These seeds were from some diary contest winnings from last year. She's spent the first week indoors under my LED lights but she'll be repotted and moved outdoors tomorrow because things are gonna warm up for a few days. I gave her about 90 minutes of acclimation to sunlight today while I was working in my yard - which I do a lot now in quasi-isolation. Repotted this girl into her final container (5 gallon fabric) and moved her outdoors on April 1. If it rains hard this weekend I might move back inside for a bit.

She seems to have adjusted to the repotting and moving outdoors well. We had 3 days in a row of nice sunshine in the low 60s and now we're gonna get a couple days of rain, which we always gladly accept in California. I've moved her back into the tent for the next couple days until the sun comes back out, which will probably be Monday.

This girl seems to have acclimated nice to the move outdoors. After a couple days of slow growth things are starting to pick up. Weather should be turning warm for the next few days. No sign of rain.

Autoflower isolation Spring bounds forward. This girl is vegging nicely outdoors and pretty wind resistant by now, whereas her little sister (Cosmic Queen) I monitor closely because that baby is still a baby. We've been having a few cloudy (it's called fog) days by California standards the last few days which is good for acclimating young plants - but I'm ready to turn up the heat any time you're ready mom. 😷 4/20 > Topped this girl this morning. Probably closer to a FIM.

This girl seems none the worse after a relatively late topping/fimming or whatever. Seems hard to get in at autoflowers but I wanted to test how it comes out with both of the Mephisto strains I have growing. I just fimmed my Cosmic Queen this morning so both of these girls are on the same track - just separated by one week.

This girl has stabilized nicely after her topping, growing about 4" vertically last week. It's amazing sometimes how much the outside girls turn and stretch toward the sunlight. I try not to move them except to catch early sunlight (which typically is not there due to fog) or late sunlight.... but while I move them on my patio, I try to keep their relationship to the sun the same.

This girl responded well to my topping and she's bushing out nicely. She gained about 5" of vertical last week. The last 3 days have been near 90 so she's been soaking up some serious rays. Cooling back down to near normal now (low 70's daytime).

This girl has slowed down vertically, growing only an inch last week, but she has bushed out quite nicely. Probably the densest of all the outdoor girls. May 17 > Did a bit of internal pruning of fan leaves to provide better ventilation to the interior of the plant. Will probably need to do more. She's a thick one.

This baby was growing so dense I did some serious internal pruning this morning just so the wind could get in there to the middle, maybe a little more light too. The stalk is VERY strong on this baby.

Almost got lost taking pictures today - actually rained this afternoon - very rare event for these parts after Memorial Day. Took my new e-Bike out for a spin this morning of three local farmers markets (Castro Valley, Hayward, and Bay Fair Mall). There was this huge line of cars at Bay Fair Mall that I thought was there for the Farmers Market, bud I was sadly mistaken to find they were all in line for a Starbucks drive-thru. Sad what has become of our society. 😳 Harvested my indoor CBD babies according to plan this evening - then realized I never took pics of this girl here called Nuggets. She is definitely the thirstiest girl on my patio, in spite of not actually being the largest - everybody in 5 gallon fabric pots - which I think are really important out here in California when we go thru these hot spells like we just had of like 4 days with numbers in the 90's. Spent a couple hours today watching a streamed benefit for the Colorado music industry, which like every other set of live audio and sports venues is on the ropes these days. As noted it's gonna be a long time before this aspect of our lives get back to any sense of normal... but there was some compelling performances in that benefit where performers played in front of basically EMPTY but famous venues... specifically Red Rocks Amphitheater and the stadium where the Bronco's play - so I threw in a pic for that. It was worth the donation.... but I have this odd feeling that this might be the ONLY way we rock and roll for longer than we'd like. June 2 >> Gave this baby a good flush. By the numbers she should be ready to harvest by Saturday. We'll keep an eye on the trichomes and see what's up. I flush my plants under my apple tree so as not to waste the water. Gonna be hot for another couple days.

Went thru a couple of 3-4 day hot spells in the two weeks before harvest so she had a chance to dry out well before harvest and I could stick her in my shed overnight for an extra long dark period before harvesting her (read as - sleeping in). Meant to spend more time updating diaries today but life intervened. I decided to protest instead. 👊 I'll have to await the next light cycle before continuing some other updates. I now have 5 plants hanging up at various stages of dry and this strawberry monster will take at least a week to dry. I'll be back. June 14 >> Kicked my last plants outa the tent today and shut off the lights and everything for the summer. Just one fan left running to help dry the 4 plants I have left hanging. Then I spent maybe 90 minutes trimming this baby. She was quite dense, and I ended up with more buds than trim, 73 grams of bud vs 50 grams of trim. Not a bad haul for an autoflower. A friend of mine grew one of these already from the same batch of seeds I won so I have some that's already cured - quite tasty. I actually couldn't break the stalks of this girl when I went to trim her - so it's possible I coulda let her dry a bit more before trimming, I'll know in a few hours when I'm done measuring how dry she is before adding in some Boveda packs to hydrate the buds. Looks good though. June 15 >> Initial "dry" comes in at about 54%. Not as dry as I thought. Curing will bring it up to the low 60's.
