02.18.20 - Planted germinated plants into 3-gallon pots using Build a Soil 3.0 / top-dressed with white clover & 50/50 blend of Mother Eart COCO Coir and Worm Castings to make sure the soil was not too hot for the seedlings - hoping the white clover will help create natural foliage to keep the moisture in the plants using 1ML Kelp Extract with Water to keep the surface moist.
02.19.20 - 2 of the 3 ladies have broke ground - I am excited to see this happening so fast - keep you posted!
02.21.20 - So 4 days into the grow the little ladies are about an inch tall - the Build a Soil 3.0 and Rootwise Mycrobe Complete (Inoculant) is working great, I was afraid it would be too hot, one of the ladies is a bit brown but I am sure she will put on some green real soon, you can see the white clover starting to sprout, I have some additional items coming from Build a Soil, their Recycle-Si (silica), BaS Craft Blend Nutrient Pack for rebuilding the soil or to use as a dry amendment, their Yucca Extract (Wetting Agent) and the BaS Rootwise Bio-Catalyst Elixir (Pure Living Microbes) - stay posted on this grow and please gove the feedback!
02.26.20 - Day 9 the plants are doing well, so far just using de-chlorinated water, kelp extract, and molasses / the white clover is growing around the plants nicely, they should help increase the nitrogen levels in the soil naturally, which will help push the growth during veg - still waiting on the "Rootwise Bio-Catalyst Enzyme Elixer " then I will hit the soil with Rootwise Microbe Complete, Rootwise Bio-Catalyst enzyme Elixir, and Yucca Extract, for the second microbe inoculation. The soil is still a little young but over the next few weeks should really hit its peak!
03.02.20 Day 15 So today I did a second soil inoculation, still have not received the RW Elixir but felt I could not wait, when it comes from Build a Soil I will work it into the watering rotation, I am very happy with this grow, the soil and plants are doing very well, the white clover is growing fast, soon I will trim it up and let it become compost - I plan to FIM and LST and when they are ready for a ScrOG add that, nice mellow grow,
03.05.20 Day 20 / Today I trimmed down the Clover and topped plant #1 and #3 Plant #2 is doing ok but still a bit behind the other two.
03.22.20 / Day 35 - sorry for the late update - last day of the week for these girls - they are responding well - the Build A Soil 3.0 is doing well, the white clover keeps the moisture in the pot much better than leaving it open and allowing the airflow to dry out the soil - I topped plant #1 and #2 at the beginning of Week 4 about 11 days ago, the plants have recovered nicely and are getting very branchy, Plant #3 is the runt but getting larger, and responding very well to the LST.
I gave the girls another Root Wise inoculation / other than that just PH water at 6.2
03.28.20 / Day 41 with week 6 closing the girls are right on track, the stretch in this first full week of the flower is awesome, today before a watering I picked a few leaves blocking light and moved a few buds around, great flower in the canopy, I was able to start using Biobiz this week and hoping to see a difference in the outcome..
03.25.20 / Day 38 Tonight I pulled the training wires off these shorties, at 5 inches they are sexy little bushes, going to be starting them on a BioBiz watering schedule.
03.24.20 / Day 37 Well I was pleasantly surprised to see these plants flowering on time and together, another grow the 4 plants will need to be harvested at different times. Will let them Stretch then decide where to clean up the lower areas and if I need to SCROG them- all in all, they are looking perfect :)
04.04.20 - Day 47 closing in on the end of week 7, the ladies are doing well, short tight bushes, almost done stretching, and buds are starting to pack on weight, the Bio-Biz is working very well!
03.30.20 - Day 42 and start of the week 7 these girls are right on track, the stretch is in full swing, but these girls are destined to be short and bushy, using Bio-Biz now and they seem to be reacting well to it!
Tuesday - 04.28.20 Day 70 this auto have ripened so much faster then I projected, a look at their Trichomes today were surprising, to say the least, I will be harvesting Friday
Wednesday - 04.22.20 I started this grow on 02.18.20 / somehow I fouled up the day count today is actually Day 64 :)~ The girls are looking great never stretched much but the buds look great, could be the 3-gallon pots, they still have 2 to 3 weeks to pack on bud density and I am sure they will, yesterday I had to move the stems around and tie them back, as the buds were sticking everything together with the added airflow and light penetration should do wonders.
Thursday 05.07.20 so week 11 day 2 (79 days) Harvested the plants today I put 20.5 ounces from 3 plants in the dry room, Gelato is very sticky and just covered with Trichomes, my friends and family are just in love with this strain, I am going to pop my last 5 Gelato Seeds and get them going, I think with a few things I picked up while ding these runs, I can get around 3 ounces per plant - we will see. Stay Posted for a Gelato #3 from Mr. Jones :)
So these ladies grew very slow, at the beginning of the grow, I had to switch up things a bit and finally started using BioBiz, I think it salvaged things nicely, I believe with better training and BioBiz at the start would have made a big difference. With that said here are a few details.
• 3 Plants
• 20.5 ounces of harvested buds
• 5.5 Ounces of Bud removed from Dry Tent, about 26.8% before trim
• 3.75 Ounces after Trim
• 15 Grams of trim and soft buds for my wife’s cooking projects
I think the buds look pretty good but will need some curing time, everyone loves this strain, so I know I will grow it again.
Hey there,
Thanks so much for running a diary of our Gelato Auto 🙌
Let us know if you need any assistance, we’re more than happy to help.
Happy Growing !!! 🌱☘️🌴🍀🌿🌳
@TegridyCal, thanks for following me, I am going to check out your grow, so far they are doing well - 2 plants in COCO are taking LST very well, the 3 plants in the organic BaS medium are doing very well.
My Soil and Feeding Plan
• Trying a 3 Gallon Pots (First Time)
• Using Build a Soil 3.0
• Rootwise Microbe Complete
• Rootwise Bio-Catalyst enzyme Elixir
• Yucca Extract – Therm X- 70 (Wetting Agent)
• BuildASoil Craft Blend - Nutrient Pack / Applied as a tea or top-dressed
• Using water that has had the chlorine & chloramine removed using an inline hose filter, water tests great.
Pretty much just watering and an occasional tea and maybe a top dressing during the plant cycle, support at BuildASoil feels the biology in the soil should carry an auto flower grow (We will see)

@RussianGrower, Thanks so much for the like and the shout out, will be starting to flush in about 10 days, smaller plants but I agree they look good :)
Yea they look nice after topping! They’re good and healthy so that’s good! When I do my topping I do it on or very close to day 14. It makes for a quick turnaround! Good luck my friend I’ll be checking on these fine ladies lol 💯🌱🤜🤛
