Start of week 2, I have not fed her again as the medium has not dried out from the week 1 feeding. Hopefully she's adjusted by now and will start to grow this week.
Do-si-dos week 4 here we go! Nutes increased to full strength, with this week's feed. I hope to see a jump in growth from this girl, this week, now that she's getting more food.
Start of week 5, this girl looks healthy but she did not jump in size like I was hoping for over the last week. Hopefully she stretches out some this week.
Start of week 6. I'm a bit disappointed, this girl has not stretched as much as I was expecting, through week 5. Hopefully by the end of this week, she will have grown up some.
April 6 - first week of feeding bloom nutrients. The Do-si-dos only stretchedan inch over the last week as she settled into the 12/12 light cycle. Hopefully she'll stretch another 4-6 inches this week, now that she's had her first bloom feeding.
April 13 - week 2 of flowering. Added Big Bud and sensi cal-mag to this week's feeding, however feeding volume was cut from 6L to 3L, the medium was not completely dry.
Start of week 3 of flowering. Bud site development over the last week was impressive! The Do-si-dos is starting to smell and is already sticky to the touch. Hopefully this girl will stretch a bit more this week.
Start of week 4. This girl stretched an inch during week 3 and her bud sites continued to pack on size and take shape. She is very sticky to the touch and densely packed. I did some defoliation, so more light gets to the inner and lower nodes and buds.
Start of week 5. Week 4 went well, bud site development is going great, she's gaining size and weight. She's growing very densely, I've trimmed many inner leaves and small branches, she's the stickiest of all 4 plants I'm currently growing and her smell is strong and dank!
Start of week 6. Week 5 went really well, this Do-si-dos is packing on bud weight, size, density and she is insanely sticky! Just lightly touching her, is like touching sticky pads or glue, just crazy!!
Start of week 7! Repeating the week 6 feed schedule as the Do-si-dos is on a 9 week flowering time frame, based on the info from Canuk. This girl is sticky, buds continue to get fatter and denser and she has a sweet aroma to her!
Start of week 8. Week 7 went very well for the Do-si-dos, she also filled in her buds, very dense and lovely smell! She's got crazy trichomes and is almost as sticky as the Glueberry OG.
Week 9 begins! Week 8 went really well. This girl is full of red hairs and she's about 90% clear trichomes, 10% cloudy. Last week of feeding before flushing.
Let the flushing begin! Super pumped to finally be at the end of this first grow of this strain. 4 liters water for the flush. The last week she put on a little bit of size, but probably more density in the buds as well as terpenes and smell was gained.
Harvest time for the Do-si-dos lady. She's got huge dense buds, amazing smell and she's sticky. Growing her was a dream and I can't wait for the dry weight and smoke test.
Update June 23 - buds are dry enough to weigh and bottle for curing. Dry weight came in at 59 grams. First smoke was amazingly smooth, but very mild flavor and taste.
Harvest time! Chopped and wet trim, now she's drying in the rack. A real pleasure to grow, I am super excited to smoke this lady in 2 weeks! Thank you everyone for checking out my grow.
Update June 23, the buds dries quickly, temps are warmer here so drying was quick. 59 grams on the scale, I'm happy with this amount and with the bud quality, size, smell and smooth taste/flavor when smoked. It was so smooth, I had to smoke 2 joints back to back, in order to get a good taste and smell profile. And munchies!! Whoa man does she make me hungry!
@Huggomadd, thanks! She sure does look happy, frosty and tasty! While I'm pumped to try all of these new strains I've grown, this girl is the one I'm most excited to smoke.
@1stmanny, no real tricks, it's mostly plant genetics, enhanced by the nutrients. Be patient lol, you'll start to see sugar snow crystals in 2-3 weeks. 😎
@CanadianFillmore, is there a trick to getting them nice and frosty, my girls are budding up now !! but I see no frost😩or is that in the genetic ?? your are covered in snow an sugar, mine and cover with white hair,
