Flower: bloom switch. Next grow I'll use both veg and bloom to see if there is any difference in growth.
Day 29. D1F. Res change. Trying Bud Ignitor its suppose to start flowering in 7 to 12 days. So I'll see how that goes. Light change. Air stone change tm. Major defoliation done. Bumped up nutes to make up for defoliation. Satisfied at this point with her. I'll have to see how she responds to it over next couple days.
Day 30. D2F. Things look good. Stones were severely clogged. Seems to be responding well to defoliation. Left a little more on her than I'd like. Tons of light through the plant now. Lots of bud sites. Will have extreme defoliation done again around week 3. I've tried several different stages of defoliation in room. Some extreme (almost bare), some had major (big and medium fan leaves), and some minor (big fan leaves) defoliation. Curious to see how they respond.
Day 31. D3F. Looks nice. Minor nute burn on a couple leaves. Starting to give off nice aroma. Very healthy. May need minor defoliation again before week 3.
Day 32. D4F. Very healthy plant, couple days after defoliation and you could hardly tell. The ones that were exfoliated extremely have stunted a little but that's ok. Gives this girl time to catch up in height a little. Tight node spacing 3/4 down the stalks. Definitely good genetics in that seed.
Day 33. D5F. No signs of pistils yet. Topped up res. Ph needed very minor adjusting. Plant looks healthy as ever.
Day 34. D6F. Temp and humidity are stable, ph is stable at 6.05. Looking very nice.
Day 35. D7F. Temp and humidity were good. Res change tm. Temp and humidity level change tm. Ph was a little higher than I'd like at 6.3. But it should be good until tm. Gonna cut back on the nutes a lil this next week. Was just a bit too much last week, very minor nute burn.
@Smokeys_Garden, Oh for sure.. Silica is the number 1 thing that most nutrients do not have for Hydro growers.. Notice how I don't really feed Silica? I think I add it about 3 or 4 times.. Be careful with what you add something I would never tell you around the store is almost always never use what any nutrient company recommends on the bottle. 1/2 what they recommend and for things like Silica supplements you have to use very sparingly.. The added structure may be give way anyway under high mass conditions so if you support from the get go. The need for silica is marginal. The end goal is healthy clean smoke.... Chemicals doesn't mean harsh or bad, considerations need to be made is all.
@DeadwebsiteBoringcommunity, I'm trying to get away from AN. I over bought so I am trying to get rid of what I have left. I've tried Remo on my outdoor grow, they seem to be loving it. I've started to incorporate that brand into my indoor grow. The structural stability was due to lack of sufficient amounts of silica. This round they seem a lot more stable.
@Smokeys_Garden, I'd love to see you using less Advanced Nutrients that's for sure.. Structural Stability.... Is a problem even for experienced growers :). Mitigation through plant support seems to be the best course of action.
@Garreweedlover, thanks. Explosive growth in hydro. Plant doubled if not tripled in height. Ya they look like dense buds already. Thanks for checking out my diary.
