After seeing the first sign of rooting on the seed I put it in soil.
After 2 days the first sign of leaf became visible
too bad i didn't take pictures yet from the start
After 3 weeks we found out the species of the plant (friend wo gave it to me found the origin),
Hi, I've done this on larger scale in the past, now I do my best to keep within lines of Dutch laws.
This is a bit difficult but very doable.
I started late with taking pictures,
Yesterday I noticed the first white hairs 😀
So I took some pictures today and uploaded them.
I grow on very small scale under a desk 😏 so the plant can't grow to large in height.
No topping for me, since this is an automatic, I'd like to see that it does.
From seed it has been on 12/12 :) also to see if it still will become a nice lookin plant, also to keep it short.
I added some chicken fertilizer for extra nutrients, just on the soil.
On day 24 (3,5 weeks) I decided to make the plant a bit smaller with LST technique. I hope I didn't break the stem otherwise I'll have to update to HST / LST.
Bloow has been set and is going fast. remember, this is from seed on 12/12 lighting.
Ok last week I made small mistake, it's just LST
and it seems to have working out good, it didn't stress the plant visible
I had to lower it since i dont want to put the lights higher (experiment for me)
I'm starting to add the pk 13-14 a bit early, in lower amount, and i will keep doing it untill it's almost finished.
Forgot to mention, I am using cheap chinese COB chips that i bought for a fair price, since everyone says there bad, i couldn't believe it and wanted to find out for myself.
All looks nice, process of this autoflower thing is very fast, so no time for stress or recovery from stress.
This works just as fast as a clone. I put it on 12/12 from seed and was overall satisfied with the outcome so far.
Also I upgraded to 200 watt this week, perhaps i'll put some more next week
Ok, I lowered the light power to 130 watt, I've heard that autoflowers won't get me more than 50 grams on each plant. So, mucn more light won't be needed. (i think)
After speaking to a seed specialist I was adivised to put more nutricion in the water., so this week I first gave 2,5 ml/per liter and a couple of days later the 5ml/L..
i didn't wanted to feed it too much, but seedspecialist told me that it wouldn't cause any damage, even when raising the level this fast
No PK and no chicken fertilizer this week
This one's going faster then thought, it's an autoflower on 12/12 from seed, so the yield isnt expected to be really high.
The seed on 18 hours schedule would finish in around 6,5-7 weeks
I've heard that it's going to be the same on a 12/12 schedule 😀
ofcourse that will lower yield too. But.. for buds in the fourth week since the first signs of flowering hairs all looks good, feeding is on the max with an EC of 2.38 !
Light is 100w chinese cob on 220v
on the sides 2x 50W - 12V, both powered at around 35 watts making 170 watts together ( to compensate the short time schedule of 12/12)
I'm kinda new to autoflowers, I heard about small yield, I'm aiming towards 30g/plant dry bud, I'll be happy with a wet weight of 200grams for the whole plant.
pictures are taken last day of the 7th week since getting the seed
if i didn't use lst, it would be 27+30 cm high (measured the horizontal main stem)
i added molasses this time, for taste, instead of other booster besides the pk solution
also i threw in some chicken fertilizer pellets in to add some organic power to the soil
i like the taste of mineral, but my heart is with bio, so i use both
somehow the flower is looking like it's wanting to finsh already.
very nice experiment, instead of 18-20 or 24 hours of light for autoflower, i dd 12/12 from seed, guessing that the 7 proposed flowering time would be for the 18 minimum hours of light. I think it will be ready within that time, let's wait for that moment, whatever comes out is nice, her bud is starting to make me stare already...
Well, I've been comparing this with similar strains, untill now, i think she sugar kush is less profitable when using LST, but it works good, and the plant is nice and low
All looks good, smell is good,
flushing with ec 1.4
I could have harvested last week already, but i like to let it stay a little longer
harvest wont be impressive, but it's an trained autoflower, on normal potting soil, and lights very low.
quality looks very nice, smell too, I hope it tastes the same too.
This was an easy cycle with some average problems, dealt with the gnats by topping the soil.
anyway it was a plant that was easy to grow, a very pleasant non weedy smell around.
and was ready within 70 days, i left it a couple of days more till first amber trichomes
The most strains taste far better after curing, with this one i don't agree with that rule.
This strain actually tastes better when it's fresh. The curing brings back more of the kush, and makes the smoke stronger, but the taste of fresh dried sugar kush is close to undescribeable.
