Alright, so, my plan for this grow is:
fox farm happy frog soil
Topping with a bit of living soil which I just got.
5 gallon plastic pot
Using river rocks as a form of mulch for now.
Mh light for the veg and hps for flower.
No nutrient line this time if I can help it.
I've been looking at a lot of info about Korean natural farming and over the course of the grow I will probably be doing some experiments with those practices.
So if I can get this baby to harvest happy and healthy I will be very happy.
Also I will be doing a couple of other diaries at the same time so i should have a pic everyday but most of the weeks will probably be far less wordy.
First week was a success, i was gifted this seed and I've never heard of this seed bank and there is really not much info out there about this particular strain. I'm hoping it's one of those super fast autos but who knows. As long as it puts out something decent I'll be happy.
@Topsrite, the metal hallide light is currently about 12 inches from the plant (just cranked up to 400 watts), forgot to change that from seedling stage. Will be switching to hps soon as this auto is sharing a tent with two photo periods. For feeding I'm messing around with some homemade organic inputs; fermented plant juice, sprouted seed teas, calcium phosphate made from charred pork ribs, will be making compost teas as well. All inspired by korean natural farming and a website called homestead and chill, lots of great resources there. This grow is all about experimenting for me and trying to keep it organic and healthy.
@R3eveo, soak for 18 hours in RO water, then straight in to moist soil. I'll keep a clear plastic dome over it and they usually sprout within a couple of days
@R3eveo, I like to soak my seeds in Reverse osmosis water for 18 hours and then put them directly in the soil at about 1/8 inch depth. Never had a seed not sprout using this method. They usually pop out of the soil within 2 days.
