PLANT 3
This topped plant is very bushy. About 8 predominant colas, 4 which appear to be main [much thicker, bushier, closer node spacing]. 15in tall and drinking as much as the 24in plant [2L daily] So far hasn't shown nute deficiency unlike the last grow in re-used soil which showed deficiency just before flowering started. Overall, seems very healthy. Lots of medium-sized leaves. Very robust plant.
PLANT 4
Not sure what happened but the untopped plant hit a major growth spurt. It's grown 7 inches in the last week, now standing at 24inches tall. The node spacing at some point got very large, this could be a nutrient issue starting to show. I usually have short stout plants even with untopped ones due to my light strength+distance and the nutes. This is re-used soil and it's only 4L/1gallon so the soil is pretty leeched. I did fertilize the soil, but as seen with my most recent harvest [planted at the same time as this grow] I didn't fertilize enough and it was too far into the grow to really remedy the effects. To recap, this plant is a strangely tall phenotype for this 'dwarf' strain. This particular plant also started with 3 branches at every node, starting with 3 cotyledons. The tri-nodes only appeared on the first few lower branches and it seemed to fix itself as it grew. So this plant isn't genetically sound, the height isn't all that strange. It also seems much slower at flowering. The topped plant [which should be behind due to topping] is further along in the flowering stage. Even in my last harvest though, the topped version was about 2 weeks behind. Due to the excessive growth, I bumped up the nutrients and haven't seen burn yet.
