No - pre-soak, no paper towels.
4/4/20 Planted directly into CoCo 75% double rinsed, double buffered with CaliMagic (7.5ml/gal) with Perlite 25%.
This grow (plus 7 bag seeds, Strawberry Glue, and Critical Jack), 12 of 21 seeds (57%) popped by the morning of the 3rd day.
Started indoors - under 2, T-5's just below a So. facing window.

Any ideas / input / solutions as to why the White Widow 3, Blue Cheese and a few others are exhibiting rounded leaves on the new growth?

You may have a bug or something attacking your leaves.
I suggest boiling a few unscented pure cigars and lightly spray the leaves for bugs, add chili powder if want.
If it is mold, it's not bad, (but carefully examine what it could be). For mold, it's best to use cloth pots for better drainage. And add a tablespoon of peroxide to a gallon of water for your soil. It slows/kill mold growth and adds oxygen to your roots. Do only once a month if needed
