Transplanted all the plants into the new pales from solo cups and moved them under the 1000 watt MH. Topped them on February 22nd except for the Dos Si Dos 33, it seems to be the runt.
Half way through the week I topped all the plants for a second time, except the Dos si dos. Also did some LST so the second set of branches get more light and even out with the top branches.
This week I overwatered and the plants. The Dos Si Dos took it the worst. Also changed back to my wing reflector to bring temps back up in the tent. Now sitting around 29 and the plants are loving it. Reaching for the light and helping that over water problem. The lower branches are really catching up to the top arms now and making a nice even canopy on the vanilla kush. Hoping to veg for a couple more weeks before defoliation and flip.
The plants have really put on some size. All the vanilla kush have thick stems and big leafs. As for the strawberry eclair it’s still the tallest and drinks the most, I had to top it again just to let the other plants catch up. The dos si dos is just now starting to recover from the overwatering, it hasn’t been topped or anything. All plants handle the nutrients very well.
Not sure when to post these weeks, have been doing them at the end. So this will be the end of week 7 for these girls. They have all really started to bush out now except for the dos si dos which seems to still be affected by the overwatering weeks ago. Not sure what to do with it, let it dry out but didn’t seem to help. Will be flipping to 12/12 later today before the light turns back on.
Only 2 days into week 8 and the first week of flower. Did some defoliation last night when the light turned on in hopes to drive new growth development towards the top. Will be updating again before the weeks over.
End of the first week into flower, all the plants have started the stretch. The Vanilla kush still are very compact indica plants, lots of internodes for buds. As for the Strawberry Eclair it must be more sativa, really growing and spaced out a bit more. Last but not least the Dos Si Dos is recovering nicely from overwatering and second transplant to try and help with that. Also gave all the plants a homemade compost tea to try and help introduce new microbes. Hoping they help Dos Si Dos with its roots issue.
This is still the beginning of the week. Will update again at the end. So far thinks are going great!
Almost the end of the week, have updated some new pictures. Vanilla kush has seem to slow down on the stretch. They have very very bushy. Excited to see how much they yield. Strawberry Eclair on the other hand is still growing, well over 4 feet now.
This week was good except for the fan issue. While replacing a fan it fell directly onto my biggest girl (StrawberryEclair). Luckily it hasn’t had any reduced growth or dying leaves. I taped it up quick and gave it some support, by the next day it actually grew! She has a ton of crystal starting on her already, as for the vanilla kush have bigger buds formed but still lacking crystal. This week I added in Grotek bloom enhancer, they seem to almost double overnight from it. Overall very good week for growth! Oh and I forgot about Dos Si Dos, she’s fully recovered and has deep dark green leaves, hoping she transitions into a nice purple.
This week I went a little heavy on the nutrients for two of my vanilla kush, pushed 800ppm and was definitely to much! They went a tad yellow but after some straight water everything came back around. The Dos si dos doesn’t seem to want to drink much and is just holding the water in the dirt. Strawberry Eclair on the other hand is a monster and drinks every 3-4 days and can handle all the nutrients. She is also 5 feet tall lol where my vanilla stopped stretching around 40 inches.
This weeks been a rough one... found out my Strawberry eclair has gone hermie and produced seeds and little bananas. I believe a few have opened and pollinated my other plants. I’m not seeing any seeds it other plants but I’m sure they will appear since I have 3-4 weeks left. The strawberry eclair for sure has seeds developing though. It’s so damn frustrating to put in this time and effort to have one plant ruin it all. The plan is to continue forward and possibly save the seeds if any come out of the vanilla kush (I believe will be a cross between that and strawberry).
Still not the end of the week just had some
Nice photos I wanted to toss up. My one vanilla kush is showing signs of calcium deficiency. Not sure why, I give it lots and has some in the tap water. I’m wondering if I’m giving it to much bloom activator compared to calmax. I read that to much can cause the rust spots? Either way this week has been slow moving. Started flushing that’s vanilla kush but all the other plants will get longer to grow since they aren’t as close to finish.
All plants got a flush this week. Going to be giving straight water for 2 more weeks then harvesting depending on the trichomes. One vanilla kush plant came down exactly on the end of the 8th week, it got 1 flush and 1 water before. It seemed to be ahead of the rest and was showing signs to come down. It’s wet weight is 565 grams, will update when it’s dry.
Vanilla kush has finally all come down! The first plant went from 565grams wet to 128 grams dry. The second vanilla kush got 409g wet so far(still drying) and the third got 552g (still dryin). I will update with a dry totally weight of the 3 plants later. So far I’m finding a few seeds in them from the strawberry eclair but I would think this would be a nice cross. I’m keeping the seeds and going to try and sex them and get a mother plant.
The strawberry eclair is finishing off nicely with lots of colours coming through, I’m super sad this thing decided to hermie on me. I hope the seeds are worth it.
Great plant to grow, has 3 different pheneos come out. One has a lot of purple and bigger buds that were leafy. Second one had small tight buds and third seemed to have the least amount of leaf and the most amount of bud. Unfortunately it had a bad feeding near the end and the leafs went a bit funny. Overall handles the nutrients well. Will update again when the weed is dry with a grand total.
Update: made some Rosin with a press, from 1 ounce of vanilla kush I yielded 6.3grams of rosin
This strain was an absolute beauty to grow! Unfortunately a fan dropped on a main arm during flower and I had to tape it up, I believe this caused the plant to hermie on me. I noticed pollen sacks later into flower around week 6 or 7. It pollinated itself and some other surround plants. Hoping the seeds turn out decent enough to use. The plant was a heavy feeder and stretched quite a bit in flower. Once the bud is dry I will update the weight and flavour.
