Well... I will say this about Canuk seeds. I am 4 for 4 on germination. That's a pretty good record. Certainly getting my money's worth on them. Their genetics have shown good results so far. Cindy Stretched a little bit but I'm okay with that. I put the humidifier and fan in the tent to start training the stems to thicken up. My wife has decided to call her plant "Buttons" ...

The second set of true leaves have developed and I transplanted this little lady into her final home. She is still a little too young to start feeding nutrients so she will just get water for another week. I might start adding a little calcium and magnesium to the water. However, that will be about it. Next week I will start a nutrient regime as well as adding a bacterial field to the soil.

Not a whole lot to add this week. Just waiting for the roots on this plant to develop. I have noticed when these plants have a hardy enough root system to take in nutrients, their growth just goes nuts. For me that usually happens in the 4th or 5th week from seed. Once they have started to really grow, I will bump up the nutrient regime to about 1ml/gal and add a bacterial and fungal field to the soil using RAW Microbes Grow Stage from NPK.

I left town for the holidays so I don't have any pics for the last 5 days. Hell, I don't even know what my plants look like right now. I have a friend watching my house and feeding my plants. I started an aggressive veg growth feeding regime and added a microbial and fungal inoculation. I get back on Monday and I am really looking forward to seeing how my plants have grown.

Well... She doubled in size over the last week! That was interesting. I came back from vacation and she just exploded with growth. I missed the node I planned on topper her at so she will be a little taller than I originally planned. No big deal really. She has also started showing some preflowers. However, she still has another month or two before I put her to flower though. I like to take my time and train these plants.

I overdosed the plant with epsom salt and may have caused a calcium lock out. This plant does not like to many nutes in the soil. I flushed it out and the damage seems to be contained. She is still growing strong! I defoliated the bottom of the plant to clear a way for the lower side shoots to grow up. Pretty soon I will be able to start forming the canopy for flower. The way this plant is growing. I imagine that will be in about a month or so.

This plant has started to grow like crazy. I really like the genetics that Canuk Seeds has sold me so far. Cindy99 has been a real piece of cake to grow. I went through her and removed a ton of foliage on the lower part of the plant. I also started to tie the branches off so that they are evenly positioned to receive as much light as possible. The canopy is starting to take shape and am looking forwards to flower this plant in a few weeks.

Sorry for the lack of content this week. I have been swamped with work and studies. It's hard to keep up with documentation. This plant is growing great. It is drinking about a gallon every two days and just exploding with new growth. I haven't had to fight her tops with super cropping or anything. She has this incredibly even top very healthy new growth. Fantastic strain so far. She has started giving off a funky smell. Like ozone, raw bananas, and coffee.

There is a smell coming from this plant that reminds me of a dirty locker room. I was a little concerned that I might have some kind of mold or bacteria growing in the tent. After a good inspection of my tent and plants, I found nothing that would indicate anything wrong with them. The only thing that I can think of that might be causing the smell is the soil itself. I inoculate the soil with worm castings and microbe powders once a week. Maybe there is serious bacterial field growing in the soil and it's producing that smell... Anyway. The second week of flower has been very good. She grew another 2 inches and has exploded with budding tops. I had to raise my lights all the way to the ceiling to make sure they don't nuke my plants. The tent is full and every inch is covered in bud sights! Can't wait to see them pack on some weight.

Well... She has stopped stretching at 25 inches and is now in full bloom. I switched her nutrients to a full bloom regime and added some liquid KoolBloom to the mix. Sorry about the quality of pictures. My degree has a very demanding schedule this semester. These girls are pretty much on auto pilot for the duration. They are looking really good. I did some mild defoliation in order to open up the lower canopy. The bods are starting to get a little frosty and her smell is starting to develop nicely.

Sorry about the short post. I have been sick the last week and haven't had much time to document the grow. Not much to report anyway. Flowers are growing well and starting to get frosty. She seems super happy and filling out well. There won't be much to report on until about two weeks from now when she really begins to put on weight. Until then I will just be taking a pic or two and maybe a video for the next couple of entries.

I just added weeks 5 and 6 into one week because I didn't really have time to post last week. There seems to be a problem with my plants that I can't quite figure out. The only commonality that I changed with both plants since the last grow is the microbe Inoculant that I bought from NPK. The Black Afghan that I harvested back in November didn't have these microbes added to the soil and it grew into a monster. I am beginning to wonder if these microbes are stealing food from my plant. Even though these microbes are sold as "flowering" microbes. I'm beginning to think they are starving my plants. Also, I am technically 7 weeks from the flip to 12/12. So I may just be at the end of the flower period for these plants. I checked the Tricomes and they are mostly cloudy with about 5-10% amber. Normally at this point I would be cutting out the nutrients and letting her consume her leaves. However, she has already started to so that and now I don't know what to do. I just don't know. So... lesson learned. Stick to the basic nutes and stop trying to make this job harder than it needs to be. KISS

Week 7 (actually week 8 from 12/12 flip) of flower and Cindy is pissed at me. I'm going to harvest next week. The yellow has spread all over the plant. She is either starved or ready for harvest. I screwed something after the stretch period and she never really recovered from it. The buds range in size from about that of an olive to the size of an egg. Her trichomes are all cloudy with about 10% amber. Over the next week I will flush with plain water and let her drink till she drys. Then I'm gonna cut her down and start on the next project.

I ended up harvesting a week too early because the plant was dying and I couldn't figure out why. It wasn't until after I harvested what the issue was. Root bound.

@BudKingsGrow, I haven't been able to watch her lie I usually do. I pretty much just open the tent every other day to check their soil. I have been too busy to hover over them lately. Everything is on a timer so they are pretty much on autopilot. They are doing pretty well on their own. I'm pretty happy with their development.

Are you sure it's a Ca-excess? For me it just looks like a damage from your light from watering (lupe effect). The leaf below has some white stains, too. So it would be an option. The plant looks healthy. http://loudclouds.co/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/marijuana-deficiency-chart-jorge-cervantes.jpg Stay green dude. 😊

@AbroCadabro, Ignore the Trace Elements. If you have something like that....throw your plant out of the window... 😇 Primary Nutrients and maybe Secondary, thats all what you need to know. Stay green dude. 👋

@AbroCadabro, Oiy!! What a vigorous Lady you have there! You might be pushed into super-cropping unless you have a taller Grow Room. I have had the worst luck with super-cropping myself - Always seems to over stress out my girls and stall growth/bud production. But then again, I never really researched it well enough to find the best ways to go about it. Hope all turns out amazingly for you 👍

They could be locked out unable to feed due to wrong pH or too strong ec u could remove the faded leaves this would allow the plant to focus more n finishing the buds and possibly give a flush and restart on half dose nutes see if helps she doesn't look finished yet could still probably sort it i wouldn't flush and chop at this point though you could start a long flush for a few week see f it helps her finish up hope u sort it buddy

@Ageddd, Thank you! The tent is the perfect size for what I need. My wife and I prefer different stains so I get to grow one for her and one for myself. The last grow, I grew her a White Widow which I did terrible with. We only got about an ounce out of that plant while I got 6 out of the Black Afghan. So I have to make up for it in this grow or she'll give hell for sure!. Cinderell 99 is turning out great and I think she'll be happy with the crop.

AbroCadabro
AbroCadabrocommented7 years ago
@biggreens420, Yeah. At about the 5th or 6th node I usually top them. I then use LST to train the two new offshoots and side branches into a canopy. Once I have a decent enough canopy formed with 12-14 main tops I defoliate everything but the top 2 nodes. Let the plant recover for a week or so, then flip to flower.
