It's exciting to start a new journey! I started by trying to germinate 2xF.Bs. Unfortunately only one made it, so I started one more and this third one made it at well 👌 This time I washed and buffered the coco with CalMag and mixed it with a good amount of Perlite for better drainage and aeration. This time around I’m challenging myself to get up to 200 likes, quite a high aim I know, let’s see if me and Fat Banana can make it. If you have something in mind you would 👉 Like 👈 to see or learn, be so kind and let me know ;) Big Plant Science Power House Part A 200ppm/ml/l Calcium Plus Part B 150ppm/ml/l Stimulus 30ppm/ml/l Aroma Boost 80ppm/ml/l

Things are looking great, I've put them under the LED this week so they can get used to it... and to get a better video quality :D I'm mostly hand watering at the moment one time a day.

The bananas are quite progressive, they were like this from the start, they are one node ahead of their sisters. Planning to top them at the 6th node this time and give around 5-6 weeks of veg.

Girls are looking good, though they could have been much larger by this time. I wish I gave them more light and more nuts in the previous weeks. Well, they will have to spend more time in veg. They got topped this week, at the 6th node, and I will do it once more before flipping them, so in total there will be 10 lower branches + 4 tops. I also started misting with CalMag just in case.

Impressive week! They love the higher amount of nuts, they probably tripled in size this week. They shoot branches quite asymmetrical, and dozens of them! Very fast-growing strain! They both showed a small sign of a CalMag deficiency, which stopped after I increased the amounts of both Cal and Mag and I also kept giving them extra CalMag foliar. They got topped the second time this week.

Any clue what this is? It only appeared on 1 of the plants and only on 1 of the fan leaves. The brown color has kind of a metallic shine to it. My guess is that it’s a Cal. def. I also suspect it might be a Phosphorus def. as the plants turned dark green the last few days.

Hi @Green_Dream At the beginning of the calcium deficiency, the leaves also turn dark green but a darker green more pale. I am also more inclined towards Phosphorus deficiency due to the appearance of the leaves, but if more black spots like this appear on the leaves, it will probably be a calcium deficiency, if you already feed it with calcium and it doesn’t effect it can also be the accumulation of mineral salts in the substrate, preventing the roots from feeding on calcium and mg, you will have to make a flush and only then apply calcium and mg. good luck mate 👍

The two main events this week: Defoliation and training. The ladies seem to take it well. As you could see last week I got a deficiency in one of them. It turned out to be a Phosphorus def. Apparently the nuts I use have a rather low amount of Phosphorus... I had the same problem in my last grow(dark leaves, slow bud development)... unfortunately that time I didn't get what was happening. So I started giving them "Bud Explosion" now, 2ml/l, which basically contains a mix of Phosphorus and Potassium, and the improvement was almost instantly noticeable! I'm thinking they get 4-5 more days to recover in veg. then I flip them.

Bananas are doing great, very nice, big, fast-growing ladies. Especially one of them has a very peculiar smell, I definitely get it why they are called Bananas :D I flipped them to 12/12 after 47 days of veg. I was a bit afraid that they were getting too large, I hope they will fill up the remaining space nicely.

The first week of flowering went great! The girls stretched nicely and they are growing vigorously. The pistils started showing up quite quickly, only a few days after I flipped them. I increased the PK as they showed slight signs of deficiency. They are packed with shoots, almost too much I would say, I hope they will have enough space for the buds to develop properly and healthily.

I'm very happy about how the buds have developed in this 2nd week of flower! The girls stretched a lot this week, about 15cm. The bud sites are a bit too close to each other, but I can't do much about it now, I will have to put up to the extra work when harvesting. They get fed 6 times a day and they drink a looot, about 2,8l per day 😮 I'm doing a flush today, the first one, to get the roots rinsed out of any accumulated salts.

It has been a good week. The bananas are fattening! They are also loosing most of the lower leaves, I'm a bit afraid that they lose too many, I hope not! I had to raise the one that is on the right side, as it was considerably shorter than the rest of them. Now after two weeks of stretch it seems like they stopped ascending. I can't wait to see how this coming week will go!

It's been a pretty good week. I did quite a big defoliation, as things were getting crowded. I switched to a more flowering dominant feeding, I decreased the Nitrogen and pumped up the phosphorus and potassium. I will soon do a flush, as it looks like the nuts are starting to accumulate at the roots.

I'm quite impressed by this week's development. The girls are starting to show their fatness. I did a flush at the beginning of the week and it helped a lot. Now I'm starting to give them less and less nuts, as they show obvious tip burns. What a big coincidence that they are both polyploids(gene mutation). I'm starting to question myself if the guys from RQS are making experiments with these types of mutations to increase yield and potency???

This has been one more great week. The girls look good and are starting to head towards the finish line. I lowered the nuts to 1,58EC and they seem to like it like that. I also started using the runoff water to hand water(1,3l per plant, 1.4EC) them both in the morning and in the evening to prevent build-up of salts. I did a big defoliation right at the end of this week, so the lower buds can get more light and to increase air flow. They have a very enticing smell: fruity, flowery, and citrus. Side story: the other day I was browsing one of the new RQS articles and I came across this familiar picture! My picture from Growdiaries. So I decided to write to them and ask for some recognition. They were very respectful of my request and put my name under the picture. Unfortunately, they didn't include the #growdiaries as I wanted, but hey, they at least wrote my name.

Nope I see no netting here unless its hidden. Usually A SCROG has even amounts of heads from mainlining. This looks to me like a well trained plant with a nice even canopy. I might add does it even matter what its called lol. I use 2 scrog nets but I don't scrog I like to use them to make sure the under canopy or popcorn buds can get plenty of light hence i use the nets to separate the larger buds from the smaller ones and hopefully it will increase my yield a fair amount. if you installed a netting or an extra netting you will be able to spread it out even more allowing more budsites to mature quicker and properly. SOG like other growers have stated usually requires 10-15 plants or clones that are started on a 12/12 cycle its preferably with large cuttings as they root alot faster than a seed does I am experimenting with what would be considered an SOG very soon. With mine i tend to use large cuttings and place them in an nft tank and switch the lights when they have rooted to 12/12 what this does is give you 1 main cola per plant which is not much but if you times that by 10 or 15 it can become a decent size yield though this growing technique is very advance and for someone who has a very good understanding of clones and phenos. I have been growing on and off for 5 years and I still learn things all the time. Only now have I felt comfortable enough to set one up. or try atleast lol. Looking great anyway bro keep up the great work :)

It's been a great week! The girls are getting very close to finish, one more week left. Trichomes are 60% milky. I reduced the nuts to 1.02 EC and next week they go down to 0.02 EC. I did the last big defoliation, both for more light penetration and better ventilation. All in a wish to keep them healthy on the last 100m run.

I didn't think they would take so long, this is the 8th week of flowering. I did want to take them down at the end of this week, but they were not just ready, so they're getting a few more days, only a few :D On the other side, I'm so happy they get a proper flush and get to show their autumn colors!

As I mentioned before, these ladies took a bit longer then I expected to finish. I am happy for that though, they got flushed for about 10 days and the buds fattened up nicely. Here you can see the last pictures before harvest.

It was very exciting growing these beautiful polyploid girls! What a coincidence that both were polyploids, it made me curious about gene mutations. They were very vigorous in their growth from the beginning. They developed hundreds of side branches... which made it a pain in the a** when trimming. They took longer to finish than expected, I harvested 1st one DAY 59, and the 2nd DAY 61(8 weeks and 1/2). The short one had very dense, hard buds. She reminded me of Critical from RQS. The tall one had more airy buds, but larger. They both had a very appealing smell of flowers and citrus. And funny enough, when I was transplanting I got this strong smell of banana peel from the roots of the short one. They didn't like too much nutrients, they were a bit sensitive on that account. They reacted well to training.
