These plants are growing wild !! They are so bushy :D Internodes are very short, and I don't really know if I should prune subbranches or let them grow this way. For now, I tied most of them on the side so they can reach canopee as well. So, what do you suggest ? I don't plan to top them more; one time seems to be enough. Also, they don't grow tall, maybe the lamp is too close (35cm) ? It seems ok to me but I'd like your opinion on that too. I know they'll stretch when I'll put them to flo, so I'm not too worried about that. I plan to switch next week, or the next one, considering how bushy they are. Do you think it is too soon ? And finally, I spotted some little stains on a few leaves; looks like mild calcium deficiency. I plan to add some calmag to the mix soon. Again, I'm all ears to any advice you could give ! Have all a nice week friends; See you next time ! :) Edit 27/04/2020 : Late update; thanks to everyone for answering my question (about stacked internodes). Special thanks to @Budget_Buds and @OGgrows ! It was so obvious, but I haven't think about it :D So, I rised the lamp 15cm further and added red lights. I bought this lamp last year, and only started using it mid veg stage, so I wasn't prepared for this :D I'll probably prune some subbranches in the next few days too. Thanks again ! :)

Grow Questions

I'll put my question here as well for better visibility; Plants are very bushy and I'm not sure if I should prune subbranches or let them grow that way. I'm a little worried they'll lack space when they'll start flowering. It might be suboptimal as well. Thanks for helping me !
Solved
Plant. Too short
Plant. Spaces between nodes

Hi @Cockpitloulou the spectrum of your light seems to me to be the cause of slow growth. I have seen several negative reviews about vipaspectra leds, good for flowering only. Rise the light more for the plants stretch more. you should prune subbranches that are not keeping up with others branches. good luck mate 👍

I would paint the boxes white or add some reflective sheeting to help light exposure. But I’m just a newbie at this.

Yo intento mantener entre 50cm al principio y voy bajando hasta 30cm. La verdad que tienes unas plantas muy hermosas y unos resultados increíbles. Espero obtener los mismos resultados que tu. Un saludo y buenos humos. Me quedo siguiendo tus diarios.

@Txumy2020 I try to keep ~50-60cm between lamp and top, at every stage. Right now, 55cm from highest point. Is that what you were looking for ?

Hi, I have a beginner question if you can help me please. How do you set your led regarding blue, red or full spectrum and % of brightness? I am growing on balcony that gets around direct sun light for 7h and solid 11 to 12h daylight during this time of the year... just bought a cheap grow led to complement and ad 4h-6h of lights during night.... I am growing 2 Nothern Lights (one with 3 weeks and other just started today by planting the seedling) and one CDB which has 2 weeks... Maybe the 2 oldest full spectrum and once seed germinates start with only blue for first 1 to 2 weeks? dont really know.... thinking on the full spectrum side (at 50 -60% brightness) because already be receiving sun light directly? By the way, the led is chinese and has only 27W, really just a small complement as I know plants will appreciate any extra light... I cant spend much money also... thanks a lot.

@FCFLOWER Hey ! I don't really do anything with my lamp; There are two switches, one for veg state (mostly blue light), and one for bloom (more red lights). I usually keep only blue lights for the first few weeks, then turn them both on til harvest. I see nothing wrong with mixing natural lights with a LED generated one, as long as your plants absorb enough radiation for the right amount of time. I can't say for sure about your installation, for it depends on a lot of factors, and I'm not an expert by any mean (also, I only did indoor yet), but 27W seems a bit low. Your plants might start flowering sooner than expected if they don't have enough light. Alas, I don't really know a thing about specifics. Maybe you'll find something useful here (https://www.royalqueenseeds.com/blog-cannabis-cultivation-tips-how-to-set-up-indoor-grow-lights-n670). Maybe you can also find someone who can get some reading with a sensor ? Hope you'll find what you're looking for !

@Aman89, I don't think they need it that much, considering how bushy they are, but it can't hurt ! Still planning to build a growbox with mylar coated panels tho. Maybe next time ;)
