I figured with the coronavirus lockdown, I might as well do something productive - GROW MORE WEED! So I'm running Barney's Farm Pineapple Express Auto. Out of first 2 beans, only one popped. Had a 3rd, it will be ready for planting tomorrow. Very much looking forward to another growing experience with Barney's Farm genetics! Expect weekly updates. Thanks for following!
Finishing week 2 with one nice-looking little plant and one seed (#3) that popped, grew a tap root, and then just stopped growing. I haven't given up on it - yet - but am not hopeful that it's going to survive. The plant that's growing - Pineapple Express - was transplanted into a 2-gallon fabric pot on the 31st, and is now in her final home.
And, as a bonus, I wanted to show everyone my little grow tent! It's an Opulent Systems 32x32x63, perfect size for my space; after several mis-steps, I've now settled on a Mars Hydro TS-1000 light; and I use a combo of a Terra-Bloom 4" inline duct fan (with speed control!) and an IPower carbon filter. I'm pretty happy with my set-up and am looking forward to seeing how my Pineapple lady turns out :)
Week 3 - looking great! Will start on nutes this week at 1/4 strength. She's growing bushy and beautiful. Seems very hardy!
4/13 update - well, I left my tent open and my cat decided it was time to munch. Boy, did she ever! Lesson learned, ZIP IT UP!
Week 4 - seems to have rebounded from the cat attack! Plant is pretty lush, looking very healthy. Started nutes this week, at quarter-strength. Just Grow Big and Microbe Brew for now. Looking good!
Great final week of vegetation! Started LST on main growth; she adapted perfectly and now I have approx. 10 bud sites. Also did a trim of largest fan leaves and snipped off some lower branches. By end of week (today, 4/25) bud sights are lightening nicely and have seen the 1st pistils. Next week I'll start at 1/4 strength Fox Farms Week 12 nutes. According to info from Barney's Farm, I should have about a month to go - I'm looking at finishing around May 29th.
Week 6 complete! Actually week 2 of flowering. Definitely a dwarf plant, but with so many bud sites, I'll be Ok with whatever my yield is - I've always wanted to try Pineapple Express! I tried to take a couple close-ups as I am seeing interesting coloration happening in the buds, I cannot wait to see how this development...well...develops :) Stay safe and stay green!
@Puffer_Bill, Thanks! I enjoy growing and I enjoy writing about my grows - it's therapeutic :) And during the COVID lockdown, it's something to do, lol!
Looks pretty, very dark green and I hate and loved it when my cat would sneak into my grow rooms and take nips at it. Now I think my cats addicted to weed because I can't have any loose bud laying around or she will literally fight me for it. So be careful
