Blimburn Cafe Racer seeds from Seedsman. All 6 germinated using the wet paper towel method. I tipped one cup over and lost the seed so I'm down to 5. Two seeds were quite small and couldn't discard the seed hull after germinating so I removed them. All are growing normal in Pro-Mix HP.
Just plain tap water once a day. The plant in the top left looks pretty perky compared to the others. Male? Different strain? Got a little spotting on some lower leaves that were touching the dirt. The 2nd week will receive 1 teaspoon FF Grow Big to gallon of 6.0 ph'd water.
Beginning of week 3, day 15! Happy Easter everyone!
Sunday the 12th - Transplanted to 3 gallons pots. Some lower leaves are brown and yellow but I think that's from being root bound in the solo cups. I'll give them a day or two to see how they react to the bigger pots. Feeding = 6 teaspoons FF Grow Big in 4 gallons of 6.0 ph'd water and evenly split between all plants.
Day 19 Thursday 16th - Leaves still showing spots but not showing up on new growth. I cut a few of the bottom leafs off. Haven't watered since Sunday when they were potted, but by the look of the leaves I'm going to hold off another day. Changed lighting from 24/0 to 20/4. Added 4 photos.
Week 4, April 19 - 25th
Day 22 - Watered today. 2 tsp Grow Big per gallon and 1/2 tsp per gallon of Bloom City Cal-Mag. Been a week since I potted and watered. In pictures C & D I removed some crappy leaves. If anyone reads this and has manifolding experience, is this plant a candidate for that? I'll do some reading on the matter today and make a decision tomorrow. I purchased a new 5x5 tent from Growers House. Love the size and height (72") but light leaks around most of the duct stitching and 2 small holes in the wall. Instead of sending it back I took some silicone caulk and smeared a line around the ducts and a small dab on the holes, LOL! It's flexible, gets in the crevices and works great. Also have an 4 year old tent from Grow Den that has been perfect from day one, wish they were still in business.
Day 24 - Super cropped the plant in pic C & D .
Wednesday Day 25 - All is looking good. Added 3 pics. Pic 24 C is the plant I super cropped.
Day 28 - End of week 4. Watered and fed. Did some lower leaf removal. All plants are looking happy & healthy. I'll give them a week to settle down, up the nutes. and put them in flower next week.
Sunday April 26 - Day 29 - Upping the Grow Big to 3 teaspoons per gallon and 1 teaspoon of cal-mag starting today. Did some defoliation yesterday, will let them eat and sleep for about a week and then flip to bloom. I can't wait any longer than that, the anticipation is killing me. My plan is coming together nicely.
Day 31- I can't wait. Juiced them up with some nutes (3tsp GB, 1tsp cal-mag) and put the lights on a 12/12 schedule.
Day 34 - No issues and plants are looking healthy. Noticed on the seed box that it says 50% Sativa 50% Indica. The seedbank site says it's 70% sativa w/25%- 35% THC.
Day 35 - I should have removed more of the larger undergrowth and canopy leaves. In a week or 10 days they'll get a trim. Added three pics.
Sunday, May 3, Day 36 - Gave 1/2 gallon water each with regular feeding plus one teaspoon FF Big Bloom per gallon. Depending on how the growth is this week I'll switch over from Grow Big to Tiger Bloom the next watering. With the humidity starting to increase it's a good time to crank up the a/c. Overall the plants look happy so I'm happy. For my next grow I need to concentrate on learning to do a better job of defoliation.
Day 37 - Added 3 pictures. Getting some stretch.
Day 38 - Cleaned up some of the inside and larger leaves. Added 3 pics.
Sunday, May 10, Day 43 - Still getting a little stretch. The supercropped plant is remaining shorter than the rest but looks healthy so I'll leave it be for now. Been thinking about trying Beastie Bloomz and Cha-Ching on at least two of the plants.
Friday, May 15th, Day 48 - 3 plants are showing buds and two aren't. The 2 that are not showing bud look like they are prepping for their stretch phase. Hopefully they don't go all crazy cause I've only got about 3 or 4 inches I can raise the light. Besides that bit of excitement I did a little leaf clean-up. Added 1 tsp Grow Big for a little nitrogen.
Sunday - May 17 - Day 50 - Humidity is running between 66% - 88%, a bit high but it's raining and I don't really need to run the a/c. Starting noticing the scent of it in the air, time to filter up! Next watering I'll be adding Beastie Bloomz at a 1/4 tsp per gallon. I'm pumped up to see the results of both BB and Cha-Ching. Initially I was only going to give it to 1 or 2 plants but have decided all of them will get it. Will water one plant and let it set a few hours and observe it before watering the others. Will start following the FF feed chart since I normally only give about half of what they recommend. I must have always starved my plants.
Friday - May 22 - Day 55 - Fed them with the Beastie Bloomz today. Was thinking about a heavy defoliating again but will just pluck off here and there along with some leaf tucking. One plant is slower/later than all the others. It's still working on getting it's stretch together but is otherwise looking healthy. The first time defoliating I could have taken more smaller branches off 3 plants.. I'll leave them this time. Added 3 pics.
Sunday - May 24 - Day 57 - Did a little leaf clean-up. Fed with the Beastie Bloomz yesterday so I'm eagerly waiting to see the results of it. Starting to see some crystals form. Overall the plants look healthy.
Wednesday - May 27 - Day60 - Along with the odor picking up so is the bud size. I can see some of the Beastie results. Buds are looking solid and plentiful and in my opinion they are larger than I normally would have at this stage without using the Beastie Bloomz. Time will tell but I think this is going to be a beautiful thing!
Sunday - May 31 - 34th Day of Bloom - Changing my days to bloom, easier to keep track of where they are in life. Hooking up the carbon filter is definitely clearing the odor. Getting some fungus gnats. Using insecticide soap to get the little suckers and yellow strips to kill and evaluate the effectiveness. Considering trying some mosquito dunks. One plant will have a lot of airy bottom buds due to shoots growing off some branches and I don't want to stress it out now, so they will remain. Overall everything is going according to plan in the bloom stage except for the gnats. Fed them week 9 of the FF feed schedule using Cha-Ching.
Saturday - June 6 - Day 40 - Fungus gnats are slowing down. One plant is showing some yellow leaves. Overall she's looks good. They're the larger ones so I'm going to blow it off as end of life cycle and keep an eye on it.
Sunday - June 7 - Day 41 of bloom - No big changes to report. The plant showing some yellowing leaves continues and will monitor.
Tuesday - June 9 - Day 43 - Still have yellow leaves but not increasing, non-issue in my opinion. Lets talk about my fungus gnats. Began with the organic Neem oil with some results. Got some Diatomaceous earth today and when they were out of the tent getting a bite to eat and drink I stirred up the top dirt, gave a spray of Neem and a sprinkle of DE. Before returning to the tent I sprayed Neem on the water overflow pan and the underneath of leaves. Put up new sticky ribbons and will evaluate the population tomorrow morning.
Wednesday - June 10 - Day 44 - What fungus gnats? One thing to mention is that I used the organic Neem spray the first time. When I got the DE I bought some Bon Neem spray and used that yesterday instead of the organic. Some leaf edges are showing their purple genetics, but on the tips they look a tad burnt.
Sunday - June 14 - Day 48 - Nothing much in way of updates. Trichomes are building nice and sparkly. Bud size is nice. I believe I missed the window a bit with the Beastie Bloomz, perhaps not early enough or long enough for bigger bud growth. First time using Beastie and the Cha-Ching so that's just fine tuning next time. Overall, they all look happy and healthy.
Friday - June 19 - Day 53 - Everything is copacetic.
Sat - June 20 - Day 54 - Flushed with ph water.
Sunday - June 21 - Day 55 - Flushed yesterday. Dropping nutes down to 1 tsp Big Bloom, Tiger Bloom and 1/4 tsp of Cha-Ching. Humidity remains high around the 60% mark. Put a twist tie above a bud 2 weeks ago to monitor bud swell. Haven't seen size increase this week so I guess growth is over and she's working on making those trichs juicy and ripe. Added 5 pics. Echo 7 Lima... Out.
Sunday - June 28 - Day 62 of bloom - Flowering Time is 70 - 75 days. One or two weeks will put it in the zone. I'll clip a sugar leaf this week and scope the trichomes for opaqueness and juice. Fed them this morning with nute mix recorded above. This will be the last time for nutes and will go to ph'd water the rest of the way. Echo Seven Lima.... out.
Sunday - July 5 - Day 69 of bloom - No big reports. Trichomes are coming along nicely and starting to see some cloudiness. One plant is getting more yellowing leaves than the others and I'll check it's trichomes again later today. Overall, looking good, nothing but water, patience and time. Echo Seven Lima... Out.
Monday - July 6 - Day 70 - Had a Royal Gorilla seeking a larger pot to call home so I cut down a Cafe Racer. Plant with the most opaque trichomes was also the one with the most yellow leaves so she got the ax. Trimming was easy by just pulling off the few fan leaves and trimming up the sugar leaves for later processing.
Thursday - July 9 - Day 73 - Cut 2 more down.
Saturday - July 11 - Day 75 - Cut down 1.
Sunday - July 26 - Day 90 - I see a cloud! Tomorrow she'll come down, dried and then I'll be back with the weigh-in, taste test and final wrap up. Echo Seven Lima... Out.
