The Purple Lemonade turned out very good. They didn't really turn purple like I was expecting. Some of the fan and bud leaves purpled near the end but the calyxes never changed. I think 3 were of the same phenotype and the 4th was different because her buds had a lower leaf to calyx ratio and fewer hairs. Some beautiful colors though. All the buds were nice size and dense.
Although they haven't cured completely yet, I grew this strain previously, I tried some bud that had broken off during harvest and dried quickly. It had an uplifting high and okay taste for no cure. It has lemon smell and taste on the inhale and a more earthy taste and pungent smell exhale. I'll update more after a good cure but it is similar to my previous experience with PL. A good daytime smoke that will put you to sleep by days end if you smoke it throughout the day.
I have been using this very effectively for the past few grows. I believe it is responsible for faster, fuller growth. I use it once a week with a full feeding of water only, no nutes. I will make it a part of my regular feedings.
Top quality buds, great yields all in 9-10 weeks. This strain is very easy to grow and resistant to disease and mold. I would recommend growing this strain to anyone that wants to try automatics. Smells great, tastes great (lemons) and high in THC.
I grew these in 3 gallon pots, in soil, organically wanting an average of 112g/plant. I fell about 9g/plant shy. If I would have used 5 gallon bags, I'm sure I would have made it plus some. Anyway, I am very satisfied with the results and will grow this one again.
Thanks for turning on and tuning in. All comments and questions are welcome.
Da Da Dab, Da Da Dab all folks.
Peace and Health
I got some leaf clawing going on and I'm not sure why? Only 1 of 4 plants that are under the same conditions is showing the condition. The only new introduction has been some cal mag in very low doses (1ml/gallon). It doesn't seem to have slowed growth in any way. Any thoughts?
@smowkabowl Hi mate it looks to be root stress related maybe the substrate is too warm under the surface and is causing issues with adequate Oxygen supply to the roots
My suggestion would be to add a little cool water slowly to effected plants roots then apply some type of mycorrhizae such as Great white from plant success or similiar product
@Grey_Wolf, I appreciate the prompt reply to my help question. What is the ideal temperature of H2O to feed your plants? I've always heard between 68 - 75F and never below 62F. Peace and health
@Grey_Wolf, that is about 64-65F. I have a well that is about 65F (18C) coming out of the ground. I have always thought that was to cold and I would acclimate it to room temperature. I will start feeding at temps closer to 65F and see how things go. Peace and health
Sympa! 👍 Mais la tienne n'a pas eu de problème au démarrage, la mienne a stagné les 2 première semaine et ne fait que de se réveiller. Je te souhaite de t'amuser avec ta jolie demoiselle.
Let's grow 🤘😜
@WILLIAMSII_Fr_Farm, right on man, the first one I grew I stunted and netted about 50 grams or so. It never purpled out for me though. I think I solved the issue for these four. Peace
@WILLIAMSII_Fr_Farm, Yeah, it's happened to me before. Once that happens with an automatic you have to decide whether to continue and spend the energy to finish, with diminished results or pull and start over only having lost 2 or 3 weeks time. Peace
@northernMike, yikes! No wonder your growing that Candy Cane auto, winter is in full blast north of the border. I may have to start that strain in Sept/Oct for an Xmas treat. You're right the Lemonade looks good anytime of year. Peace
@CaptainCream, appreciate it mate! Yeah, that last one has some trippy colors goin' on. A nice long dry and cure and I'll be chillin' all summer long. Peace and health
