It's been a couple weeks now. I've added 2 gallons of water over that time for evaporation. The ladies are all standing tall and starting to grow. They all have visible roots....some are much better than others. Still gonna let them go at least another week to get those roots all super developed. Isn't this plant just amazing!?! Some of these have really nice looking roots happening. I like to have the side little whisker looking roots.....then I know I've done a good job and the plants are going to live once I drop them in soil. You really only need it to have just tiny bumps on the main stem.....those bumps are the start of the roots growing. But I've found that those plants never get as established as the ones you let go until there's roots as long as your forearm on there. You get those roots first and then drop it in dirt and you'll have a main stem as thick as a broom handle when you finally go to chop. You know how the jar of rooting gel says to not get it places you dont want it to....that's why. I should be able to wipe it off this particular plant, but I've had them in the past where that part of the stem down the road leads to a catastrophic failure. Gotta be careful. Another reason I always take at least 4 cuttings. Then I pick the best 2 of those to go in dirt. Then the best one of those is the new mother. The other either gets flowered or axed. It's a rough life.

Man you got the cloning on lock :) I'm just starting my first SOG so would defo use some advice around the cutting area anything for the newbee ? I have grown a while but only ever from seed. not had much luck with rooting clones in the past. Would you consider DWC being better for clones ?

@TheUk420Show, yeah I like to take bigger cuttings, and have a good 2-4 inches of stem at least going under the puck. For me, it's so when I plant it in the soil, there's enough stem there that in goes into the pot pretty deep and gives the plant stability. If I take them smaller then there's always a bunch of staking that has to happen just to keep her from ripping out of the ground and falling over. And I reccomend to keep.taking the clones from a plant that you'll flip. That's a really good plan. Keeps floor space free from having a mother. But take double the amount of cuttings you want. Then once rooted you choose the stronger half to save. Then gift the rest to friends and fellow growers, throw it into your compost pile if you do that, or just garbage bag em and toss in the big. Seems like a waste, but you are only insuring that you keep you strain as strong and vigorous as possible. Trust me, it's a real heart breaker when one of your favorite plants stops getting you high or dies off. Like losing a family member. Good luck homie!

Such a great amount of roots!! Nice clone machine, dude! I have some sprinklers like that, and spare water pump. I'll test something in the future! Idea save as "clone Machine"

@Psilocubensis, thanks bud. Works really well with the constant spray of water, you dont even need to use rooting gel or anything and you'll still get about a 90% viable rate with these sprayers. It just takes a bit longer without the gel or the clonex additive for the water. Good luck!
