Hasiklis420 Hey everyone. So if anyone is interested, the girls did NOT SURVIVE 😞. But as they say, "bad experience is still experience." In short, after the thermal treatment, the roots of the plants stopped developing. About 6 days later, they started to wilt completely, the leaves drooped, and they began to dry out. I decided not to waste my nerves and time on these plants. My conclusion: the problem was the pot system itself. Let me explain. They were similar to the "OctoPot hybrid grow system" made by myself. Why? 1) Not very well thought out. The difference between the net pot shapes and the pot itself left dry zones in the pot with soil, which in turn led to almost no roots except for the central one that went straight into the reservoir with the solution. Thus, the soil was almost not involved in the development of the plants. Plus, it served as a great environment for the development of various insects. 2) Planting two different genetics in one reservoir was also not a good idea. Since they were not feeding evenly, they grew unevenly as well, resulting in the wedding Cheesecake almost completely overshadowing the o.g. kush. I already had an unsuccessful experience growing two plants in one pot of soil. But I still decided to repeat it with this system. The pots were separate, but the reservoir with the solution was one. 3) My light power is not enough for that many plants, and there’s not much space either. Result: about 30 grams of unripe buds from both plants. Mainly wedding Cheesecake more than 20 grams. And about 5-6 grams of o.g. kush. I did a dry ice extraction and got 2.5 grams through a 220-micron mesh. And it didn’t yield much with the waste. Probably need a finer mesh, 160 and below. The smoke was tasty but not strong.

Hasiklis420 Hey everyone. Last week I didn't update my report due to the shock 🤯 that hit me. The thing is, when I went into the reservoir to add some solution, I discovered tiny larvae that looked like leeches, only very small, no more than one centimeter long. Naturally, I panicked and rushed to rinse my girls. I rinsed them under the shower with tap water at a pH of 8.5-9.0. The whole procedure took about 2 hours. During this time, the girls were in a suspended state, and I was holding tweezers in one hand and a hose with water in the other, removing all that nastiness from the roots of my plants. After that, I rinsed the reservoir with hydrogen peroxide and filled it with a new solution. pH 6.1 PPM 1000. Naturally, all this was a huge stress for the plants. To be honest, I wasn't sure they would survive. Over the next 3 days, I was still pulling out 3-4 larvae from the reservoir, while the plants drooped their leaves and started to yellow and dry out. As of today, it's been 2 weeks. It seems to me that the girls are slowly coming back to life. Wishing everyone problem-free harvests. Keep an eye on your plants. ✌️🌱🌴🌳🌲.

It turns out that combining hydroponics and soil like in the OCTOPOT grow system wasn't such a good idea. Since it creates favorable conditions for the development of various insects and larvae. In general, I found information that the only salvation might be heat treatment of the roots (50-55 degrees Celsius for 20-25 minutes). Yesterday I did the whole process, it took 4 hours.
