Not a lot to allow this first week.
Let’s dive in to the boring setup real quick.
These 2 testers are both in recycled coco loco in 2gal rootbuilder pots. Think airpots but a bit cheaper.
They will be fed nutes this round and we are going to run the Lucas Formula schedule/routine. We will use parts of the GH Trio, Micro and Bloom.
We add recharge once a week for some bennies and this round we are doing something a bit different for calmag.
We won’t be adding any extra calcium but we are going to add epsom to the feeds.
I’ve been noticing that the plants seem to need more of the mag than cal and this round we are gonna see if that’s the case. If necessary I will adjust and add a liquid calmag to the feeds.
Both plants will be trained fairly hard, starting with an early bend around day 12-14. We want to encourage a wide bushy plant rather than a taller xmas tree shaped plant.
We won’t be topping but we will bend and tie down and defoliate as needed.
Damn long winded! Anywho, that’s the intro post out of the way. Going forward it will be the weekly updates and pics. Should read a lot faster going forward.
Week 2 is in the books and we’ve started training and a weak nute feed.
This is a bit more aggressive than I’ve been in the past but I think these gals can take it
The plan is this, we planted the seeds offset so that we can encourage the main stem to grow horizontally rather than vertically.
The hope is that we will encourage the plants to grow into a wider bushier plant.
Might not end up with the giant colas but I’m okay with that.
Feed for week 1- all ratios are per gallon
Gh trio micro 4ml/gal
Gh trio bloom 8ml/gal
Recharge 1gram/gal
Next week we will increase the feed a bit and continue with the training.
Week 3 in the books and it was a good week for vertical growth and good side branching.
Still haven’t shown signs of preflower and that’s perfect.
I’m hoping that it’s another 2-3 weeks before these little ladies start showing sexy bits.
Both of these plants seem to be less sativa than a lot of the recent plants I’ve grown and chopped and that makes me happy.
Daddy needs some danky indica luv in his life!
Feed has been good tho I think I need to bump up the nitrogen a bit.
This week it’s 6ml/12ml micro/bloom per gallon of water.
Don’t forget to check back next week!
Another good week.
Both plants, 29 and 30, are just now starting to show pistils and stretch a little.
I would have liked to have gotten another couple weeks of veg but it is what it is.
Good color, the branches are strong and leaves are looking good.
I will do a little more training but once the plants hit full flower I’ll back off and let em do whatever they want.
Thanks for checking in and catch ya next week!
Another good week in the books tho I stressed them into an earlier flower than I’d have liked.
Budsites are starting to build up and both are now getting a touch of frost.
The grow itself has been easy peasy and both plants are looking better color and health wise this round than my last few rounds so I’ll take that!
Another great week for both plants. Color and overall visible health is still good which pleases me to no end.
Fb 29 is maybe a week ahead in the flowering phase but at this point in the grow I will snip a few fan leaves but that’s it for training. I wanna let the plants focus on stacking budsites and frost.
Nutes haven’t changed in 3 weeks or so, still running the Lucas formula and the feed is as follows...all ratios are per gallon
Gh micro 8ml/gal
Gh bloom 16ml/gal
Calmag 2ml/gal
Ph down 5-9 drops
Once a week the plants get plain distilled water, and one day a week the plants still get recharge at 1gram/gallon.
I’m anticipating another 4-6 weeks of flower which puts them right in line with projections.
Thanks for stopping by and checking me out with me!
Another good week in the books.
The plants are pretty noticeably different, wedding cheesecake has sharp pointy leaves and fb29 has more of an indica look to it.
Wedding cheesecake looks to be a couple weeks behind in its bud development even tho both plants popped same day.
Luv seeing the different strains growing together like this.
Boring grow deets-
Feed is the same as it has been since flower started. Running the Lucas formula using gh micro and bloom. Ratios are as follows and are per gallon....
Gh micro 8ml
Gh bloom 16ml
True calmag 2ml
Recharge 1gram
I do train the plants hard but I will stop at flower, so these gals have grown a bit wild as they’ve stretched.
I have defoliated tho, pretty much twice a week every week as soon as they’re old enough.
I think fb29 will finish up first, maybe 3-4 weeks and wedding cheesecake will be a couple weeks behind.
Cannot wait! Another couple of great growers, I am luving my fb experience, and if I can swing it I might just keep the fb strains running all year long!
