A lot has happened in the last week. I got an actual grow tent and a better light for my next grows. Today was harvest day for my last early Miss. compared to the first plant, this one put out. The first was scragglier than this one, both grown in the same conditions but this one prevailed. The root mass in the first one barely dug into the surface, and as you can see in this one, it filled the pot. First plant weigh in was about 10g, although I’m closing this diary, after harvesting today I assume I probably got 1-1.5oz from today’s harvest. Overall approximately 2oz /2 plants. Considering this is my first indoor grow, I am happy with the outcome. I made a lot of mistakes that I won’t Carry over to my next grow. About 8 weeks flowering time and about 3.5 months from seed. Would I grow this again? Defiantly. The pungent odour and the deisely, skunnky taste left in your mouth after exhale will defiantly be bringing you back for more.

I’m also using spider farmer. Sf2000. It’s awesome.
It’s super strong for my grow so I had to dim it.

What do you guys think about harvest? I see a few ambers but not much (that’s what I want)how far you think? Is the fact that leaves are green still a problem? How about the crispy fan leaves? I think it’s too late in flower to fix it and just let her ride.

It looks close, but I think it can get a little fatter. I see that you are still feeding nutrients. In soil it is ideal to do a 2 week flush of plain waterings to allow her to use up all of the nutrients in the soil. If you don't flush then it can give your buds a harsh smoke and bad flavor. I would start her now with a pretty heavy flush to wash out as much fertilizers and salts as you can. Then just give her plain water over the next week at least before chopping her. It would be better to run the flush for 2 weeks but you will be ok if you need to cut the flush a little short if the trichomes are ambering up too much. Congrats on your successful grow and upcoming harvest!

I’m thinking about harvesting the first early Miss today. Some of the tricombs look deflated( maybe I touched them) i left it for a week and flushed the hell out of it. The tricombs look milky to me, I haven’t seen any swelling or bud development in awhile.

Yes definitely harvest her!! By whTbjm seeing in your trichomes she is ready for harvest! You should black her out for 2 days to get optimal thc!! It really helps good luck 🍀👍

Any ideas why there wasn’t much root structure on this plant? It seemed to kinda just hug the surface. I let the soil dry out during watering, so I’m not really sure?

I think it might be a couple things but the first thing I noticed was the shallow and small pot size. Can't expect as much root in 1gal as in 3gal pots. The other thing I would suspect would be poor soil quality. In my first 2 grows I used poor soil and saw the smallest root systems of any grows I have completed. If soil doesn't drain well it's hard for cannabis roots to thrive.

Its never a mistake to update the Lights. And those chinese Quantumboards are doing high Quality light for small money ( compared to other brands)
