Yo yo! Been a crazy month. After posting I was done with this grow, quickly decided to try and save the girls. One was in pretty rough shape. Took her out of the dwc bucket, into a felt pot with a soilless media. Carefully washed the roots and trimmed off some funky looking stuff. Soaked them for a smidge in an h2o2 water bath, not ideal but had nothing to lose really. Let the roots dry out and gently situated her in the felt pot. Watered lightly for the first week with low nutes, and ro water. Saw some life back and seems to be on the right path, albeit way behind any supposed schedule. A little trimming, some tie downs and see what she can do yet. The water farm brawd didn’t need as much healing. Thoroughly rinsed the media, roots, and was doing Rez changes every 3 days. Again low nute strength, but added voodoo juice every time. Now, maybe overkill but have not seen any hint of brown roots since. She has had a nice growth spurt and am encouraged they may both turn out after all. 7 weeks of veg, but not entirely sure what that means really. Lost so much time fighting to stay alive so will see how the next couple of weeks go. Back to half strength feedings on both, wish em luck. The ugly looking cooler with duct tape is an experiment. 2 GG#4 seeds, basically a dwc but huge Rez capacity. Rez temps stay really cool even with big air stone and submersible water pump. I mean it’s a cooler so fancy that lol. Curious about the cooler walls leaching into solution, hoping not. Not sure how I would tell, see if the plants have a healthy life I guess. Until next week. Keep it realz. Greazy

Hey man...just read your diary from 8th week onwards and cant see where you did wrong and how you stressed them? I grew 3 strains the other time with Glookies included. 2 of them grew bananas around 2 weeks before flower and Glookies survived with only some bleached top buds as it was sitting lower from the other two thus getting less intensity and made it with a few micro seeds just tiny tiny ones the size of the dot. My reason for hermie was temperature in a few words. Lamp was very close, temps around 30+ my DLI exceeded the threshold as i had no co2 addition the photosynthesis some how fucked up, was getting foxtails and at the end spotted those bananas. Same thing kinda happened with an autoflower. Accidentaly my heater gave 50c temps to my early veg plants so after a while i noticed a pollen sack and removed it and never stressed them again with heat...seem to be doing very good since....so o guess hermies come also from high heat or unstable temps and RH and the rest of the stresses that follow....if you didnt have those mentiones i would love to hear what caused yours....

Sorry i meant to say 2 weeks before harvest :) ...so yes luckily for me they were almost ready just the trichomes not so milky as you can see on my diary so no much harm done, not a single seed as i spotted them quite early and chopped them. Glookies though was already stunt so i was having no reaction from it for around 2 weeks until i chopped that too... Well my heat problem also lasted for a 5-7 days too, can't really recall now, but it was enough to stress them out to that hermie point...foxtailing also tricked me into thinking it was just buds filling more and more but that was a heat/light problem which i didnt know by the time... and i guess heat/light problems also bring nutrient problems such as deficiencies and locks and stunt plant and most likely that's why the messed up leaves....good thing is we learn from mistakes as we progress and soon we be pros :) co2 might just be the best solution for hot enviroments or otherwise keeping temps constant without much spikes..im sure you know it all by now :) Also checking your DLI often and see whats going on there is a good observation to see whats happening and prevent whats comimg ...also light leaking inside might just hermie them too...what a plant :) xxx

@Kayaboy, Thanks for checking her out, awesome post man. Glad you took the time to post, your heat scenario may hold some value. I did have about 5 days where temps could have been high. Had just gotten a new QB light, was running cob leds previously. After installing the QB, she seemed to be depressed so I put one of the cobs back in at an angle for some side lighting, figuring a little of both would calm her down. Tried to increase humidity too, but don’t think I did enough. Didn’t really watch temps for the first bit, when I saw the heat removed the cob light and has been gone since. About week 2 flower this went down. Didn’t include in my updates as was a temporary thing, but maybe these girls just can’t handle high temps, even a little bit. Going to leave my gear alone for awhile and get some consistency. Tops got bleached too, when I moved her into isolation, the tent not as big. Really wanted to grow this strain well, so will give another try at some point. Thanks again man, good luck and stay safe!

Yo,yo. Have relieved this girl of her duty, again, I know. I’m sure she is glad it’s over lol. What a bumpy ride it has been. A lot of problems early on, followed by a stretch of a glorious few weeks, finally betrayed with seeds all over. Quite a few seeds. Everyone has a few bad relationships I guess, on to the next. She is hanging now, update tomorrow and another 3 weeks for final review. Big batch of edibles coming up with this one I think. Thanks for following, unsure as to why though, pretty poor grow haha. Looks cool at the right angle. Keep it realz. Greazy

Yo yo, should mention I have switched lights. Had a couple of 1500W cob leds, which I think only draw an actual 100w each lol. The whole led advertised vs actual still confuses me. They worked just fine for my newb grows. Never did measure actual wattage though, but they managed to produce some nice buds imo. Not sure they penetrate the foliage all that well. Ended up with an SF4000 spider farm QB led. Lots of info out on these. 400W approx and good for a 5x5 tent. We shall see, figured a good time to switch would be when heading into flower. Stay tuned as we test this light out, and keep it realz. Greazy

Well, I always have to learn the hard way. I have killed one of the girls, the other can be saved but shutting this diary down. Hate to say but I neglected to do a proper clean after the last grow. Got anxious and did a quick clean, and am now facing the consequences. Feel terrible letting the plants down. Was so excited to try out this strain. After scolding myself, will be doing a thorough sanitation of all equipment. Hope to be back soon with another grow, lesson learned, and if this comment helps out at least 1 newb like me, awesome. Keep it cleanz out there. Greazy
