Oops, too much nutes! I totally overlooked the leafs curling upwards at the tip.
I don't have any choise but to start flushing. In 48 hours I'll give her GHE Ripen for the last stretch.
And again, for a second grow, I'm learning so much. Luckily the community is awesome and you can research a lot by yourself. But at the and of the day, nothing beats experience. Let's hope the next ones will be even better with less mistakes. I am definatelly hooked on growing!
Again, let me know what you think of this grow!
I'm curious of anyone knows if this strain produces amber colored trichomes. I've read some stuff on the internet that certain strains produce almost none at all. I can't tell of people are telling the truth or I just should have more patience and wait for them to show up 😄
When you believe it's time to harvest, I do suggest you to put in 48h of total darkness, more trich will appear, bigger they will get, and some of them will go from clear to cloudy, and from cloudy to amber.
Pretty sure you will normally very true sativa strains will not amber or pink /purple strains quite hard to tell sometimes. But yours are still only about 50/50 cloudy so it may come in a couple of weeks. As soon as you see the first Amber you want to start flush and within a week or two they'll probably be what you're looking for. 🌱👍
@DangerMouse, well done for DIY, this is the way!👊
I built myself my DWC system and lights, if you want to know more about it you can check the first week of my LSD grow 😉
@Experimentgreen, @RastaMouse, I've uploaded the original pics of the trichomes here: https://imgur.com/a/wXHgl8y
The trichomes look like they are 75% milky. What do you think? Do they need to be even milky'er or is this the maximum opacity?
@DangerMouse,my goal is to get better each grow. I’ve been doing this 20+ years. Something my father taught me growing up. Outdoor of coarse. I try to learn something new every day. From what I see LST is a great way to increase yield. That’s the technique I’ve been using lately and it does seem to up my yields. One of the biggest lessons I learned this grow is to get my plants off the floor of the tent. My basement flooded causing me to over water in week 7. It’s been a constant fight to get back from that ever since. But they seem to be making it just fine. Happy growing bro!
@Greeneyedgrower, thanks man!
It's my first proper grow with a tent and lights. Even though she's a beast, I still made many mistakes on all kinds of fronts. The next one is gonna even be bigger, healthier and better!
Currently I want to know if certain training techniques substantially add yield. So this grow there's only some defoliation and the tiniest amount of lollypopping. The next one is getting defoliation, LST and full Lollypopping. I did not remove any popcorn nugs this time.
I counted visible 33 cola's just off one of the pics. Let's hope she's gonna crush my goal of 100 grams!
Happy growing,
DangerMouse
Well done mate! There are many colas!
I have a couple of questions for you 😅
Do you have any air recirculation between inside/outside (or vice versa) of the growbox?
It looks like she loves this light! 🌞 Wich type of lights are you using?
@DangerMouse, well done for DIY, this is the way!👊

@CRK00, Thanks!
There are two 230mm PC fans hooked to a 12V powersupply that runs everytime it gets above the temperature I have set on my inkbird ITC-308 wifi thermostat. The bottom fan pushes cold air in and the fan in the ceiling of the tent sucks the hot air out. I've used ducts as seen in week 4 where I mount the fan to the duct. If it looks stupid but it works, it aint stupid hahah 🙌. Once I'm moved, i'll get a bigger tent. This one is 60x60x170cm... Way too small for a DWC growth, if any.. I just don't have the space right now 😅
I've made my custom growlights using 4 cheap AliExpress 220V 50W COB LED's, CPU fans to mount them to, powersupplies for both 220V and the 12V CPU fans and some lenses. So there's a total of 200W of light blasting down on her. I have a lux meter and at 30cm from the canopy it measures 45K lux. Not too bad. For veg I used the 3500K version and for flowering the 370-780nm spectrum. Here's a link to the shop: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32720760568.html
