It's coming along now... Few days ago the pistils on the plant seemed to be little bit brown, changed the nutes with a fresh mix and it's seemed to have perked up again. Been defoliating a bit, but unsure if I should go all the way and remove most of the fan leaves? Some do, but from what I heard you leave as many fan leaves as practical, and to only defoliate fan leaves blocking bud sites, or the ones allowing poor air circulation to the plant, ie overcrowding. Anyways, my main concern is how much darker this plant is to the rest of the plants. Can anyone shed some light into this? Update - a big shout out to all the growers who answered my grow question. Took all your advice into consideration... Just changed the Res, cut the excess nitrogen and just fed mostly PK elements with added Cal Mag. Also the air lines were twisted from the pump and could not pump enough air into the bucket. Might have been like that for at least 12-24 hrs... Feel like since acting on those changes this morning it's already made a difference. Will update soon.

Grow Questions

Hey guys, this NL auto is very dark compared with the other plants. Also had some spots on the leaves, but I did a Res change and defoliation of sick, bud site blocking leaves. Could it be a Cal-Mag deficiency? I was thinking nitrogen toxicity but no clawing of leaves.

Yes it would be a calcium deficiency at a early stage but can't be sure , you'r not running into a N toxicity to me BUT your plants are dark green so no problems if you cu a bit on the N in your feeding , of course purple light are well known to induce dark green foliage ( I've experimented it ((depending on the spectrum)) so it could be simply due to that fact. You' on the way and these issues are minor but can still be corrected. Free advice , in my opinion you can feed with a 1.8ec solution without seeing signs of over feeding

@raptor65, Thanks brother. Had a rocky start to the grow but I think I'm at a turning point. Love this site for the encouragement, and the simple fact you can reach out to other growers and ask questions to perfect what we love doing.
