She has improved this week, with some nutrient burn, but continues to grow. The transplant on Day 15 to a 1 gallon pot with Canna coco and 150 mL of Gaia Green worm castings mixed in has helped her. The solo cup she came out of was fully rooted and starting to become rootbound. This is my first run with bottled nutrients and I need to get her dialed in, on a Strain I have never grown. On day 21 I topped her at the fifth node, and defoliated her big fan leaves to expose the young shoots at each node site to the light. I plan to start her main-line training next week after a little more growth. Day and night temps are around 79 to 82 F. I've included some VPD charts that capture my 2x4 ft. tent environmental parameters.
Happy Growing!
Peace,
DeaneR😎
Hey, how goes the battle?
Plants look great👍
You need some yelloww sticky tabs for the flies, I'm just getting the gnats in my house under control, so far none in my tent🙏
If you don't mix the diotamaceus earth with sand it will clump up and look like perlite, but sticky.
My whole house is full of yellow sticky tabs, but the numbers are way down almost nothing😀 they seem to like my coffee.
Later.
stay sane, stay medicated,lol
@DeaneR Hey, good morning
We have been trying to keep the top 1'' of the soil dry in all of our house plants, seems to be working.
Have been using these watering glass globes, remember seeing them on t.v. fill with water and stick in the soil, can't remember what they are called. (will post pics)
Most of the gnats are gone, the odd one flying around the house, 0 in the tent🙏
Your Plants look awesome!!
Later!!
@northernMike, I just added a photo of the Nightlight trap above. A plastic yellow file folder wrapped around a LED nightlight and smeared with tanglefoot.
@northernMike, True, yes sir the diatoms clump up. Unfortunately I have no sand on hand. I just stir up the top inch with a fork to help breakup the clumps. See my Glueberry OG diary Veg Week 5, to see my previous battle with the gnat, and how to make your own sticky traps ( they work great, and cheap ). I use sticky traps throughout my house also (window sills, and anywhere near drains or sources of water). I even wrapped a homemade sticky trap around a Dollarama LED nightlight ( they can't resist the light, (insert sinister evil laughter)). I remove the unsightly sticky traps when photographing my grows😝. Take care bud!
