Fastbuds surprise time. I was lucky enough to get some tester seeds from fastbuds. Here we have their FB29. I was a little worried to begin with. The first seed I tried to germinate didn’t take. This one took right off and pooped quickly. I didn’t think she was going to make it once she was up. She was small and looked frail, then bam, over night she come to life and has looked really good since then. All I know about this one is it’s a sativa / indica hybrid. That’s all they told me, so that’s all I can pass along. Fastbuds hasn’t let me down yet, so I can’t imagine it to be anything but wonderful regardless of what it is.
Well, this one seems to be coming right along. I gave a little dose of nutrients this week. I decided to try out the GH maxigro after the success I’ve seen with my hydroponics. There’s not a whole lot to report this week. She’s just finally starting to get growing. Let’s see what the next week brings.
Another week of good growth. She’s growing fast. I still think I’m going to let this one just grow in its natural form. Not a whole lot to report this week. Just watching her take form.
This thing is still flying right along. Side branching is looking really good. The plant looks strong. So far I’ve still managed to fight off any urges to train or defoliate this one. It’s hard, I’ll be honest. Like I said before, I’ve never grown one straight up, and this compact size seemed to be a good one to try it. Just kinda curious to see how the shape and yield will wind up being compared to training and butchering and such.
You can notice some pistils forming already, so imagine flowering will be full on come next week. This is also the first time I’ve used the GHE nutrient line in soil. So far I must say I’m pretty happy with what I’m seeing. My Pineapple Express and tester 31 are both hydro using the same nutrients, so I have to assume everything will go well. Ladies and gents, if you are not using dry nutes and don’t have a organic reasoning, switch switch now. The cost savings on this compared to my FoxFarm grows is NIGHT AND DAY DIFFERENT! Check it out for your selves. I assure you it’s worth the time to review at least.
Flowering has begun. The stretch is starting and she gained six inches in height this week. Growth seems to still be moving along pretty nicely. The hardest part about this grow is leaving her alone. I’m really not used to not messing with my plants in some way. Still dedicated to seeing this one out with nothing at all done to it besides food and water. Still coming along.
Not much to say this week. She just keeps growing up and out. Stretch hasn’t been terrible, but surely noticeable. We will see what the next week brings us with it.
Well, so far I’ve still kept my hands off of her. She’s still completely the natural form with zero training, or trimming. The buds are starting to take form. Connecting here and there. Really moving along good now. Seems like I can almost stand and watch it grow before my eyes. At this rate a few more weeks, and she’ll be about ready.
This one is still just trucking along she’s just about to pass the Pineapple Express on maturity. Growing good, filling out finally. Internodal spacing is a little further than I like, but again, no training at all.
So far the only thing other than food and water this one has had done to it, was a branch repair. Moving the Pineapple Express it snapped a branch. Not a clean break, but bent straight down. So I splinted it back to where it was, and we’re gonna let her heal up other than that, it’s been business as usual. The general hydroponics maxi line is doing perfectly fine best I can tell. I’m really glad I listened and gave that stuff a shot. If you haven’t yet, you should. Really simplifies your grow.
Well, what started as misery has ended happily. Not training or trimming has bothered me this whole grow. However now, looking at it, I’m glad I didn’t touch it. This thing is getting BEAUTIFUL. The buds are forming, the main cola is huge, everything looks great.
The smell on this one is POTENT. She stinks to high hell! But it’s a WONDERFUL scent. It mostly reminds me of a gorilla glue-ish smell. But it’s still early. So we will see where it goes. As it stands though, I’m more excited to try this one than I have been most other grows.
The trichomes are piling on nicely. The sugar leaves are covered, and even the fan leaves are getting a nice dose of crystals. This one will surely be a treat to sample when complete. A few more weeks and this should shape up really nicely.
There’s not much I can say this week that I didn’t say last week. This thing is dense and STINKY. It’s starting to develop a diesel smell to it amongst all the other scents. This thing is gorgeous and no matter how it turns out, I will be growing this again.
Flush time for this one. If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a thousand times, I can’t wait for this to get done. The trichomes are piling on by the day, and the smell gets more and more potent by the day. I can smell this one when I pull into the driveway at home. The diesel smell is really coming in more so than anything. The hairs are all turning dark, and the trichomes are clouding up nicely. It won’t be too much longer, and I’m real happy about that. I might start another tester 29 just because I KNOW I’m going to love this strain!
Still giving her just water, letting her finish up. Every day she looks a little closer to completion. Prolly harvest her next week sometime.
The trichomes are milky with some more amber becoming prevalent. The smell is just as thick if not more so than last week. Carbon filter or not, this girl wants her presence to be known. And I’m fine with that. :).
This was one EASY grow. She gave no problems at all, with the least work I’ve put in any plant. I was hesitant to not train or cut on her, but I’m sure glad I didn’t. This plant is BEAUTIFUL!!! The smells are out of this world strong. I’ve been so excited for this one to finish up, I’m DYING from wanting to try it.
Dense nugs and chucks of bud everywhere. Frosty frosty buds. I don’t know what this strain is yet, but I’m sure this will be a favorite I return to in hydro, and some more work on it next go round. I did this grow with Maxi nutrients from GHE. They perform awesome in hydro, and just as well in soil. Seeing how this auto grew, has made me rethink my way of growing certain plants at certain times. This was as easy of a grow as ANYONE could ask for. Zero problems or issues the whole grow, and did NOTHING but feed and water it. If your just starting out growing, I’d highly suggest this strain when it’s released. The smell of diesel is super strong with this one. Has some sweet undertones also. Once it’s dried and cured, I’ll update with the flavors. I’m sure I won’t be sad about it.
Special credit again to my fiancé on this one for the pictures. Without her work and time, these diaries would be not near as impressive looking.
****update***** finally after a good cure our official guess on this one is blueberry cheesecake. The smell is blueberry for sure we’re getting off of it now. This is one amazing strain.
