I started this seed a week after the other ones when one didn't pop. then this one had an issue where the seed coat was stuck on and was probably a day from death. I very carefully broke the seed coat and pulled it off and almost broke the leaves off too.
Day 1 is counted not when it germinates, but when it started to actually grow and respond, spent a whole week stuck in its seed coat.
It took 4 days to open up but her cotyledons are open and she's finally growing some normal leaves. this one will be 2 weeks behind all the other ones so probably just grew her for fun because I figured that critical super Silver Haze will grow and fill the net before this one can really even get started. I don't think I'm going to top it just minimal training, maybe take a clone.
It's been 8 days since removing the seed, growing nicely now. Look at it today and you'd never know it's almost a month old and struggled with its coat for two weeks.
It was such a tiny seed, and it's making such a tiny plant. I know she'll explode though, great things come in little packages.
D15: it's so tiny and cute. The seed was small, the plant is small, I hope the buds aren't small. It's slowly expanding tho....
D21: recovering quite slowly from the topping.
D21: kind of slow to recover from the topping, but then again this has been a very slow, but steady kind of plant. Fairly unremarkable thus far, it was pretty small last week but expanded a little bit. Waiting on an explosion of growth to make it worth it or this gal will be very little when the tent goes into flower.
D24: bent her a little bit to keep the two top branches at an even height with the lower ones.
D28: still smaller than the others but it seems to be catching up to the green crack a little bit. I mean, there's not as many branches but the sizes are almost comparable. This little lady is stretching nicely.
D30/31: transplanted to the final pot. Nice timing as the roots were just circling the bottom and starting to poke out the sides. Very nice white thick roots too. Should see this little one just keep chugging along now that she has more root space. I think if I gave it a long enough veg it could outgrow the green crack.
D35: will LST this weekend. There's some branches trying to get light as it's starting to take off in the full sized pot.
Also has a few thrips. Idk where they come from considering in careful with my soil usage. Ive been squishing them twice a day for a few days now, hope they don't get out of control again, might need some mites to combat them.
D38: growing nicely, producing some branches. Bent it down today. Still thrips, two or three everytime I check on it. If i start finding more I'll have to buy a grub grenade from Amazon. I've been spraying it with a soapy mixture and rinsing it off with a splash of water after.
Let as well today
D42: another week and a half and I'll switch to flower. This one has been smallish the whole time. Cute little leaves.
Still a thrip or two everytime I check, but it's down from dozens.
D45: didn't train it with the others as she only has little leaf nubs in the nodes, no real branches yet. Will probably train it next week, then switch the tent to flower the week after.
D50: about a week of veg left. Next Sunday it'll be flipped. Since the training last it has been quite vigorous. Did a small amount of defoliation to open up the inside after I took today's pic.
D53: I think this is actually growing a bit faster than the green crack, but the ~10 day difference makes this one smaller.
D57: To prep from flower I took off the old big fan leaves and small sucker branches. I've also gone basically the whole veg with no ferts in my soil mix, but now I've been feeding with my fish ferment mix every second day. Added in the general organics GO Thrive to the mix to add some food for the soil as it's not salt based so it takes a little time to start to break down.
For how small it started I'm surprised how much steam it picked up and how it's doing now. Caught up to the green crack I feel. We'll see now in flower.
D60: first day of 12/12
D63: not much different from the end of last week, this is the fourth day of 12/12, switch Monday. This week should be the start of the stretch, next week should be the end. Looking forward to seeing how she looks by next Friday.
F11: stretching quite a bit on the first full week. Growth has been pretty comparable to the green crack, both of which are slower than the haze strain I'm growing which is pretty surprising.
Still feeling okay about it though, nice little buds forming but not many hairs yet, waiting for a whole bunch of hairs to sprout at once and make it look like and explosion.
F17: a few hairs starting to push out. Waiting for my little pubey explosion.
F18: a little bit of stretching last week, a small bit of bud formation. Waiting for a hairy explosion. Very nice aesthetic on it, I feel. I hope the buds grow enough to fill the gaps.
F24: growing nicely this week, lots of hairs and some good buds starting. But honestly, the resin has no smell. It's so fuckin weird. You rub the leaves, give the little buds a squeeze and your fingers get sticky but there is literally zero smell
F26: it seems like the bud formation is very interesting. Very nug-like already. There is still almost zero smell even when you touch the plant which is very weird
F29: very nug like growth. Kind of neat. Will probably be a super super easy trim.
F32: still no smell on these plants which is very weird, but the buds are forming very nice. You can see the nugs are very, nug like... I feel like there's going to be a really easy trim in my future
F39: growing well. Hasn't really faded, but then again the plant isn't too big so it probably doesn't need to consume itself to get bigger. Still no smell when I touch the plant and the growth is still nice and nug like.
Going to be the easiest trim of my life.
There's a slow swell on size, I think next week I'll break out the Nikon to get some good up close pics so I can start to follow the trichomes.
F46: chunky golf ball nugs. Still no smell though, which is weird. Staying greener than all the others.
f48: Looks actually pretty close based on the pictures I took. Still will probably let it get closer to 60 days.
This plant started off as of the smallest seedlings I ever had. It was slow to get started but ended up catching up to some of the other strains I had. Ended up finishing in 53 days, which is very nice and close to the expected 55.
Nugs were nice dense round little Indica nugs covered in resin with very little smell.
Only once you've got up close did you realize it had a very slight sweet gassy smell, kind of like you spilled some fuel in your hands when you're filling up your car's gas tank and you tried to wash it off multiple times throughout the day you noticed at the end of the night do your hands still smell like gas from that time you fucked up in the morning but it's still kind of covered up with the smell of something floral. The low levels of smell would be good in some situations for some people actually, I'm curious to see what it smells like after it's cured for a few weeks. I'll have an update when it's all trimmed in about 8 to 10 days.
Not a super high yield there but very low demanding plant, stayed green, and the low smell I feel would make this a wonderful indoor strain for someone that is space limited or is trying to remain relatively hidden.
Dry update: as it dried it got smellier and smellier, stinking kinda tangy.
As I trimmed it I noticed some pollen bananas on the lowest flower, but they were immature and sterile.
The small amount of dust that falls onto the trim paper usually doesn't come off your fingers if you try and pick it up, too dusty. But this plant had a little bit of gold dust that just turned into perfect hash when I rolled it in my fingers. I also got more scissor has than usual while trimming.
Ended up with exactly 2 ounces, 56 g off the one plant, vegged for 60 days, flowered for 53.
After sitting in the jar for three weeks it's mellowed out and smells like warm milk. Not sour milk, just milk that's been on the counter for for six hours until it's room temp. Very nice smooth smoke as well, although the yield was a little smaller this was a very nice smelly, hashy plant, which was very easy to trim
harvested on day 53. Maybe could have went a little longer but I needed to have the drying area free for the great white shark that's going to be done soon. Wanted to get this one out of the way.
Very easy grow with this plant stay Green wasn't too hungry. Very Indica in the growth in that it never really stretched and then nugs are dense and round. The lowest smell would also make it good for low profile grows.
Abit off topic but how do you find the cacti go in tents compared to outdoors? I have a San Pedro which is outside but just started trialling my Bolivian Torchwood under my 315watt CMH, the SP has only grown about 25cm in the 2 years I’ve had it whereas the BT seems to thrive in the tent but have only had it for 3 weeks so can’t tell yet if it’s better for it.
@ZalySk, they are all looking amazing, I have never consumed mine either and couldn’t bring myself too anymore as they’re all part of the family now haha.
@Tri_Op, I live in Canada. Never grown cacti outdoors. They seem to like the 1000w though. Never consumed them however, just like them as plants.
And ive started these all from seed about 5 years ago.
