Here we are getting started on Grow# 12, and as you've seen in my other grows, I've currently been testing out the "Original line" from FastBuds, so this time I decided to go with the Original Auto Sour Diesel and big ups to FastBuds for sponsoring this grow. Down below is a description of this strain along with a list of the equipment I'll be using for this grow.
Description
An auto-flowering West Coast Legend for fuel lovers. High in THC levels, reaching 21% with the world-famous fuel, citrus, sandalwood, and pine flavor that comes with this vintage Sativa dominant hybrid. Despite her Sativa influence, flowering time will only require 9-10 weeks from seed to harvest, making her ideal for growers who want classic, overpowering, pungent, sour terps in a short time frame. She may grow as tall as 120cm in height and will produce long, stacked buds typical of Sativa Cannabis. Her effects are energetic and clear-minded, that over time will develop into a dreamy focused buzz. An excellent choice for commercial growers and hash makers and extractors.
Smoke report
This lady can be deceptive with her sour, pungent, chemical fuel terpene profile into making you think she is a Kush variety. However, Original Auto Sour Diesel has an effect that is much an expression of her Sativa heritage and will keep you on a soaring, cerebral wave that with enhance creativity, energy levels and motivation. A really great strain to enjoy in public amongst friends, working on a creative project or gaming.
Plant Appearance
She can grow on the taller side and reach a height of 120cm due to her Sativa influence, where she will grow with medium-sized internodal spacing with a large number of side branches. When flowering, Original Auto Sour Diesel will produce up to 450-550gr/m2 of large-sized nugs, making her a large producing auto-flowering strain.
Grow Tips
Only for experienced growers, it is advised to perform L.S.T on plants for those with limited space. Tying down her long side branches will also allow the plants to focus her energy on producing huge colas. Hash makers and extractors will have plenty of leaf and sugar trim to use, so prepare in advance. Outdoors this hybrid performs incredibly well, especially in hotter climate zones. But, she can also handle cold nights well so it can be a good choice for colder climates, and will ripen with a dark purple color, making her even more special looking. This girl likes to drink nutrients, but avoid feeding too late during flower to improve the final taste, quality of ash and overall experience.
Flavor
The flavor of Original Auto Sour Diesel is a complex mixture of sandalwood, pepper, earth with notes of sour citrus. A heavyweight in the terps department and a true representation of fuel and gas cultivars.

On January 11th this seed was soaked for 48 hours in ph balanced water in a warm dark area. On January 13th the seed had cracked open and was placed in a paper towel and then in between two plates where it was left until the next day and by 4:00 p.m the taproot was a cm long and was planted in a mix of Happy Frog Soil and American Seed Starting Potting Mix, I went with the mixture because I've used the American Seed Starting Potting Mix before and it is some of the lightest and airy potting soil I've seen but it doesn't seem to have enough nutrients in it so I mixed it with the happy frog soil and even went with a fabric pot so that I can't overwater and to get more air to the roots. Within 24 hours this little lady had popped above the soil and was ready to grow, By January 18th I had big enough true leaves to began counting days. After that, I only misted her until day 4 where she received her first watering of 250 ml of pure water at a ph of 6.1.
Now it's time for my favorite part of my diary... "S/O TIME"!!! That's right it's time to give a BIG thank you to a few people for following my diaries such as @Fast_Buds and to all the many others it, means a lot to me for you to take time out of your day to show love, it is much appreciated.
Well, that's going to be all for this week guys, so until next time fellow growers and remember ..."Happy Growing" and "Free your mind one puff at a time".
Hi, just noticed you don't use the FloraGro part at this stage of growth for the plant - would love to know why?
I've just started using the line of nutrients.
@HazeyBobby, After doing some research I found that with the Cal-Mag and FloraMicro it gives the plant enough nitrogen to get great growth w/o using the FloraGro part at all. I also tend to grow autos so I use the philosophy "Less is Better", as growers we tend to want to give the plant a bunch of things in hope of having a great yield but all it actually does is mess up your harvest, so less is better. Hit me up with a message and I'll fill you in on how I use the GHE nutrient line throughout the grow.
Hey there,
Thanks so much for running a diary of our genetics 🙌
Let us know if you need any assistance, we’re more than happy to help.
Happy Growing !!! 🌱☘️🌴🍀🌿🌳
