Grow Questions

Smokedogg16started grow question 5 years ago
I had 2 air lines in this 1 bucket. The only thing I did different was take one of the air stones & line I had out of the bucket to start a forth bucket. Could me taking away that extra air be the problem & can I save it by adding it back or is this more of a nutrient burn?

Salut. Tes renseignements sont-ils exact?

the buckets i have is 5 gallons so i have to check & ph 3 to 4 times when i do a full water/nute change within the first hour of the change to make sure the ph is really what it is plus I had water level to high. once i dropped the water to the bottom of the net pot she started recovering for the best.

@Smokedogg16, Yes only fresh water when topping up... The idea is too keep the ppm down. By continually adding stuff you will lock your plant out, I learned that the hard way.. I was under the logic of adding more cause it was using it too grow... But nope that was wrong :). What I do is change my reservoirs every week Friday Or Saturday.. After I get all the nutrient water out I will usually flush with another 4L of just water(24hed of course) and dump that... Before I add 8-10Ls of water then I add nutrient ratios to 8L of water.. Bing bang Boom Ph Check And DONE... I checked today an hour after the reservoir change my ph was still the same. I have heard about hydrogen peroxide from other locals growers, I have never used it myself personally.. I can't recommend it because I don't know the ratios that would be plant safe.. Here is a link to the guys I order my uc roots from Online, can't find it on Amazon and hydroguard is horrible expensive in my region. https://www.pnwgardensupply.com/?product=cultured-solutions-uc-roots A lot of stuff is more expensive then Amazon but some stuff is cheaper then Amazon.. And they have a lot of stuff that amazon doesn't.. Also get a plastic syringe pack for adding nutrients and doing ph Checks.. I love it cause I don't get my hands wet and my nutrients are measured correctly.. Oh and Dirty hippy hands don't touch the water ha ha ha. I got this one : ) https://www.amazon.ca/Applicators-Refilling-Measuring-Liquids-Essential/dp/B07SMTFS7H/ref=pd_sbs_328_3/132-7961586-5629624?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B07SMTFS7H&pd_rd_r=9105190b-b690-4a38-8496-e4251fbde2d0&pd_rd_w=LV4LD&pd_rd_wg=UvK4p&pf_rd_p=d9d00c21-faeb-424a-a2d2-f6da0d984503&pf_rd_r=7BX1K1621H6DVQ579YPA&psc=1&refRID=7BX1K1621H6DVQ579YPA I hope this helps dude.. Let me know if you try the Hydrogen peroxide method I'm curious to see how that'd be :). I'll stick with UC roots as I believe it does more then just clean it also acts as a chelator and I'm very comfortable with it now. But do what you feel comfortable with for sure.. I'm gonna have to start charging you for all this advice :)

@@Darkwarsongs, so are you saying only top bucket when needed with fresh water & only use nutes when doing a full bucket bucket change of fresh water and nutes? Also this little lady is puzzling me. she small in size for some reason and is flowering going into the forth week & its only a week older this the pictures above......... tell me what you think. growdiaries.com/diaries/48945-purple-lemonade-grow-journal-by-smokedogg16

@@Darkwarsongs, I went to go get hydroguard and was told a cheaper alternative would be 3% hydrogen peroxide. I don't know how true that is so I just held off until someone can verify what was mentioned

I don't know enough about hydro to help really... but your temps might be a bit high for such a young plant. Add more info so someone that knows hydro can help you.

Looks great I think you were on the right track.. A good rule for every label is 1/2 the amount.. Then I will always add an extra litre or two of water... Next grow consider using nothing for the first week... I used only UC ROOTS and voodoo juice and I had some great results.. Loose the tin foil honestly.. :) they don't need the extra light or heat.... I use a landscaping type garbage bag material lol.. Use garbage bags cut to shape to keep the light out.. If your worried about temps in your reservoir, if you have air being pumped into the reservoir that should be enough.. After trying both with temperate controlled (water cooler) and without temperature control there was ZERO difference in my experience. As long as you have a good quality air pump of course :).

the aluminum foil is not helping at all and probably contributing to burning the leafs. hope you dial all this in growmie

That looks like phosphorus overload try flushing them and toning down the Nutes see if that helps have a google for Jorge Cervantes leaf deficiency pages from his grow bible I'd say it phospherus but if the ph changed suddenly or the air stone being taken away somehow could of caused lockout, lockout changes how the plant takes up available nutrients locking out certain ones and over taking others as I believe has happened here.

It is probably just nute burn try straight water for a few days

I don't know the exact temp of the water but it cool to touch but not warm. I say it's a tad bit below room temp
