Day 22. Res change today. Growth has exploded. Roots are a nice thick ball. No training today. Lots of newer growth. Recuperated nicely from (HST). Ph perfect nutes may not have brought the ph down to so called "sweet spot" but it sure does help keep the ph stable after bringing it into the sweet spot by downing ph. Upped the nutes a little. Ppm is around 1100. Used a little calimagic this week. If a couple others can catch up a little she'll be going into bud next week.
Day 23. She looks beautiful today. Responded well to nutrient increase. Stalk is nice and firm now. No sign of any deficiencies. If all goes well I will be switching her over to 12/12 on day 29.
Day 24. Very nice green color. A lot of new growth underneath. Needed to fill res a little. I am very pleased with her so far.
Day 25. No pics for this day. She is growing very nice. Not as tall as the others. Ordered more lights. Room is getting quite full now. Outer edges need more light. Ph needed minor adjustment.
Day 26. No pic today. Nice growth still. Res needed some filling. Minor ph adjustment. Minor defoliation. Waiting on lights still. Room configuration will need minor adjustment to accommodate light setup.
Day 27. No pic. Bounced back pretty good from minor defoliation. Letting her get some well needed rest in her last few days of veg. Major defoliation coming in next couple days. Will definitely have pics for the next couple days. Dropped camera a couple days back.
Day 28. Nice sturdy stalk lots of growth. Looks ready for heavy defoliation, light change and nutrient increase. Ph was pretty stable at 6.1. Lights came in. Light coverage is excellent now.
@Smokeys_Garden, Oh for sure.. Silica is the number 1 thing that most nutrients do not have for Hydro growers.. Notice how I don't really feed Silica? I think I add it about 3 or 4 times.. Be careful with what you add something I would never tell you around the store is almost always never use what any nutrient company recommends on the bottle. 1/2 what they recommend and for things like Silica supplements you have to use very sparingly.. The added structure may be give way anyway under high mass conditions so if you support from the get go. The need for silica is marginal. The end goal is healthy clean smoke.... Chemicals doesn't mean harsh or bad, considerations need to be made is all.
@DeadwebsiteBoringcommunity, I'm trying to get away from AN. I over bought so I am trying to get rid of what I have left. I've tried Remo on my outdoor grow, they seem to be loving it. I've started to incorporate that brand into my indoor grow. The structural stability was due to lack of sufficient amounts of silica. This round they seem a lot more stable.
@Smokeys_Garden, I'd love to see you using less Advanced Nutrients that's for sure.. Structural Stability.... Is a problem even for experienced growers :). Mitigation through plant support seems to be the best course of action.
@Garreweedlover, thanks. Explosive growth in hydro. Plant doubled if not tripled in height. Ya they look like dense buds already. Thanks for checking out my diary.
