Put this girl in the flower tent on feb 4th, 10 days later and it was done with the stretch and onto flowering. A valentines girl for sure, the nyc diesel x og kush from spanish seeds is one of my favorites. Stays a bit shorter than some of my others, but is a solid performer. Have her in a 7 gallon fabric pot with fox farm strawberry fields potting soil. I usually use ocean forest, but they were out so I'm giving this kind a try. See if there's any difference I guess. I'll keep you updated.
Looking good, really starting to bush out. Once this skunk is done later this week, I will just turn it a quarter turn and let it have 2 spaces to finish flowering, she can take all the space she wants.
Day 19- I kinda forgot I had tied one of her main stems to a support pole. I snipped that to let her spread out more evenly, she's gonna need that space from the skunk next to her asap its looking like. Just waiting on a few more amber in her and then this diesel kush can have all the space her bush arms are pleading for
Day 22- cut the skunk down yesterday and let the 2 ladies still in the tent stretch out and fill it up. This one took up most of that new room. I had to give her a pole down the middle and tie her two main branches up. I dont do any sort of main lining or training. I do however take my clones in a specific way which more often than not gives me these U shaped trunks. Or two main colas without having to mess with her at all. I also added another whiter colored light to the tent, it was just laying around, so why not? See if it all helps her become the huge fatty she definitely wants to become.
Day 30- she seems to be responding well to the new ways she's tied. Lots of tops with another 8ish weeks to go. Already has lost her diesel smell when the tent is opened. Much more of a lemony citrus scent. If you brush or bump her though, the gassy diesel smell really comes out. Sticks on you literally. I have to use rubbing alcohol to get her off my arms, just soap and water wont cut it anymore. She's a good girl, see what I get outta her.
Things are getting pretty crazy and scary out in the real world now days.....its nice to have a little sanctuary to be able to escape to in troubling times as these. I wish we all would have such luxuries as this. From my garden to yours, we wish you all the best. Be healthy, be happy and live hard.
Today is the start of week 6, day 42, and shes looking really pretty. I didnt actually feed her today, though she did get watered. I took clones out of my clone machine and I like to use the water from that as it's awesome for roots. And we all know, the bigger the roots, the bigger the buds. She will be fed in a couple days though, shes getting thirsty now that she has some bigger buds going. Some are starting to put on some visible weight. And she still has a good 3 or 4 weeks left to go!
Day 47- put on some good weight over the week, has started to swell....hopefully it's not cause shes full of seeds from that hermie cindy 99 that was in here with her. Or if she is, then I'll have a bunch of new seed stock to play with
Start of week 7! Still a couple weeks to go at least. Looks like it's probably going into its second flower stage from the diesel parent. Lots of fresh white hairs the last couple days, and the older calyxes have stopped fattening up for the moment. Time for that extra weight to really start packing on, love sativas!
Day 54- she's really starting to get pungent. As soon as I ope. The tent the whole place just stinks. I love it. Gotta have good carbon filters for this strain, or you're gonna let everyone know what you're up to by smell alone. She's really swelling up nice. Gonna start giving her the final flush and water only from now on. Almost time to chop!
Today's the day I guess. Went to look under the microscope for the first time and she's a little past where I normally take them. Also of note, on lots on the trickles, the stalks have turned a dark brown or almost black color even. I'll try and get some pictures, never seen this before. Very peculiar indeed....All in all she grew great, and as always is a joy to watch.
