Okayy, time to get back to growing, this time with NFT! My second run ever with nft, so learning as the grow goes. GHE nutes, simple 1/2 ratio + CalMag in the future, might even toss some Mammoth P in there. Plants stay pretty much to the left side in the tent so I have to start training pretty early. I have never run these strains before so its going to be fun to see what those are like.

Come along as I try to make it to the finish line! Cheers everyone 👌
Three of the plants are starting to feel good in the system, one plant still holding back the growth spurt. Dialed down the EC with plain tap water, just to see if the last one of the four would dig its roots to the rootmat. Time for first res dump this week.
2.3 | I topped the biggest plant so slow down the growth.
Master kushes are still not feeling the nft, Night queens really starting to burst! I topped the other NQ also, next its time to take cuts to another nft system.
Both Master Kushes seem to take their time to root into the system. Lowered ec to help the little kushes catch up. Ive been cutting clones out of Night Queen since its growing to be so big. Also snapped some stems to keep the upwards growth in control.
Its been a real struggle with these tents, two plants becoming a massive bush and the other two staying small. Now im at that point where I just see a massive sea of green when I open up the tent and im starting to slowly feel better about the tent. I couldnt figure out what I was doing wrong with EC & PH since I got some growing tips burning with even the lowest EC. Desided to flush the whole system, one thing I havent been doing frequently enough and it restored the proper growing speed for plants. Trellis is pretty nicely filled so moving into flowering, finally!
Starting the flowering cycle with a pretty low ec, starting to up the nutrients as plants start to stretch. I noticed my monkey fan is blocking some light from the plants and placed that in the other corner of the tent. Trying to fill the empty spot on the right with the plants stretch cycle.
29.3 | My PH meter broke down, going to be using a drop tester for a couple days before new ones arrive. Ordered a couple just to have one unused as a spare for future. Also bought Bluelab Truncheon meter from my grow shop, EC being at 0.70 with 0.18 base.
Plants are starting to flower, also noticing that EC is dropping fast in the res. Still waiting for my replacement PH meters to arrive, im going to reset the res when I get the needed equipment. My Secret Jardin Monkey Fan almost caught fire last night, oscillating motor died and the fan engine was heating up fast. Glad I took a peek into the tent before going to bed... Placed a tower fan on top of the res hatch, need to look for some durable fans to replace the broken Monkey fans. Noticed that the plants look a little pale and upped the EC a bit.
6.4 Plant recovered from bottom defoliation very fast, noticed very light color bleaching on some of the top leaves and added CalMag to correct that. Plants are starting to accept really nice flowering EC's, happy about that. Far red iniator doing its work, 10 minutes on after my flowering lights go out.
Had to raise my lights to the max height, im trying to pull this off with just one trellis on the bottom. Plants are starting to dig the enviroment, tho I have to keep cleaning the bottoms since its really hard to evaluate to how much these plants will stretch still. Hopefully not much, or I have to start figuring out my tent ventilation layout again!
Day 20 | Plants are starting to finish their stretch period, cleaned up some shading fan leaves off the plants. Should look about the same in couple days from my experience.
Day 21 | Plants are recovering from defoliating very well, new hairs are bursting out, always a pleasant sight!
16.4 | Starting flowering week four, lights are lifted to almost the max position to get some clearance between the panel and the canopy. One plant is showing signs of calsium deficiency so bumped up my CalMag Agent just a bit. Plants recovered from defoliation really well, really happy that I did it, air is moving effectively thru the tent and light penetrates deep into the canopy!
18.4 | EC had risen to 1.6, filled res with plain water to dilute it back down to 1.2. Performing reservoir clean up tomorrow.
22.4 | Just cleaned up the res, 1.5 EC starting this week. Time flies so fast, smell inside the tent is super strong at the moment, just a blast to the face!
23.4 | EC hasnt changed from that 1.5, seems like swapping the res did its thing.
24.4 | Res was almost empty so filled with light nutrient feed, res now at 1.2
26.4 | Res started to raise in EC so gave just plain water, EC now back to 1.2
28.4 | Res is holding still at 1.2 EC so letting it be at that. Nugs are filling nicely!
30.4 | Starting to lower the reservoir EC since plants no longer like the 1.2 that I have been giving em. Gave just water with additives when I filled the res back full. Im going to start taking off some shading leaves at day 42, tent has really filled up with new leaves after that defoliation at ~day 21. Starting the week with 0.9 EC. Smell is amazing when you open up the tent, really pungent sweet taste coming out, I LOVE IT!
3.5 | Ec had risen to 1.2 EC, added water to compensate. Now at solid 0.9 EC, still some time to go but each time the nugs are just bigger and bigger. Looks like im going to be having a nice harvest, Master Kushes seem to be way faster than my Night Queens.
5.5 | Res topped again, EC now at 0.8, PH 5.5. F42, but not really sure about defoliating at this point. Fan leaves seem to fade on their own due the low EC in the res, I think im gonna just gradually lower the EC as the last weeks begin and work my way forwards a beautiful fade (hopefully).
7.5 | Res filled once again, going with 0.9 EC. Added just plain water with CalMag last time, plants are starting to fade into lime green color, just not trying to fade girls too fast ;)
9.5 | Res filled with Boost, Zym, Mammoth P and CalMag and just water. EC is at 0.9, Night Queen has some really chunked nugs on top, Master kush starts to look almost ready.
11.5 | Checked the plants before going to bed, found one main nug with something fuzzy attached to one side nug, did precaution cut to that main nug just in case it had something fishy going on. Gonna dry it out separately from the grow room and see whats up, probably just me being over cautious. Checked other main nugs also, couldn't see anything that would indicate a botrytis problem. RH is 40-50 during lights on, only 5% higher right after lights out. Keeping a close eye on the plants for this last week, dont wanna fuck up this late when everything is going great. Canopy temps have been rising since the outside temperature is rising.
13.5 | Nothing much going on, giving just water with enzymes from now on. Filled the res today once again, EC shows up at 0.8 with the 0.2 base. Going to let the res sink for 3 days before I take out Torus PH and clean with Liquid Oxygen and continue without nutes as base from there on. I checked some trichomes today and most were cloudy, none ambers yet.
16.5 | Plants are fading super fast into yellow, removed Torus from the system and lowered EC to 0.6 EC. Later this week ill continue to lower the EC until its just water, boost, zym and Mammoth left.
17.5 | Added H2O2 once into the res once again. Bang and roots and pure white. Removed some leaves without nutrients hanging inside the tent dead. EC stayed solid 0.6
18.5 | Lowered the light wattage to 250w total, so 125w each panel until the end of this grow. Hoping this slows down the leaf necrosis just a little bit.
20.5 | Day 57 Swapped the res into just pure water and H202. Adding additives tomorrow.
21.5 | Day 58 Fixed PH back to range, now at 5.9. EC 0.2 which is my base EC.
22.5 | Day 59 Could chop any day now, there is almost nothing left in the canopy level leaves at the moment.
24.5 | Day 61 Chopped the plants, cleaned up the big fan leaves and emptied the res. Harvesting took 5 hours. Drying conditions are not ideal, its like 45% RH & 25C in my room.. Keeping my eye on the drying nugs.
Very sedative strain, tried this straight out of bed it just ended my day right there 😄 Would suggest it as a night time smoke, this really slows you down and you wont get much done without real persistence. Spicy, herbal smoke taste with calming sedative effects. Pretty basic kush taste.
Master kush had small share in the overall yield of this grow. I could see it straight from the start of flower, stems were weak and the root mass just wasnt anything compared to the Night Queen beasts. I dont mind the small yield, had a chance to taste the strain and desided to not grow it again, its too familiar to all the weed going around at the moment and it didn't spark any special effects in my brain. Good overall strain, very fast flowering so if thats what you want, go fo it.
Really skunky smelling buds, whole apartment smells when this has been smoked. Really nice yielding & good smelling plant, no problem rooting and it was super easy to feed this plant. High is strong, some part messes up with your brain and the rest just slows you down. Very good for chill summer park sessions / chill outs at home, either way.
Both Night Queen plants yielded great, I dont have much experience with NFT systems and still managed to get a nice yield out of this is nice. I would recommend Night Queen to friends and many of my pals have liked it. Behaves well with Scrogging. Found out that if everything checks in the tent, dont try to constantly mix things up. I should start with lower EC in veg & early flower, like 0.7 in veg and 0.9 in early flower. Anyways, good round! 👽
That's a big ol Bush you got there. Other ladies looking nice as well. Fantastic work my friend. Keep it up and may the ganja garden gods bless you along the way with this grow and all future endeavors as well
@Denzul, Thanks for stopping by and posting a comment! Trying my best here, hopefully the next two months will be brighter than this one! Chill vibes your way my man, keep it lit 👽👌
Loving the grow and its inspiring me to set my own up for the first time. I'm setting up my first 2x4 grow tent in the coming weeks. Im worried about temperature control in the tent how do you deal with that?. Also, do you mind sharing your tips for ventilation? Specifically where do you run you vent out to. Is it dangerous to vent the air from the tent into an apartment room? Does it need to go outside the apartment the be safe? Thanks again
@kaneownz, bought it from Cultureindoor https://www.cultureindoor.eu/4445-superbox-v2-125x62x180.html I really like this tent size myself, its just perfect in all ways!
@@WeedbayGardens, thanks for the advice! very helpful as most of my materials just arrived and I begin to build my first grow. Do you mind sharing where you got that tent? I really like thos dimensions but Im in the US and not sure if I can get my hands on that brand
@kaneownz, I recommend growing your own weed for everyone, its also a great stress relief, taking your time gardening and making sure everything checks out and finally accomplishing some harvest after the months of caretaking.
I personally use 550m3h exhaust fan with 650m3h carbon filter. Passive intake from that side of the tent where you DON'T have your exhaust setup. So usually left bottom corner in, right top corner out. Carbon filter inside the tent, exhaust fan on top of the tent. Ill post you pictures into the first week, take a look how I have it set up!
Its safe to exhaust into apartment room, never connect anything to your apartments own ventilation system as it might fuck up the whole system with different pressure etc. During summertime I usually keep a window open / setup air conditioning unit to cool the air. Plants like pretty high temperatures under LED lights especially during flowering, I usually aim for 27-28C canopy leaf temperature. Make sure that your exhaust is big enough for the tent and take notice that its going to be even hotter during summer and you might need some extra air moving power!
