Well, obviously not much to look at but, I would like to document everything from start to finish. The last two early miss seeds I planted started in January and are now in their late stages of flowering. These were the remaining four inside the in the stash. Hopefully some will pop by the end of next week and have an update. Cheers. Well it’s official, 100% germination rate with my 6 early miss seeds purchased from a local shop. These ones all popped within 5 days. I planted 3 them in buckets, I’m still trying to find a big enough pot for the last one. That’s all for this update I’ll post a pic of my setup next week. Cheers. New week new grow. Two of the 4 sprouts busted through the soil in their new homes to start feeding off the light of my existing early Miss in late bloom. Right now the schedule is around 16h per day and I anticipate my other two plants finishing in the next two weeks and will be upping it to around 20 h/ day. I am waiting for a new full spectrum Samsung chip light panel from AliExpress, might be awhile because of the snail mail now, but hey🤷‍♂️Summer grow is just around the corner👌😎. That’s all for this week hoping the 2 stragglers pop out of the dirt any day and start their new lives as little ladies. Cheers. Within a week I lost 2 of my early Miss plants. One popped up through the soil and kinda just shrivelled and died, and another just never made it through the soil. Out of the 4 seeds that sprouted I have 2 that survived. Those two are currently under 2 led panels and around 19hrs of light. I just ordered a proper Mars grow tent from Mississauga and an additional full spectrum light panel. I think with this next grow I will be able to get bigger fuller buds than my previous early miss attempt. That’s about all for this week, hopefully everything will come in the mail by the end of the week, and I can update with a new grow room report. No new pics worth posting, but check out my harvest pic from my other early Miss grow. Cheers. A lot happened since the last update, my January early miss finished, I got a proper grow tent and an additional 1000w full spectrum light. These two early Miss are going to flourish! The growth even in the last few days under the new light has made such a difference! I can’t wait to see the results from this grow. That’s it for this update. Cheers. I missed my diary last week as I was a bit busy. My new grow tent is set up and everything has arrived. The two early Miss I’m growing seem to be doing awesome under the new full spectrum light. The fan leaves are almost the size of my hand, I’m very excited to see the result and compare it to my first early Miss grow. That’s about all for now. Cheers.

These have grown quite a bit since my last update, the two early Miss are doing awesome, they recently started pushing pistols and will likely be flipping to flowering mode any day. The last early Miss plants I grew were pretty much a month of growth followed by a month and a bit of flower. These two are growing similar to the previous ones I had grown. One plant is bushy with long slender stems, the branches; although I am tying them down, they are wandering away from the central cola enabling good light penetration. The second has very dense stems that do not want to wander far from the main cola. I normally don’t trim the leaves, just truck them in but I was forced to methodically trim 6 leaves to give light to additional branches. That’s about all for this update. Cheers.

Has anyone seen this before, branches growing out of leaves? I have limited experience growing and this was a first. I had to trim this one because it was shading some bud sites, but I didn’t notice until after I cut it. Weird or no? Thanks!

LEAF BULBS Most inflorescences on cannabis plants occur at the nodes where the stems originate. However, leaf buds can also be formed at the base of the leaves themselves. This is an unusual (albeit beautiful) mutation. It can also be beneficial to grow such plants as they develop more bud sites. Experienced growers, however, mostly remove them when they arise, since they otherwise absorb nutrients that are then no longer available to feed the main flowering sites. https://www.royalqueenseeds.de/blog-die-bei-cannabispflanzen-am-haufigsten-auftretenden-mutationen-n727

These are growing huge compared to my last grow, the new full spectrum light is amazing! These girls are on the big stretch, pistols popping everywhere and vertical stretch is on. I pruned a few leaves /approx 4 to open up sites on one of the plants, I also did a tuck to open up some light into the middle of the plants. Because these girls are starting flower I gave them a light dose of fox farms to ease them into a heavier dose likely by next update. I had an issue with cal mag deficiency with my first early Miss grow so I will be a bit lighter on these feedings until later on in the grow. Cheers.

Can anyone help me? I had this issue with my last early Miss and thought it was a cal mag deficiency. I tried to adjust it last time during flower but it didn’t help. I really only notice it on one of them so far but I would like to fix the problem sooner than later.

The girls are defiantly in flower, I probably could have started the entry as flowering last week, but I wanted to make sure they were on their way. Growth has been huge in the last week or two. I was doing some low stress training before they started stretching but I have mainly let them grow with ought touching them. The large bushy one was trimmed of approx 5 leaves to let some more light into the plant. The smaller one is showing some hard signs of a deficiency. I had the same issue with my winter early Miss grow, thought it was a cal mag deficiency, so I addressed it with dolomitic lime but it didn’t help. The leaves dry up and turn brown, none the less they finished great and was a good smoke, so I’m hoping these will stand the test of time. Any suggestions? I’m open!. Anyway these girls have almost filled my 3x3 tent and I’m running out of room. I have 4 non auto/non feminized seeds in the same tent. I am waiting for these two to finish before the light flip. No tricombs yet. I will be trying bud back building for these two. I tried it on a few nugs on the last grow with good results, but I think I was a bit late in flower to see great results. Likely by my next two updates around week 4 of flowering I will be giving the buds a little haircut. See you next week! Cheers.

One of my two early Miss plants is a lot further in flower than the other. The smaller one, in the smaller pot has started showing signs of tricombs production. The large one was very bushy hardly any light was getting into the middle stems so I did a light defoliation. The large is just starting to push the pistols, they are just beginning to stand up. I made a purchase early last week of pH up, Ph down and a cal mag supplement. My last grow I had an issue with cal mag deficiency but couldn’t fix it. After finally getting a Ph pen and the up/down solutions I realized my flowering fertilizer after mixing it would be around 5. This is probably why I couldn’t fix the last grow, I had no idea I was probably in nute lockout. I intend on back building these plants. For fun, I did a light snip on one of the colas. I know it’s way too early, but why not experiment. It has been about a week since I did a little haircut, and it seems like it didn’t make much of a difference. It is growing at the same rate and the same size cola beside it. Likely by week 4-5 I will be giving both plants and entire Bud top while they are in their final stretch. Cheers.

My god has it already been a week? The larger bushy one was given a light defoliation. Way too many leaves and no space between the branches. I started to see a huge deficiency even though I was checking the ph of my nutes and water. I started getting what I believe to be a cal issue. I decided to finally do a flush of water ph (6.2) and take a reading of the runoff. WOW. I was hovering around high 4’s to 5. Nutrient lockout for sure. I emptied 6 litres of ph adjusted water and did a final flush of 3 litres of adjusted water with some mild nutrients. Hopefully that will slow the problem. The whole grow these two plants have been totally different. One is really bushy lots of leaves and now very dense buds; however, it is taking forever to flower. The second has a lot less structure, looser buds, and is flowering much faster. I forgot to mention I did some bud backbuilding on every bud site on both plants, so we will see how that goes. That’s about all for this week, hopefully I can get them to harvest! Cheers.

I’m giving her all I got captain! Week 5 of flower and trying to coast through the finish line. I have been having a hell of a time with ph and runoff. I’m thinking it may be my tds now, but I don’t take readings so I have no idea. One of the girls is still very puffy and airy. Big buds but you can see lots of it is just leaf structure and a few small buds. That one has been giving me the most trouble. I thought it was cal mag, thought it was runoff thought it was lockout. I have no idea. I tried to fix and adjust it but it didn’t seem to fix the problem. The second plant in a bigger pot is now starting to show signs on the leaves. The second plant however; is doing great. The buds are thick and dense and filling out as they should. The denser one is also developing at a slower rate as I anticipated, I grew these last winter with similar results. I did a tricombs check and they really are not ready yet, hoping I can get them to 7 weeks and likely another one or two more for the other plant. Cheers.

These weeks just fly by!. Gave the girls a large flush followed by a light dose in nutrients. The run off was pretty acidic. I will likely be harvesting one of the plants before the other. The leafy one isn’t really putting anything else out, I’m on standby until I see some amber tricombs. I see a few on the leaves but not much on the buds. The dense big one is still pushing white pistols and growing by the day, Might be a 9 week flower if I can keep them alive. See you all next week! Cheers.

Today I did a half harvest. The smaller one was half harvested today. I didn’t notice until I started chopping it, that the leafy lower buds were starting to shoot more pistols. I chopped the upper half of the first one and didn’t touch the second plant, I tossed it back under the grow lights. Truthfully I may be doing the same to the one with dense buds, but I’ll wait till next week to see. That’s about all for this week. Cheers.

This is a very good strain. It’s got tons of resin and the smell is so strong and sticky as fu**! For a beginner it has decent flower output. For having two plants and throwing quite a bit of unripe bud into the trim bag for hash, I got a bit over a quarter pound. Not bad. Defiantly had a few nutrient issues but overall as long as it has light, this strain does good. I’m closing this out, thanks for tagging along. Cheers.

@SmylinPupil, I’m trying to figure out why I was contacted by royal queen seeds to run a strain for them, and make a diary... but when told my address in USA he just stopped answering. Put an order thru and everything but put United Kingdom. Just trying to figure out if this was legit I guess. Also- wanted to see how long you’ve been growing for?

First time I'm running this strain. What did you think of the bud? Can see on pkging vs diaries the 7 wks harvest is far exaggeration. Wondering if crop king exaggerated on the THC too.

@Fusion, mine finished at 11 weeks. I can only guess they are saying 7 weeks at onset of flowering.

@Fusion, I haven’t made a harvest yet, I started 2 in January that are probably about a week or two out. Follow it At: growdiaries.com/diaries/54891-crop-king-seeds-early-miss-grow-journal-by-smylinpupil I checked the tricombs with a loop yesterday and most of them are amber, the leaves are still very green, so I flipped the lights to hurry it along. Good luck! Those are probably on week 7-8

Necrosis at the leaf tips can be from too much light. I find Early Miss Auto is so hardy it survives most minor issues and keeps healthy ! Plants look so nice on the balcony. Frost is insane on this girl. Nice grow!
