hello to all the marijuana growers, I wanted to ask you for advice, yesterday I practiced topping tecnique and I wondered if this technique is enough or if it is better to apply the main lining, what are the pros and what are the cons I have a tent of 60 ,60 ,150

If you're new to growing then I would suggest that you stick with topping and forget about mainlining for the time being. The reason is simple - get a sense for what a topped plant does after it's recovered and how it grows through the veg. and flower cycles. While you will get less uniform growth with topping than you would with mainlining, there is less recovery time (because mainlining is essentially 2 stages of topping) and obviously more branching. In combination with LST you can achieve very similar results on a shorter growth timeline. If however, you're not pressed for time and have some experience - mainlining the plant will add a couple extra weeks to veg. but pay huge dividends when it comes to your flowering cycle. The reasoning is simple - you'd be stripping all that lower growth below the topped node and effectively creating two large main branches that will act as the nutrient superhighways for the smaller branches of the plant that will grow above this node in the future. Explosive growth once the plant has matured and massive yields👍. I don't generally plug my grows but if you want examples of each then take a look at my Gorilla Glue diary (topped) vs. my Spliff Strawberry Diary (mainlined) and you'll see what I mean. Whatever you decide to do - good luck!👍

MedUs_0o It seems that it is difficult to bloom, but now we are almost there, now and over a week that I lowered the cycle of light, but perhaps because I gave him a nice tease, I stressed it and therefore slowed down a bit, for the rest it seems to grow strong and vigorous, next week I really think it will be the week of flowering. see you in the next week

MedUs_0o For three weeks now I have lowered the daylight hours to 12 and only now are we starting to glimpse some pistils. In the meantime, it has occupied all the available space, and has also risen in height, so everything is going in the right direction and I must say that so far it has not given me any problems. I really think it will start blooming next week. Good job everyone.

MedUs_0o this week I decided to give it more light given its large size, perhaps the 56 w of my opticled would have been enough, but having stopped my first cfl light I thought it wouldn't hurt. to next week.

a lot of lateral branches have come out on my plant, they are also small and I don't know whether to let them grow or cut them in order to concentrate the forces on the slightly larger ones, calculating that they are in the pre-flowering period, what should I do, leave them grow or cut them, I hope someone you want can help me, thanks

@@MedUs_0o, I'm sure it will be fine. I defoliated my last crop extensively (nothing like yours though :) ) and it turned out fine - lots of small buds never got any big colas. Yield nailed it though. This crop I'm purposely not defoliating to note differences. It's all about experimenting and learning anyway whilst enjoying some flowers 👌

there is no need for the 2nd scrog just yet...if you want to increase your yield, remove it, and take the long shoots/mains and tuck them under and between the 1st lower scrog and do more LST with them. 2nd scrog, if needed, you'll add it when flowering and when the buds are too heavy to sustain themselves. best of luck

@@occultgreen420,ok, he went to see your diaries to get an idea, with the translation a little I find it hard to understand what you are saying to me, but broadly speaking there are. Thanks for the attention.😉

@@MedUs_0o, your plants are already tall, you want to spread them out. by supporting them at this stage vertically, you only encourage to grow taller, forming big buds on top and small at the bottom. remove the 2nd scrog, pull down the tips of the mains under the scrog, try to make it a horizontal grow if you are looking for big yield. Have a look at my diaries, might give you an idea. I personally put the scrog only after I am starting to flower. Best of luck!
MedUs_0o
MedUs_0ocommented5y ago
@@occultgreen420,if, on the other hand, you think it can have the opposite effect, that is, decrease yields, then the discussion is different and at this point I am going to remove it now. :- what do you say?
