Things are going pretty good this week:smirk: still feeding plain water right out of the tap, warmed up to room temp. 1 Early Miss and 1 Candy cane not looking so good A little stunted and a little bit yellow, not sure why:dizzy_face: All other plants are in good shape. Grow Big!!
Hey everybody, just wondering about the reasoning behind putting your plant into darkness before the harvest? Does this do something to the trichomes or the THC or CBD levels? Any advice would be helpfull. Thanks Much:facepunch:
To me its a myth. The attempted effect should be abig resin production because the plant is trerrified. But i think it dont work at all its just a myth. I done it.. putting aflushed plant into darkness, the only thing I got was mold...... so i dont theink its useable at all
@TastyBudzz,could be a number of reasons:smirk: Hot spots in the soil, Overwatering when the plant is very young, Maybe having the light a little to close, could have been some user error as well:dizzy_face: I think you take a bit of a chance with multiple strains growing in the tent at the same time because they don't always need the same amounts of food or water. Later!!
@northernMike, did a bit of digging. My theory is that the seed embryo is infected. The way it happens is still being investigated. It's estimated that 20 percent of viruses can be transmit to the seed itself. The other theory is fungi attack the seed after sprouting. But that would not explain that random plants in your garden were effected.
@TastyBudzz,thanks:facepunch: I've heard some people sterilize their seeds in an aspirin solution, never tried it myself, might be something to check into:smirk:. Later!
@Skatha,so far 90% seed germination from the crop king:+1: after that, well, not sure what happened(user error)LOL:no_mouth: Anyways, pretty happy with the King. Thanks and Grow Big!!
I wonder if seeds can have a virus . Sucks you lost two plants. The others are good I can't think what else would cause a plant to fail.
Finished crop looks to be very successful!
