Growing it

Strong

This strain grows strong, and wasn't fussy. A good choice for novice growers. This one left me feeling very relaxed, with a clear mind. A real "body buzz". She's a good evening or daytime smoke that doesn't leave me "couchlocked" and makes it easy to just relax or get things done.

Another grow complete! :grinning:

This was my first grow with bottled nutrients. The Canna Coco A and B was simple to use and worked great with very little buildup of "salts". Despite not using the full Canna lineup, the plant remained healthy and happy. Most of the vegetative growth was done using a mix of Gaia Green 4-4-4 dry amendment fertilizer at 1/4 strength and the Canna Coco A and B along with some Cannazym, Armor Si, Cal-Mag Plus, and VeloKelp. I also used Recharge once a week throughout the grow to boost the root-zone microbes.

This grow was strongly influenced in week 5, when my plans to grow out a conventional 16 top main-line, were crushed. I accidentally broke off a whole quadrant of my main-lined girl, with a misguided watering can. This mishap led to many more weeks of training and reshaping the plant back to a symmetrical shape. The final structure of the plant with 13 colas surrounding a central cola, turned out quite nicely, and wouldn't have happened, if not for my clumsiness.

The plant received two days of darkness prior to harvest at the end of week 9 of flower. I hung her up whole, and dried her for 12 days in the dark @ 60F and RH of 55-60%.

I am very happy with the outcome. 180 grams, off 100 watts of LED, in a 2X2ft space:smile:. Thank you to all my fellow growers who helped, liked, or commented on this diary. Keep an eye out for my second run of this strain. A ScrOG'd clone from this plant!

Peace,
DeaneR:sunglasses:.

Grow Questions
DeaneR week 14 started grow question 1 year ago
This question is for the Canna Coco Nutrient users!
How do you implement Canna PK 13/14 in flowering? Timing, dosage, duration, yada yada yada!!!!:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
I small batch mix and hand pour. I'm new to Canna bottled nutrients and the Pk 13/14 booster.
All feedback is welcome, Thanks :+1::sunglasses:

Nova1 answered grow question 1 year ago
hey man i love that stuff but you do have to time it. So the best way i figured out (with advice from someone on GD) is to measure the buds against your thumb, add the PK booster when the buds are at LEAST the size of your thumbs. This stuff is crazy, time it right and you'll notice more frost starting the very next day. Hope this helps ! :rocket:

@Mrs_Larimar,Thank you so much for your encouragement and support of my grow journals. I have had great grows with Spider Farmer lights. The SF 7000 is going to be a real game changer.

Man I am giving you so many respects for what you've done. I am really amazed on your symmetry. Epic job, you influenced me a lot!!!

@DeaneR, I am a little confused with the fact that my plant right now is on 3rd weak and it has very tough stem and small internodes. I am waiting for her to stretch and train her but she is getting tougher. I hope I do it right, thanks for your advice!!

DeaneR
DeaneR

@ZigkGrow, Just have the confidence to give her a bend daily. Use some gentle ties to hold the branches were you want them. I learned a ton about plant training and manipulation with vineing style tomatoes. You would be surprised how much gentle...yet violent manipulation they can endure. Lol .

@ZigkGrow, Thank you. You can do it too!

@c2_farms,Stay tuned... a 9X5 might be a reality!

DeaneR
DeaneR

@c2_farms,Thank you. I can appreciate that this technique of plant training is not for everyone. I grow in 2x4 ft tents for my own use. I really hate trimming larf....so the extra time spent in vegetative growth works for me. I would love to have a 9x5 ft tent to grow some nicely trained bushes in:sunglasses:. :v::snowflake::sunflower::on::fire:

@ButtersStotch, I was thinking the same. I'm in a holding pattern for now, damn heatwaves make tent growing impossible for me right now.

Awesome harvest :ok_hand: and I love the shape you trained that plant into - that will be my aim for my venture into micro-grows :)
You think the trim bin is worth it? ... great job on the manicuring too :ok_hand:

@DeaneR, cheers mate - sounds really good.

DeaneR

@HazeyBobby, Get one! I know it seems pricey for what looks like two kitty litter boxes stacked atop each other, but it makes trimming up more ergonomic. It collects all that kief that fall through the mesh screen. Also, can be used to separate plant material from pollen, if you want to try some pollen chucking . Check out YTube for some videos on making dry sift hash with frozen trimmings.
