Day 37 spotted some deficiencies on more than one of my plants in spite of upgrading the dose of nutrients. The climate has been weird, climate went down and humidity up to 80 on rain day, so maybe has to do with the high humidity and the lack of organic fertilizer like worm castings that supplies the most of the micronuts since I decided not to add them on the coco mix like previous grows. Some advice here please. Now I'm adding a top dress of worm castings

Hi lanchita.... unfortunatly if you watered with a 5 ph you surely increased issues..... you will find here growdiaries.com/diaries/28932-let-mother-nature-do-the-job-1st-part/week/138596 a pic with proper range of pH for coco/soil for nutrients availablity 👍 you will need it to properly correct your problem in other hand i think that you are in a combo for few plants.... big N deficiency big Fe deficicency (chlorosis) at least may be some other (magnesium )! ur kush seems to be overwatered in addition. a question : is your pH metter need a calibration or a re-calibration sometimes ? many needs that... if yes proceed to the calibration before a new watering 👍 adding some benificials with innoculation technics could be a great help for the futur weeks cause they acts as a bio regulator (and as a bio fertilizer) in order to break lock out nutes processes ... add tricho and mychrizzae + bacterias will be very useful...even if they took around a week to start to be fully effective..... in the second week in my diary i explain a bit how they works....feel free to take a look growdiaries.com/diaries/28932-let-mother-nature-do-the-job-1st-part/week/140117 spraying a solution with Fe and N could aslo be a good solution for to help plant for a faster and better recovering....use distilled water if you spray. for your plant in veg don't worry. they will recovering soon if u keep the good pH range....for the tangie auto it s a bit late try to add pk at 6.5 pH and see if it improves things 😓 hope this helps....good luck for your grow

Hi guys im having doubts, im doing a organic-mineral type of medium. Mix is 20%worm castings nice quality-80% coco/perlite. Since i just transplanted im now watering 1 feed 450ppm and 3 tap water at pH 6.0 with no runoff. Are the ppms okay? runoff always is more than 6.5

I think your doubts are reasonable I’m afraid..with organic feeding you actually feed your soil and the biological life in it Since minerals (salts) kills your bio life your worm casting will probably be useless and I think the worm casting is causing the elevated ph because it’s something compost like witch is of a higher ph then coco And ppm is not something I’m familiar with so i don’t have a clue 😅I’m an ec kind of guy 😁 My only advice left is go one way al the way it has the best effect..and if you want to try an really easy bio grow check out bio tabs..they have great bio line witch works on coco and soil and you don’t have to worry about ppm’s or ph..you can just water them with tab water (if you wanna try out use photo periods because the bio tabs are a bit high on n for auto’s) ✌️

looks like you nee dmore nitrogen from the fade. the brown could be related to poorly prepared coco, if oyu got the cheap stuff, or it could just be too low of nutes. feed more, i'd guess... could wait a sec and make sure that's the case if it detiorates quickly with a couple water-only feeds. won't take long in coco for deficiences to get worse, but toxicities still take a while to reverse course. if you've been light on nutes, i'd fertilize more often than you have so far. coco needs fertilizer every feed... rarely a water only dose.

It actually looks like they could use some more water. Without enough water, you get a bit too much nitrogen. This results in a block of potassium and that is what you're seeing right now.

For me PH 5.8 is the sweet spot, then again i'm a plain coco user, I think the answer from Denge is a good one as far as it goes giving minaral nuts and worm castings good luck !😋

@Plagron Service, thanks my growmie, I'm using 30% more water from now on, should I use plagron Coco on all my waterings with this dose or just half of them with it and half without? I'm feeling they are having some trouble uptaking the nutrients

Looking good! Sounds like it’s really hot where you live. I live in Canada so it’s snow, multiple layers of clothing to keep warm and a very short outdoor growing season of about 4 maybe 5 months if we’re lucky. I have been to Portugal twice now and I fell in love with the climate. The winters are like our spring and the summer is amazing! I hope to partially retire there someday if I’m blessed. All the best with your gorgeous little plants growing forward! 😺

@Momgrowsthechronic, thanks! Yes I'm living in Argentina and summer is ending now, but still some hot climate around 30° and down on rain days, I wish your babes get big and healthy too! Ah, and wish I could go visit Canada someday people say it's really chill and amazing in spite of the cold weather

Hi! It seems like you're having some severe deficiencies. This indeed could be due to the high pH. For Coco, I would suggest to not go over 6.3. You're also not using enough basic nutrients I think. I would increase the dose of A and B and decrease the dosage of Big Bud..

Damn she’s looking fine 👍🏻 Don’t worry about your elevated ph..it’s a sign leftover minerals and salt you’re flushing out are binding with the ph- in your flushwater hence the elevated ph.its normal and it’s not a reading of your mediums ph it’s just elevated because your flush is working ✌️Happy growing and stay safe 🌱

@Lanchita,haha no problem,I love to help 😅 Do you always set your ph at the same level? If you do so I think this is the problem when you encounter nitrogen toxicity and potassium deficiencies because the ph range they are available is slightly different..nitro is more accessible at low ph and potassium at a bit higher ph..I let my waterings and feedings fluctuate a bit, during veg I ph down between 5.4 and 6 and in flower between 5.8 and 6.4.. the last 2 weeks in flush I don’t ph down I feed al my plants the same ec when they are in the same stage only the frequency changes like my MOBY was the regiment feed, water, feed, water and the purple queen used less nutrients because she was on a feed, water, water feed, water, water regiment Royal queen seeds has some really good info on ppm and ec charts and other growing topics and techniques Articles like this and a lot of stuff on YouTube where my teachers on growing https://www.royalqueenseeds.com/blog-cannabis-water-quality-part-2-ppm-ec-n298 Check them out you will find a world of information

@Belgiums_basement_budz, thanks bro, yeah i guess your style is what is the best because u know exactly how much water they are consuming when the pot dries out and goes really light weight like u say.. i used to go with that technique, but ive had some nitrogen toxicity and potassium deficiency and some grower here advised to go a little more water so EC doesnt go to high on dry periods. Im now using more frequent and less water. Anyways LAST QUESTION I SWEAR whats the EC you use?? for example in these MOBY and Purple Queen, 2 nice examples cause one is heavy feeding and the other i guess normal. THANKS BROOO
Belgiums_basement_budz
Belgiums_basement_budzcommented5 years ago
@Lanchita,i only water when my pots are really light..then I fill them up till I get some runoff so I can check ec..the frequency depends what my ladie consumes..in early veg this can be 1x a week en in full flower every day,it can even depend on strain..my fat moby consumed almost the double amount of nutrients and water in comparison to my purple queen so the best way to know is to check the weight of the pot in my opinion but if you ask different growers you’ll notice everyone has a bit of a different watering regiment..some growers water 2x a day little amounts You can play a bit with different styles to find out what suits you the best
