Started seedling by soaking for 24hrs then placed into rockwool. Next day sprouted round leaves. 2 days later added it's true leaves. Had under an LED with heat mat while main room finished flowering. Day 7 put under 600wt hps.
Sisters strains in other cubes started showing signs of roots so placed her in the DWC setup as planing to mother her for spring before switching to flowering.
This strain hasn't shown any tap roots showing out bottom yet dispite have sprayed bottom of cube, bubbles are focused under her. To stimulate root
decided to put a heat mat under the reservoir to cause some humidity in the tub.
As for growth herself; Shes doing well, starting 4th set of leaves. Her true leaves so not too concerned over not seeing any roots.
My DWC Setup
-12 gal shallow rubbermaid tub
-2 x 4" baskets
-2 x 4 " rockwool cubes
- 4 outlet top fin air pump
- standard aquarium air tubing
- 2 x 6" air stones
- extra 1" air stone.
Trimmed the round leafs and single off to try to stimulate some growth.
She's healthy just hasn't done much over the wk.
Positive she's finally showing some roots out the bottom. Once they hit the nutrient probably will start taking off.
She's finally taking off roots hit the solution. Solution temp was a little higher than I liked so added frozen water bottle; swap it out every day. Staying cool now. Might have an issue with this method later on as roots start matting and space is restricted.
Swapped the substrate with fresh tap water and DNF 15ml/gal as the base, then added a nail, piece of copper and couple drops of cal-pro for trace.
Can see her branches showing so will probably top her in couple days.
Topped her 6 days ago. Have 2 main branches and a bunch of side branches for future clones.
Had a PH influx in the high 8s , effected her hard caused her to turn bright green. Dropped the PH to 6.5-7. seemed to fix problem as colors coming back now.
Was battling a high PH Flux from prior wks but managed to get it under control. Happy now with the darker leaves. Cut 5 clones off her earlier in the wk.
Will top her again next week.
Cut a couple more clones this wk. After 7 wks I have to say this is a more difficult strain to grow. Might have just been this seed but seems to aquire more attention and low results. When comparing her to sister (3 blue kings) growing in the same DWC tub she is lacking big time. Nothing special this wk from the normal regime other than gave a dose of terpenator.
Pinched all the tops one last time before switching to flower next week. (Week 11) . Nuits are same been sucking up almost a gal/day between both sisters in the DWC.
Huge leaf growth but not so much energy being used for plant growth. Just the way the strain grows.
Added Humates to the DWC. Defloration the bottom leaves and 1st node stages. Anywhere else that needed light exposure.
LST her to grow out the side branches.
Planned on flipping to flower this week but going to push few more days let tops and branches grow out bit more.
Its not your eyes shes smaller. So I made mistake of asking the GF for help with draining the dwc. 2 snapped off branches later. (Smacks forhead).. ... oh well nothing can do after the fact so dipped in rooting compound and threw into the outdoor pot. Hopefully will root and won't be a total loss.
Anyways back to this week. Started dropping the light by 1hr per day and now is on 12/12. I swapped to the HPS bulb. Retightened the LST and trimmed the shades.
Started her on her Bloom nuits diet. Light dose this week then will start running her hot again.
Started increasing the nuits. Pump failed this week. Didn't get effected that much, few leaves discolored. Pump has been fixed and new root growth showing again.
Amazing tricomes. Buds barely even started yet already exploding her crystals.
Did a flush and started feeding bud candy. Added a 100l/h sub pump to help circulate the solution and add o2. Air stones have been swallowed by the roots.
Trying something new with the lighting.
Running 1200w LED from
6am - 9am then off and HID 600w kicks in from 9am - 3 pm. At 3pm LED kicks back in for the last 3hrs; 3pm-6pm. Notice bit of nutrient burn from the LEDs. Still not sure if it's an improvement or downside, but cant succeed if you dont try.
Good stretch this week. Sugar breath tricomes are insane. Never seen that much on a plant this early in the game. Pics dont do it justice. If continues will end up with white buds.
Started her Nirvana regiment. Will continue to dose her for next 6 weeks.
Hit her with the UV-B light 4 days ago and could see tricome production within 2hrs of application. Sisters got extra dose yesterday but noticed tips of the hairs burnt so thinking only once a week. Will keep experimenting with the UV-B to perfect it.
Been growing for a while but can't ever remember the tricomes and whites showing this much week 3/4.. preflower hasn't even finished. Anyone else have a diary to relate?
Pulled the shades off but left the top few. Love the tricomes on this girl. Every day gets stickier.
Gave her advanced nuits 3 part ( grow, micro, bloom) .. seems to be liking it. Going to see what happens this week if can get another 3-6 inches and will probably start back budding.
She's just been building buds all week. Light cycle has changed over to 12 hrs LED. Started her on overdrive. Love the trichomes on this girl. Smells of desiel and earth tones have almost all disappeared. Can finger bang this girl with out her leaving a sticky film on your fingers.
Continuing with the 1/2-1hr per week of UV-B. Has about 4 weeks left. Might do her flushing outdoor so can start my Gas Mask on hydro. Wait to see what weather is like in 2 weeks. Hasn't been living up to the summer weather yet.
She really don't seem like she's building all that much weight. Could be the strain as I haven't changed anything with her. See what happens as still has 3 weeks. She is starting to smell like a hooker on a sail ship.
She's not as big as other plants but think she's going to make the best smoke.
Starting to flush her with fresh water. Not sure what happened if it's a strain thing but over night all hairs turned and looks like been dried out. Purples are starting to show. Put her outside to bask in the ⛅ sunlight.
Harvest day. I'll cut her down and give her a quick trim of the shade's. See what weight get from her.
Trichomes are nice n sugary.. see where she gets her name.
Heatwave has effected her smell but hopefully will get some of it back curing.

Harvest brought forth 1/4 lb of wet buds. Alot was just fluff on the bottom so was mostly stick weight.
Buds are sticky shows trichomes, sents of earth and coffee. Flavors are a chocolate/carmel.
