/pH - 740/5.5, output 638/6.3. It says there's not enough food and needs more. Tomorrow I'll raise it to 1000 PPM. I need to raise the pH to 6.8 in the drainage. Day 34. I discovered that I seriously messed up from the very beginning of the grow... The new TDS meter shows in μs by default, but I need it in PPM. The conductivity coefficient is 0.5, meaning my mix is half as concentrated as it should be. No wonder my PPM keeps dropping and the pH is rising, and I can't understand why it's eating so actively but not growing as it should. According to my own diary and photos, it was actively growing when I was watering with 800-1000μs (400-500 PPM). I watered with a normal mix of Coco Grow A+B PPM/pH 740/5.7, output from drainage 483/6.3. Wow, what a low PPM. I’ll need to keep an eye on it.

Afterglow Day 36. Watered with AD A+B, 10 ml. PH/PPM 5.6/1030, output 5.9/852. All 8 main branches are pretty much evened out; if needed, I can do some super cropping and bend them a bit. Day 37. Watered with 8 ml A+B, 2.5 Cal-Mag, 0.4 Bio Roots, 2.5 B-52, PH/PPM 5.7/800, output 6.2/705. (852+800) / 2 = 826. And the output is 705. It's actively consuming, need to raise it to 1000 PPM. All the leaves have turned towards the light, and the scrog is starting to look like a scrog. Removed a couple of leaves that were blocking other branches. Most likely, I’ll take off the scrog and tie the branches directly to the pot. Day 38. Watered (for 2 liters) with 10 ml A+B, 4 ml Cal-Mag, 4 ml B-52, 4 ml Carboload, 0.4 Bio-Roots, PH/PPM 5.8/1055, output 6.0/954. Everything is great. I tore off a few leaves that were covering other branches. Most likely, I’ll remove the scrog and tie the branches directly to the pot. Day 39. Watered (for 2 liters) GHE Micro 6.0 ml, Grow 9.0 ml, Bloom 3.0 ml, PH/PPM 5.6/1020. Day 40. Watered (for 2 liters) Grow 4.80, Micro 4.50, Bloom 3.90, diluted to PH/PPM 5.5/1060, output 6.0/1105. I need to lower it to 900 PPM. The plant is feeling good. Flowers are starting to form. The leaves are fine, no spots, curling, or wilting. Even the leaves that are literally pressed to the ground are still green and not rotting or wilting. The first stigmas have appeared. In a couple of days, it will be clearly visible. Day 41. Watered (for 2 liters) Grow 4.30, Micro 4.10, Bloom 3.50, diluted to PH/PPM 5.8/855, output 6.1/1049. Excellent. I actually drowned my temporary crappy pH meter and might end up without it. Maybe it will work tomorrow. By the way, today is the first time the pot was completely dry; the plant has drained the pot like it’s in bloom. You can see it in the photos. It’s growing at a crazy speed. If only the buds would gain weight like this. The advantage of a 3.8-liter pot is that it always requires 1 liter of watering and 250-300 ml of drainage. The first stigmas are clearly visible. By the second week of flowering, there will be full balls of stigmas. Day 42. The pH meter has finally died. It shows some nonsense. I’ll have to go by feel for now. For 2 liters, the mix is Grow 4.70, Micro 4.40, Bloom 3.80, brought to PPM 965, output 1125. Tomorrow we’ll charge it to around 700. The plant is eating non-stop. The pot dries out instantly. Possibly due to the rapid drying, minor salting is starting. Humidity seems to be at 50%. I removed the scrog net; it was already getting in the way. If needed, I can level things out by tying individual branches. Week summary: the plant is starting to flower as it should after switching to 12/12. It’s growing wider and taller. The fan leaves are the size of a man's hand. I’ll have to remove some leaves since they block secondary branches, which will also have small buds. Once again, I’m convinced that you can’t flush or water with plain water. The main focus is on PPM. No problems noticed. I also alternate the proportions of the mix every other day to avoid any component deficiencies. For the rest of the grow, I’ll only be watering with GHE. All leaves are intact, healthy, tips aren’t drying out, leaf serrations aren’t yellowing, no chemical burns, no spots or curling, stems are thick and strong. Even though the strain is Purple, the petioles are a healthy green color. The petioles of the fan leaves are as thick as some secondary branches. Soon I’ll have to lower the pot from the lights since the branches are getting closer and closer to the lamps. Still using Cal-Mag on the leaves in the morning and evening.

Afterglow Day 43. Grow 3.40, Micro 3.60, Bloom 2.90, PPM 750, yield 960. Overall, this week should be fine with PPM 850-900. It can't consume more for now, and we shouldn't be stripping leaves. All the lower leaves are intact and green due to Cal-Mag with magnesium nitrate, and even though they're lacking light from the upper leaves that cover them like a big male palm, they're not planning to die. As I mentioned, I removed the SCROG net and will tie them to the sides of the pot. There's literally 5-10 cm left to the lamp, so I need to lower the pot. It drinks unrealistically fast. There are two bushes in the box. I'm afraid they'll get cramped in there at this rate, and even two carbon filters won't handle the smell. I'm hoping for a warm spring to take the box out to the balcony. Day 44. Grow 3.50, Micro 3.30, Bloom 2.90, PPM 780, yield 995. Still too much. I need to lower the PPM. Either tomorrow I’ll heavily water with compote. It grew 3-4 centimeters overnight and is practically touching the lamps. I lowered the pots down. I can't lower them too much, as they'll start growing up more, and I don’t want to stress them out later by doing super cropping. Day 45. Grow 3.40, Micro 3.30, Bloom 2.70, PPM 730, yield 970. I watered 2 liters in two stages. And again, it's too much. I need to fill it to about 500 tomorrow. The pot was completely empty. Apparently, I need to water twice. The central stem has never been this thick. Probably about 1.5 cm at the base. Damn, when will the proper pH meter attachment arrive? Like a blind kitten, I can't stabilize the PPM. Day 46. Grow 2.20, Micro 2.00, Bloom 1.70, PPM 470, yield 810. Now it's too little. I need to try for about 600 tomorrow. The growth situation reminds me of "Pot, don't boil!" The plant is stretching upwards. No, there’s still room to lower it, but I hope the buds don’t end up touching the lamps in the future. Regarding the dry soil before the light. Basically, there’s nothing wrong, and it’s even very good that the soil dries out during the dark hours. Judging by the leaves, the plant is not stressed at all, and the dry substrate allows the roots to breathe well and absorb oxygen. Day 47. Grow 2.30ml, Micro 2.10ml, Bloom 1.80ml, B-52 4.0ml, Rhino 4ml. PPM 700, yield 837. Something's off. I can't wait for the attachment for the pH meter. Buds are starting to form. Day 48. Grow 2.30ml, Micro 2.10ml, Bloom 1.80ml, B-52 4.0ml, Rhino 4ml. PPM 760, yield 840. I did super cropping and bent all the branches. It's scary to look at. I feel sorry for the plant. I don’t even want to show the photo. Maybe by morning it will perk up and I’ll take a picture. It grew 5 centimeters yesterday and burned a couple of leaves, at least not the buds. Day 49. Grow 2.10ml, Micro 2.20ml, Bloom 1.90ml, B-52 4.0ml, Rhino 4ml. PPM 705, yield 902. We will gradually reduce Grow and increase Bloom. The plant stressed out hard and, of course, couldn't consume. The PPM went up. It seems to have perked up after the harsh bending and breaking of stems, but the leaves have unfurled. The bush looks a bit strange, but now I need to strip the leaves because they just don’t fit anymore. Probably tomorrow, let it take nutrients from them to recover the branches.

Afterglow At the end of last week, I removed some leaves to let light through to the lower rows. Overall, I regret doing the super cropping. I should have bent them instead. I panicked. New grow box, didn’t know what to do. The second bush I bent normally, tied it to the pot and everything is great. This one should have been done the same way. It will definitely affect the yield. But it's not a big deal. Day 50. Grow 2.10ml, Micro 2.20ml, Bloom 1.90ml, B-52 4.0ml, Rhino 4ml. PPM 666, yield 980. Day 51. Grow 2.10ml, Micro 2.20ml, Bloom 1.90ml, B-52 4.0ml, Rhino 4ml. PPM 666, yield 1100. Where's my pH meter? I’ll have to lower the PPM. It smells kind of like skunk, like some old socks. But it overpowers the smell of AK-49 from VisionSeeds, which smells lemony. Day 52. Grow 0.9ml, Micro 2.70ml, Bloom 1.80ml, B-52 4.0ml, AN B-52 4ml, AN Rhino Skin 4ml, Pro Bloom 4 drops. PPM 660, yield 1150. I watered with pure water and lowered the PPM to 905. The little plant is still stressed and not eating well. I radically changed the mix, after all, the active flowering has started. I just hope it doesn’t hermie. Let’s see how the PPM moves. Day 53. Grow 0.9ml, Micro 2.70ml, Bloom 1.80ml, B-52 2ml, AN Rhino Skin 2ml, AN Sensi Cal-Mag 2ml, 4 drops Pro Bloom, Input 930, yield 1060. It seems the pH meter fixed itself. I think I had some acidification. I’ll check again tomorrow. Trichomes are appearing on the leaves. Day 54. Grow 0.9ml, Micro 2.70ml, Bloom 1.80ml, B-52 2ml, B-52 4ml, AN Rhino Skin 2ml, 4 drops Pro Bloom, Input 670/5.8, yield 960/6.3. The stress is passing, and it shows on the lower buds, they’re starting to catch up with the upper ones. The smell is unusual, somewhat bitter, like yeast dough. Day 55. Grow 1.0ml, Micro 2.0ml, Bloom 3.0ml, B-52 2.5ml, AN Rhino Skin 2.5ml, 6 drops Pro Bloom, Input 620/5.9, yield 960/6.4. It’s getting better, pH is rising in a good direction. I think in a couple of days it will be completely fine. I’ve fully switched to the flowering mix with some goodies added. Day 56. Grow 1.0ml, Micro 2.0ml, Bloom 3.0ml, B-52 2.5ml, AN Rhino Skin 2.5ml, 4 drops Pro Bloom, Input 565/5.8, yield 836/6.6. Almost perfect for flowering. The buds are maturing, soon they’ll start to grow wider. There are no defects on the leaves, the petioles aren’t red. Considering I have a Purple strain and the buds should turn red or purple by the end of flowering, the leaves and stems don’t show any deficiency.

Afterglow Day 57. Grow 1.0ml, Micro 2.0ml, Bloom 3.0ml, B-52 2.5ml, AN Rhino Skin 2.5ml, 4 drops Pro Bloom, Input 570/5.8, output 825/6.5. One leaf has grown up to the lamp and burned itself a bit. But the stretch has almost stopped. This week the buds should start to grow wider. Day 58. Grow 1.0ml, Micro 2.0ml, Bloom 3.0ml, B-52 2.5ml, AN Rhino Skin 2.5ml, 4 drops Pro Bloom, Input 555/5.8, output 826/6.4. Flight is stable. Once the PPM drops to 800, I’ll need to increase the nutrient dose in the daily mix by 20%. Still the same for the Cal+Mag on the leaves. The lower leaves have started to yellow and wilt a bit. You can see how nitrogen is being sucked out of them by the upper leaves. Day 59. Grow 1.0ml, Micro 2.0ml, Bloom 3.0ml, AN Rhino Skin 2.5ml, 4 drops Pro Bloom, Input 500/5.9, output 677/6.4. The PPM and pH have evened out. Now I’ll need to gradually raise the PPM back up to 1000 in the drainage. From the photos, it seems like there are no changes at all. Apparently, due to the reduced output in the drainage, the plant has slowed down. Day 60. Grow 1.2ml, Micro 2.4ml, Bloom 3.6ml, AN Rhino Skin 2.5ml, AN Carboload 2.5ml, Input 807/5.9, output 936/6.4. I’m curious to ask the person who invented defoliation, some people do some sort of weird thing. Why? The flowers with pistils and seed sacs don’t participate in photosynthesis at all, so they don’t need light. They have a different function - reproduction. And for sex, light isn’t needed. The leaves should be the ones standing tall! All the nutrients are absorbed through them. By removing leaves, we essentially cut off the veins through which blood flows. The old leaves are the first to wither because they give away all the accumulated nutrients. I haven’t removed any leaves from my plant since it started flowering. It looks like an old, hairy grandma. I can’t even get in there properly with a watering can. But inside the plant, the buds are bigger than at the top, even though they are completely covered by several layers of leaves. Moreover, the pistils on the buds inside the plant and under the leaves don’t wither, unlike those at the top. So why do people do defoliation if the buds don’t need light at all? Day 61. Grow 1.2ml, Micro 2.4ml, Bloom 3.6ml, AN Rhino Skin 2.5ml, AN B-52 2.5ml, AN Carboload 2.5ml, 4 drops Pro Bloom, Input 847/5.5, output 1012/6.1. It’s starting to look real. In general, for the next 3-4 days, watering with PPM 800 is just right. Day 62. (for 3 liters) Grow 1.8ml, Micro 3.6ml, Bloom 5.4ml, AN Rhino Skin 6.0ml, AN B-52 2.5ml, AN Carboload 5.0ml, 10 drops Pro Bloom, Input 670/5.6, output 847/5.7. The buds have started to grow wider. The tops are starting to look like a pyramid, not a dandelion. The very bottom leaves have started to fall off. No visible defects, no wilting, just turned a salad color and fell off by themselves. The day for the plant is our night, so its night is our day. The electricity was turned off during the day. Even though the plant is in a sealed box and there’s only a passive intake window, the smell started to spread. I didn’t think it would smell so strong. The fan with the filter is always running, and the smell isn’t noticeable, but it really hit me this time. I noticed that the current pH meter is off by 0.3 units, and I’ve essentially been feeding the plant a slightly more acidic solution than planned. It’s not a big deal, but it seems like it has slowed down a bit. I’m still waiting for my new professional device to arrive. It should be here next week. Day 63. Ratio Grow 1/Micro 2/Bloom 3, pH/PPM 5.6/888, output 5.6/1026. It’s not consuming much at all. Something is stressing it out. I’ll try to water it in about 3 hours with 6.2/500.

Afterglow Third week without a pH meter - it's definitely Spartan conditions. That temporary yellow one died again and shows 5.5 on any solution. Day 64. Still the same ratio Grow 1 / Micro 2 / Bloom 3, a bit of Rhino, B-52, Carboload, and Pro Bloom. It seems the plant has come back to life and spread its petals on the bud after yesterday's overwatering of the compote without adjusting the pH. Day 65. Still the same ratio Grow 1 / Micro 2 / Bloom 3, a bit of Rhino, B-52, Carboload, and Pro Bloom. Input/output - 716/941 PPM. Day 66. Still the same ratio Grow 1 / Micro 2 / Bloom 3, a bit of Rhino, B-52, Carboload, and Pro Bloom. Input/output - 687/965 PPM. It's hard to take decent photos from above now. The bud is growing upwards, and the lower leaves are out of focus. The whole stem is turning into one big bud. A couple more weeks and I can switch to Ripen. Just in time as the old harvest is finishing. I posted a photo of a fallen leaf. This is how fallen foliage should look - without a single flaw, slightly greenish. This indicates that the plant is doing well, not experiencing any deficiencies, the ratios are correct, just has run its course, the petiole is green, and there is no phosphorus deficiency. P.S. I don't remove the foliage at all, and I see that the buds are denser and hairier, and the stigmas aren't drying out, while up top it's the opposite - loose and constantly drying. Here's another reason not to tear off the leaves. Day 67. Still the same ratio Grow 1 / Micro 2 / Bloom 3, a bit of Rhino, B-52, Carboload, and Pro Bloom. Input/output - 662/938 PPM. Just like in a pharmacy. Either it’s not eating, or it’s eating the same. The average between inflow and drainage for the second day is exactly 814 PPM. But since I'm still without a pH meter, I can't say anything. I noticed that the pot has become heavier from the buds. And the branches are swaying heavily from side to side. Day 68. Everything is the same. Input/output - 650/950 PPM. Two more lower yellow leaves fell off on their own. Whole, intact, all the phosphorus has been sucked out, as it was well seasoned with nitrogen, the leaf is almost green. Potassium has also been sucked out, as the skeleton is distinct. Overall, everything is going according to plan. Day 69. Everything Input/output - 650/957 PPM. Day 70. Input/output - 666/1100 PPM. Another week has come to an end. The smell has started to break through the filter. Yeah... By the looks of it, we still have about 3-4 weeks to grow.

Afterglow Day 71. Input/Output - 450/830 PPM. We're in week 11. The smell is strange... like burnt coffee. The buds are still small. I wouldn't say they're dense, a bit airy. Sensimilla has started to appear. The layers of the buds are gradually growing. Everything seems fine. Yes, tomorrow the pH meter finally arrives in the mail. Day 72. Input - 585/6.0 PPM/pH, Output 1146/5.5. Yeah, we had a salt buildup without the pH meter. Poor thing is starving. No worries, we'll feed it soon according to all traditions. Day 73. Input - 400/6.33 PPM/pH, Output 934/5.52. It's still suffering and struggling. I think I'll water it with some compote in about three hours. Day 74. Input - 418/6.55 PPM/pH, Output 761/5.54. Yeah... it's tough with the salt buildup. I might have to flush it with clean water. Took a couple of macro photos. The trichomes are starting to turn cloudy. I might start ripening next week. By the way, two weeks ago I cut off a couple of damaged branches that wouldn't yield anything but would just get in the way. I put them in a dark place to dry. Tried it yesterday. Fire! I literally started laughing like a horse after a couple of hits. We watched a stupid movie and laughed our guts out. Fell asleep with a whirlwind of thoughts. Overall, the trip was awesome. Day 75. Input - 411/6.7 PPM/pH, Output 678/5.72. I think in a couple of days the pH will even out. New pistils are starting to pop up, meaning vertical growth has stopped, and the buds are growing wider. One of the buds has started to take on a reddish-purple color. Looks like the Purple Kush gene is showing. Upon closer inspection, a lot of sensimilla is noticeable. If held for a long time, the buds will be super dense. But not in our case. Starting next week, I’ll begin ripening and planting for the future grow of CBD 30:1. Had to cut off 2 small branches and one medium one from the sides. The last harvest is over, and we're in quarantine. Need to find some way to entertain ourselves. Day 76. Input - 395/6.6 PPM/pH, Output 590/5.73. Yeah, I really salted it hard due to the lack of a pH meter. Day 77. Input - 421/6.75 PPM/pH, Output 515/5.99. Well, it seems we've almost solved the salt issue. Golden rule: if PPM drops and pH rises - it means to increase the dose because the plant is eating well. I asked a question out of curiosity that can be asked here. They answered some nonsense, to be honest. Yeah, in the photos it seems like the leaves are still green and the buds aren't ripening and it's too early, and all that stuff. In short, you need to rely not only on trichomes but also on sensimilla, the strain, and the overall condition. I have Purple Kush, and the leaves, at first glance, don't look green but more reddish, yet in the photos, they seem dark green. Overall, starting next week, I’ll begin ripening for about 10 days, then 4 days of water and harvest.

Perplexed with a dilemma. Yesterday I tried buds ripped off a week ago and I really liked the trip. Trichomes begin to acquire a milky color. Should I start ripening with GHE if I prefer a high effect?

I dont know aht you mean with " Ripening with GHE" but your Plant looks to me not ready at all. I see darkgreen leaves ( no more Nitrogen needed now) and clear Trichomes, and white Pistils. So i would say your buds may need 2 more Weeks for maturating. Keep the Trichomes in the eyes, and if they are completely cloudy, you may think to harvest. Its awondeeeeerful plant and I would wait for harvest until all trichomes are cloudy

Afterglow Day 78. I flushed with 3 liters of pure water, then fed with Ripen PH/PPM 6.0/1055, output 5.9/677. The trichomes are growing even on the stems. The bud has completely stopped growing upwards and is only growing wider. There’s a lot of sensimilla, which is making the bud dense. Looking at the bushes from below is just a sight to behold. I feel like the bush might give some drops of amber. Many branches have bent and can no longer hold their weight. I plan to feed with Ripen for at least 10 days. I’ll be guided by the leaves and trichomes. Day 79. Ripen PH/PPM 6.15/1240, output 5.72/1361. The trichomes are growing not only on the upper part of the leaves but also on the lower ones. I've never seen this before. I think I’ll do a partial harvest - take the top 6 buds. I trimmed most of the large fan leaves. Tomorrow the photos will look completely different. Day 80. Ripen PH/PPM 6.27/742, output 5.36/1415. I trimmed most of the big fan leaves to create stress, as the trichomes on the old leaves have started to turn amber actively. In the center, below the main colas, it’s a complete mess of buds; you can’t see it in the photos, but it looks like a carpet. Day 81. Ripen PH/PPM 6.49/600, output 5.77/1136. I’ll give Ripen until the end of the week and then 3-4 days of pure water. We’ll be harvesting soon. Day 82. Ripen PH/PPM 6.85/580, output 6.04/928. The leaves are still alive, not yellowing. Day 83. Flushed until PPM in the drain was like from the tap. A couple of leaves turned a cool color. I’ll water for about 4 days, then a couple of days of drought and harvest. Day 84. Flushed with pure water. I noticed that when the plant is stressed, the smell is stronger. It even penetrates through two large new carbon filters. And the odor neutralizer doesn’t help at all. Since the filter is always working, the smell isn’t quite complete. I can’t figure out what the plants smell like. Both bushes, one sativa and the other indica, smell the same. The week is over. A few more days of flushing and I’ll be harvesting. Next Friday, I’ll soak a CBD strain and grow two identical bushes.

Afterglow Day 85. Watering with clean water. I'm flooding with water three times, it really washes out the byproducts. All the leaves are intact, but the tips have started to dry out. Yesterday, my wife and I smoked a little treat from a previously picked and dried bud. It hit hard. Haven't been this glued to the couch in a while. Day 86. Well, of course, more clean water. The little plant has stopped drinking. For once, the pots are heavy and moist. So the cleansing process has begun. Tomorrow, I probably won't water, but I won't turn off the light. It's been dark since Thursday and a couple of days of drought. And I'll soak the seeds on Thursday so that the first sprouts appear on Monday. I'll start a new report. Day 87. Didn't water. It didn't drink all the water. In general, I'll be drying until the end of the week; once the leaves fall, I'll leave them in the dark. In the last photo, you can see that the bud has started to turn red. Day 88. Didn't water. It drank all the water, and the small branches have drooped down due to the weight. The thick branches are still standing. Many leaves have turned burgundy. This is the last day with light. Starting tomorrow, it's darkness for a day and then I'll cut it. I removed one 100-watt lamp. No more photos until the harvest report. Day 89. The poor thing is sitting in the grow box, in the dark, without water and food. Meanwhile, I soaked two seeds yesterday. They've already sprouted today. Tomorrow I'll plant them in the substrate, which I've been rinsing for the second day. A new report will start on Monday. Third week in quarantine. Boring. At least the little plants are happy. Yesterday we smoked another treat. The high is definitely amusing. Not sure if it's because of the new strain or what. But it's really unusual. Day 90. Harvested and hung to dry. Some leaves even managed to dry out. I'm having trouble with the new seeds. I opened the sponge, and one of the seeds had its little tail fall off by itself. I urgently soaked another seed. Luckily, I buy three of each strain for insurance. I rinsed the new coconut for two days and mixed it with 800PPM of the full nutrient set. Tomorrow I'll probably plant, or maybe today.

Overall, it's a typical indica, though many thoughts come rushing in while high, and at the peak of the trip, you start to lose track of time and can't concentrate on your thoughts. There’s no betrayal, but when it starts to wear off, you flinch at every rustle. The freshly trimmed bud gave a powerful "laugh" effect. We'll treat it some more, we'll see then. I can't say that I really like the strain, but I probably won't grow it again.

Afterglow Overall, I'm satisfied with the result. The amount of THC is definitely more than the harvest from the last grow. It takes half the usual dose. Either that or I've gotten used to the old stuff. However, if it weren't for my first experience with SCROG, the yield would have been bigger. I wouldn't say the buds are loose, but they're not dense either. I'll also be making kif with the leftover leaves, which turned out to be very sugary.

As for me, there's no stress, it's okay in the photo. Already regret that the grid was removed? 😉
Afterglow
Afterglow commented6y ago
@bioaccessory, the stress is visible in the drainage, and it's been feeding worse. I've grown in every way except for SCROG; this is my first experience. Plus, I built a new grow box, and there weren't any height restrictions before, so I didn't really think about it. But now there's a new box, and after SCROG, there was a stretch that I didn't expect, growing like 3-5 cm a day. I stressed out myself when I opened the cabinet and saw the burnt leaves. At least it wasn't the buds. And I accidentally bent everything. Then, after 5 minutes, I took another bush of a different strain, carefully bent it, tied it up, and everything was awesome, but I'm still worried about this bush and still stressing. The buds are growing, the leaves are fine, but the drainage isn't what I expected.

@Bloombuster, I have a Canon 760d body, and I got this lens here https://aliexpress.ru/item/32857703337.html Although I'm thinking now that I should have just gotten the original Canon and macro rings.

@Afterglow, that's quite heavy - half a kilo) nice! If I had original lenses, the photos would be "more lively," but due to the built-in stabilization, the original Canon is relatively expensive. I've been using the Pentax system for 10 years - 2 crop bodies.

Oh, I love this turkey effect, in principle, this is what would be expected from Kush 😵 only that something purple in the phenotype is not observed, is it in general similar to a photo from the sidsman catalog?
Afterglow
Afterglow commented6y ago
@bioaccessory, there's a bit of purple on one bud, you can't see it in the photo, but under warm lights, you can tell that the leaves have slightly reddened along with the trichomes. You can see it with your eyes, but not in the pictures; I've tried to photograph it several times. And in general, from my experience, leaves change color during temperature stress, and at night I have 23, during the day 27 - no variety at all. In short, it barely resembles the photos from the seed bank, except for one bud (which I've never photographed). Plus, I really pumped the leaves with nitrogen and magnesium during veg, so despite flushing with ripen and watering, the leaves aren't even thinking about changing color. Moreover, after massive defoliation for stress, the lower leaves were exposed and were hidden by the big ones, which were yellowish. Now they've also turned dark green, despite the lack of nitrogen and magnesium in the soil.

looking the case to the finish line is, a beautiful baby 💪 by the way, long wanted to ask for what purpose microgrovish, conditions do not allow to put more pot? Still less than 5l on the photo period is not enough, in my opinion.
Afterglow
Afterglow commented6y ago
@bioaccessory, not that I'm doing microgrowing, I'm raising two plants this time in a medium-sized box, before I used to raise one. It's such a hassle to water coconut. And I don't see the point in a bigger pot, the roots won't fill it anyway. I don't let them grow upwards. My wife and I have enough with 2 liters of dry buds for half a year. This time I think it will be about 3 liters, at least. Plus, you can't really grow much in the apartment, otherwise the smell becomes overwhelming, and the filters can't handle it. I love photoperiods for the control they offer.
