UK Cheese Auto. Got 2 of these as my freebies for my last seed order. Decide to breed them as needed to replenish my auto stock.
Both seeds sprouted but took almost 3 days as well as the seeds floated in the water which normally is a bad sign.
Planted in rock wool medium suspended in a basket.
On 1 of the seeds, the root spider-ed and looking like she's pooched. Other had no issues and took off fine.
Future is looking like will need to make a clone if wanting to breed this strain.
As this is my breeder auto wanted to have her in a container that will be able to move around to different locations easy.
Used a coffee can with a 1" air stone in the bottom. Nutrient Solution is 5ml of each 2 part DNF grow and couple drops of pro cal.
Has a bit of retardation going. Leaves seem to be growing on different branches. IE: have the single leaflets on 2 branches. One above each other. Hopefully she will work herself out of the crazy growth.
Topped her 6 days ago. Know a lot of ppl say not too but found in past won't make a difference as long as do it before goes into bud.
Recovered from topping and She's starting to stretch out. It looks like will get 3 tops from her. Pulled her away from the light to get her to chase it. Expect couple nodes to show this wk or next.
Gained almost a ft in her stretch, has few more days to go. Topped one of the larger branches for a clone. It's doing well no stress, however don't think the side branch will recover for a top.
The top and branch I cut and stuck in rock wool looking like it may root. Really didn't expect that. Be nice to do the breeder all in one pot. Fingers crossed. .
If clones roots will spray it with silver.
She started showing nodes last week, but can see the preflowers now. Her stretch has been slowing down.
The information on the strain says 2-3 ft and 1-2 OZ yields. Expectations look about right, hopefully fills out nicely. Started dousing her with terpinator and DNF Bloom. Trimmed the lower shades off.
Think I have to give up on breeding her as the other seed never took and the clones from this one don't look like will grow large enough to produce any viable pollen.
Second week of flower. Preflowers are developing nicely. Looking like Im in expected harvest estimates 30-60 gm.
Tied tops down, give some stress training and development lower flowers.
Ill give her a dose of monster bud this wk, see if can't get the weight on higher end.
Got a bit of bud growth but still looking short. Can notice smells coming from her now. Tricomes are not exploding like expected but still has some time.
Smells are starting to flow with her. It's spring here so letting her finish in the window make more room in the closet for the female regulars.
Hairs are starting to turn amber, should double up next week or two.
Started my flush with water and molasses, and a touch of kelp at the start of the week. Will be harvesting her mid next week. Watch for updates on weights. She's not suppose to be a large yeilder. Quotes 1-2 Oz. She looks at the low end but expected from a 2L pot.
Great flavors, smell profiles but has a low yield and an auto. Both which are not a reason not to try this strain. Would definitely grow again. Love the cheese flavor.
This was very easy to grow, didn't require a lot of attention. Cheese profile is bang on. Only downfalls are low yield and it was an auto. Both of course not a reason not to try this strain.
Like holy dude... This.. This one right here.. Is where I knew something was wrong with your garden... The a hid.. yielding this... According to your diary you used 720 watts.. Like how can you not see something here?
@BudXs, This one was a freebie thought try it for smoke. Picked C.K. to run this cycle and not only did get 95% fail rate on germ but a 70 day is going on 16 weeks. Threw everything out of wack on me. Tried to recover but didnt get yield should have. Won't use crop king again for autos.
@Fusion,YES!!! Me too! I grow autos in march while i veg mothers for clones for my rooms. Timing usually works that my autos are finished after clones have rooted, vegged and flipped. Autos took longer thia year, finishing under 12/12, but with 1920 real watts, no big deal, dense ass nugs
@DeadwebsiteBoringcommunity, yeah true. If watch my grows I don't put much effort in auto's. Agreed some windows are like greenhouses and get good results in winter but Im on 6th floor, and only got morning sun. If your in Canada know there isn't much sun during feb-apr. . For a winter window grow at this location, did ok. Got its quoted yeild.
Hey! We want to follow up with your review on our lighting. Would love to chat about your experience and see how we can help improve. Our 120w board is a great little light and many growers have great success with it. It is quite different from our other lighting. We do not see a DM option on this site so if you could contact us a info@budgetgrowlights.com we would like to see how we can improve your experience.
Thank you!
Budget LED
@Budget_LED, hello I will DM you , the arrow in right bottom corner is your msgs.
It's not that I am disappointed in your product it's that I'm old school and always comparing LEDs to HIDs.
As a light itself yes probably works fine but comparing to my HID it's not equal or better results.
Fact still remains I need a huge LED system ; huge pockets to get what I can with my HID. Only downside is heat and spectrum. Spectrum can use UV-B doses and heat with a cool tube.
If anything needs improvement it's costing and getting the lights to perform like HIDs. LEDs have come along way but still need to get that worked out.
