Day 1: sprouted earlier this morning and compared to the other strain I am currently growing, it wasted no time shedding the seed shell. I’m currently keeping it covered by a misted cup to prevent the coco from drying out. Really looking forward to seeing this one grow. Any tips and comments are greatly appreciated. Coming to the end of day 1 and it’s first set of true leaves are showing. Very happy with the progress so far aswell as germinating extremely fast. I’ve cut some cardboard discs to try and slow down the coco drying out and removed the cup so she’s getting constant fresh air. Day 2: The discs I cut are working well. You can really see the first set of true leaves now. Happy with the progress so far. Day 3: progressing nicely. On just the third day the main stem root has grown out the bottom of the pot so I have cut the bottom off and placed the pot into a larger pot to allow it to keep growing down. I’ll probably remove the rest of the pot at the end of the week just so I can maintain the moisture around the plant better in the meantime. After over and under watering my other plant I’ve seen the negative effect it has in the growth process. Day 4: she’s shot up a lot in the first couple days but seems to have found its height now. I’ll simply pot slightly deeper when I transplant for more strength and so roots can potentially develop. I can see a new leaf popping out but there only seems to be one. She’s still a very young plant so I’ll see how she progresses. Day 5: she’s grown slightly since yesterday and with some slight human intervention moving the new growth on top of old growth you can now see the two new leaves. Day 6: only a very slight increase in size since yesterday one of the leaves has grown considerably and the other seems the exact same. I’ll see how she progresses and update. Day 7: slowly growing, I’ve started giving calmag so hopefully it’ll start to speed up growth soon. Not as far along as I was hoping but in week two I think I’ll start feeding a small dose of grow as I’ve noticed a lot of people feeding this strain early on and getting good results.

Day 8: slight increase in size since yesterday. I’m going to feed 250ml water tomorrow with .25Ml calmag. I think I’ll wait a bit longer before feeding grow. I’ll add more details tomorrow. Happy growing! Any advice is appreciated! Day 9: a lot of growth since yesterday the smaller leaves have developed small fingers and I can see another set of leaves making its way up. I’ve fed her 250ml of water with .25ml of calmag. I didn’t get a chance to water the pot before starting this grow so once she’s a bit bigger I’ll increase the dosage slightly. Not quite as far along as I hoped for the age she is but I’m happy with the progress. I’ve added some sticky sheets on all my pots and hung one up as I noticed some sort of flies in the tent. I’ll check up later and see if they’ve caught anything. I’ve also removed the cardboard I had covering the coco to now start a proper wet-dry cycle. This should help with the pests aswell as growth. Day 10: only a slight increase in size since yesterday, I’m hoping that once she dries out plenty and I water again she’ll start to take off. The medium is definitely too moist and I believe this is what is slowing growth. A mistake I keep making and I’ll definitely learn from it. The sticky sheet I added in the tent has caught one flying pest and i haven’t noticed anything else flying around since so I’m hoping this is enough for now. Day 11: not much to say apart from growth is very slow, but again I think this is from being too moist and I’m still playing the waiting game drying out. Hopefully she picks up once I get the watering under control. Day 12: not much to say. Very minuscule growth, the medium is finally starting to dry out so hopefully after drying out and giving a small water she is okay. Day 13: only seems to be an increase in size in the new growth. The two single finger leaves are looking very unhealthy, starting to go yellow from the ends and there’s some marks on them. I’ll look into it and hopefully find a solution. Letting the coco dry out doesn’t seem to be working out for it so my last thought is that the ph levels in the soil aren’t right. I’ve watered 300ml with calmag and grow so I’ll see how she progresses. Day 14: after a quick water she’s starting to show positive results. The two single finger leaves look super unhealthy but the newer growth has started to get a lot larger and looks much better. so for now I Am not worried hopefully this is the start of a clean run.

Day 15: she’s had a very bad start. The single leaves are slightly yellow with orange looking spots on them. The new growth is still looking healthy and slowly developing. I’m unsure what the cause is with the environment being pretty spot on just slight up and downs in temperature. I’m thinking a nutrient deficiency or a possible problem with my medium maybe wrong ph or something. Possibly give a larger amount of water to get ph where it needs to be. Any advice is welcomed. Day 16: I’ve given her some water with calmag and grow. I gave a slightly larger amount of water at 6 ph to try and adjust the medium ph. Hopefully she starts to pick up in the coming days. Day 17: there’s been a slight amount of growth but unfortunately the new growth is looking affected so I must still have a ph problem. The plastic pot is really struggling to dry the medium and I wanted to put her in a fabric pot but her roots are just too big to be transplanting so I’ve made a lot of holes around the pot. I’ve also dug up a lot of the top coco revealing a very long stem so realistically the plant is only getting half the pots Space. But I’m hoping this will allow the medium where the roots are too dry better and then I should be able to rectify the ph issue. Day 18: maybe a slight amount of growth, there’s been that little it’s hard to tell. After taking some of the coco out she dried out a fair amount so I went ahead watering with calmag and grow at ph6. I’m praying this rectifies the problem I’m having. I’m also thinking I need to somehow maximise the root space as there’s already multiple roots coming out the bottom of the pot. Day 19: she’s grown slightly but is now changing colour on all the tips. I’ll wait until the coco has dried out again to decide if she’s progressing or not and then decide what to do next. I’m going to remove the bottom of the plastic pot and place it on top of another pot just to give it a bit more space as there’s a few roots growing out the bottom of this pot already. I should’ve grown in a fabric pot from the start, in my opinion fabric pots are better aerated and the plastic one retains water for too long. Day 20: hopefully I’m not speaking to soon but the spots on leaves don’t seem to be progressing anymore and she’s finally showing signs of growth. I’m still going to try and extend the amount of soil she’s got underneath as I messed up when transplanting the first time round, planting her too deep. Day 21: she’s starting to progress nicely and I’ve cut the bottom of the pot off and placed her on top of another pot. I watered the bottom pot with 1L of water with calmag and grow at ph6. With nothing being disturbed I’m hoping this has no negative effect on her.

Day 22: she started making some progress but now I’ve noticed some white looking hairs coming out. Could anyone shine any light on this? I’m not sure if giving her more space was a good idea. I’ve watered her with some calmag and hopefully she picks up. Day 23: she’s responded nicely to the calmag I gave her standing a bit taller and less droopy. I have mixed opinions on what could be going on with this plant but sadly only time will tell the outcome. I’m praying for her to live the whole cycle and I don’t expect much from it. I definitely need to improve something when first starting them off as two grows in a row I’ve stunted them early. Day 24: she continues to grow which I can be happy about but I nervously await the end result. Hopefully all still goes well. Day 25: slight growth since yesterday. Not much else to say I just wait to see what happens to her. Day 26: after moving the light further away and bending the stem over slightly she’s grown a little. She stood back up rather quickly. I’ve given her some grow nutrients so hopefully she’ll start to pick up the pace slightly. After some advice I realise she’ll only be a small plant and probably won’t yield much. Not the end of the world but I’m going to see it through and I’m still going to learn plenty from this plant before starting my next blue dream grow. Day 27: sadly she’s not growing well and I think this may be down to over watering. I’m not taking too much care of her but I’m going to see it through and leave her to the side to see how she gets on. On the plus side she’s got some nice purple colours which is a nice sight to see. Day 28: she seems to be changing a lot but I can’t notice any major growth. The pistils look larger and the purple is spreading but I can’t see any growth in the leaves. I’ll have to wait and see how she gets on.

Grow Questions
Ema26
Ema26started grow question 5 years ago
Can anyone offer any info on my plant? It looks like it’s popping pistils at the tiny size it is. I can’t find any information on it when researching. What can I expect to happen next? Is it worth keeping her going or should I just start one of the other strains I have waiting?

Day 29: growth has continued very very slowly I don’t really expect much from her. Just going to see it through and see what she does. Day 30: I placed a bottle over the top of her yesterday but I don’t think I can notice any differences just yet. Hopefully she picks up soon. Day 31: I’ve removed the bottle and bent her over. Hopefully she stretches upwards. Day 32: she definitely looks different she’s just moving very very slowly. Still undecided on what to do with her😆 the obvious answer is to start over but I don’t want to let her go🤣

Day 36: she shows a bit of growth since the last update and she still looks nice and healthy. Still not much to say I’ll just keep her going for the duration of my other plant before I take it all down and relocate for my next grow! I’m hoping lst can encourage growth a little bit and she gets a bit bigger. Only time will tell what will happen. I’ve also planted a couple bag seeds one in its own pot and one with the PL. this is purely to learn from before I start my next grow and for a little bit of entertainment🤣 happy growing!😎

Day 43: she’s slowly developing areas and growing. I’ve barely been giving her attention just watering when needed as I’m much more focused on finishing up my other grow and then completely starting fresh with some photo periods. She’s got some very nice purple colours and I can see some future bud sites lower down on the plant. My two bag seeds have surfaced one of them being deformed with tri leaves and the other looking relatively normal. I have no idea what they are just thought I’d use them as a learning exercise. What breeders would you recommend for the best photo periods and why? Many thanks and happy growing😎

Day 50: she’s developed a fair amount considering the lack of attention she’s been getting. I’m not sure what went wrong but she’s a nice little plant. She’s looking a lot more purple and she actually smells pretty sweet. I’ll be pulling her out when I harvest my other plant as I don’t have the time to see it through. I removed the triple leaf seedling and the other one seems to be doing okay. The leaves are a lot rounder than other plants I have grown and was wondering if this means it’s more a indica strain. Happy growing!😎

Day 57: she seems to have stopped growth and development not much really seems to be happening. She’ll continue until I harvest my other grow. On the up side my new light is proving to be fantastic with the seedling! It’s grown a hell of a lot in the last 3 days and I’m even more excited to start my next season. By the looks of things I’ll be lucky to get a joint off the purple lemonade🤣 onwards and upwards! Happy growing!😎🍁🌱 Edit: the RQS sherbet queens have arrived I’ll be waiting for some coco to arrive then pulling both the lemonade and bag seed and starting on 2 queens and one blue dream from fast buds.

I can’t really give this strain a review as I messed up at the start which effected the whole grow. Although I can say it looks and smells amazing. I’m starting blue dream next so hopefully that grow is more successful.

Think I went wrong with the ph from the start which affected growth massively and then I messed around with the pot unnecessarily. She’s yielded a massive .5 so I guess I’ll smoke her in a joint🤣 she dried up in 3 ish days. I’ll leave my thoughts on it when I do! I’m now starting up on some rqs sherbet queens and a blue dreamatic fast buds. Thanks for reading😎 happy growing🌱🍁

She's starting to bud. What will want to do is raise your light about 2-2.5 ft. She will chase the light and double-triple in size daily. I tend to give my autos a bit more sleep than 4 hrs and noticed more bud production.

@Ema26, im a canada climate, cold at night is a good trick to bring out blues and purples when in last few wks of flower. But you want to keep her warm next few weeks. I like 90 day, 80-75 night. Then drop down to 60-65 at night when in last couple weeks for color. Day time i always stay high 80s to low 90s. You sweat walking into my room if lights on
Ema26
Ema26commented5 years ago
@Fusion, that explains it a bit, it does get a little cold overnight. I’ve done exactly that. Thanks for the advice!

Fusioncommented5 years ago
@Ema26, just watch your heat. Plants like to be warm if it's too cool than you'll get min. growth. Try cutting a soda bottle bottom off place over plant. Like mini green house. Can adjust the humidity by removing the cap.

@Fast_Buds, many thanks! I was wondering what nutrients you recommend for growing in coco. I see a lot of people growing without nutrients but they seem to be growing in soil. Thanks again!

@Greengirl420, I know right😢 the really is no space for error with autos. Thanks I think I’ll try a photoperiod next and focus more on training techniques.

Those brown spots are a pH issue. You should shoot for a pH of 6 and also she looks a little hungry. I would give her 1/4th dose of nutrients every time you water and she will be happy. And be careful not to overwater. Letting the medium dry out on top between waterings will help control the gnats. Also little yellow sticky traps work great. Good luck! Hope you get some nice purple buds.
Ema26
Ema26commented5 years ago
@Wicked_Stix, I’m glad you said that, I gave her some calmag and grow last night at 6 ph and was worried it might be too much. I gave her approx 300 ml. The yellow sticky traps are a godsend I have had no issues with gnats since putting them in and letting it dry out between waterings. Many thanks for the advice! I’ll check out your page!

My autos are around that size when they flower. Just after 4 set of true leaves. However when harvesting she's around 4ft. Autos will chase the light and stretch more than regs.

@DoDrugs420, don’t go to heavy😅 give her some grow and see if it helps, any sort of bloom nutes won’t help your case, I think that’s where I went wrong, good luck👌

It looks like she is about to transition to flower. Unfortunately she probably won't yield much, but that's how it goes with autos sometimes. Not much room for error, but tons of opportunity for learning 💜💜

Ema26commented5 years ago
@Wicked_Stix, thanks for the response! That’s very interesting to know. I didn’t think it was possible with the plant being so small and thought it maybe to do with some sort of mould. I couldn’t find anything about it when reading articles. I’m not too worried about yield I’m purely just learning at the moment with no expectations. I’ve learnt a lot from my other grow just sadly I keep messing up the start😢
