No - pre-soak, no paper towels. 4/4/20 Planted directly into CoCo 75% double rinsed, double buffered with CaliMagic (7.5ml/gal) with Perlite 25%. This grow (plus 7 bag seeds, Strawberry Glue, and Critical Jack), 12 of 21 seeds (57%) popped by the morning of the 3rd day. Started indoors - under 2, T-5's just below a So. facing window.

Sadly Super SIlver Haze #3 has a severe case of dwarfism and not photo worthy - will give her 1 more week to take off, if not, culling will be necessary. So far so good. No nutes other than CaliMagic and Roots Excelurator Gold. Will begin feeding on the 16th day after popping. Water once a day.

*** 1/2 recommended ratio to gal / h2o, for early veg cycle of Nectar of the Gods (sample pack - see "simple" Feeding Schedule: https://www.oregonsonly.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/NTFG-feeding-schedule..pdf) x2 then *** 1/2 recommended ratio to gal / h2o VEG of Cultured Biologix - EZ bio microbial tea x1 Misted first time this week, will do twice daily for Super Silver Haze from here on out (hear they love humidity). Climate went from cool Spring Weather to very warm early Summer this past week. Growth seems to have slowed a bit as true leaves are developing & compounding. Preparing substrate - double burffered CaligMagic in CoCo 60%, Happy Frog 25%, Worm Castings 15%, 2 1/2 tblsp of Azomite, 1/4 tsp of Great White Mychorazie. - for 1/2 gallon pots

The girls liked the EZ Tea from Cultured Biologix, a few days later a regular seedling feeding from Nectar of the Gods (basic chart). After last feeding, noticed growth had slowed considerably, the babes started showing signs of being unhappy in their (1/2 full) solo cup homes. Made indentations into the new media (50% Coco, 35% Perlite, 10% Happy Frog, 5% Worm Castings, a dusting of Azomite and applied Great White Mycorrhizae liberally on the bottom and sides of the indents. Up-potted all to 1 gallon cloth pots, watered in 1/4 strength cal-mag, 2/3 strength CG Liquid Kelp, and a few mL of House and Garden Roots Excelurator Gold. NOTE *** - First couple of transplants went rough, meaning the media (Coco and Perlite) were dry, and fell apart in process - thought I'd lost 4 precious seeds. After watering the balance of seedlings, about 16 hours later, the little root happy gals, all came out in nice in pre-formed cubes :) Kept all transplants in reduced light (only outdoor ambient light through windows), for 12-16 hours. Bag seed 3 (one of the rough first batch of transplants), did exceptionally well with the watering in, so tested her outdoors all day today (live in the desert in So. CA = hot/dry climate) in my modified space (85% shade cloth walls, and 40% shade cloth over the top). She did great, and was sooo happy, leaves reaching for the sun. Brought her in to finish the hours of light as the sun set. Tomorrow, will begin the twice daily (take em' out in the morning, bring em' in as the sunsets) routine until June 21st - day after the solstice. When the girls get 12 - 16" will up pot again to final home depending on size by that time to 3, 7, or 10 gal. Good week.

Full time outdoors under shade structure (temps have been over 90F), evap. cooler used in addition to fan when temps reach 85F or higher. 4 CFL's light the tween hours between dusk and 16th hour, after June 22 = lights out. Feeding regimen adapted to: Feed, Feed, Tea, Feed, Feed, Cal/Mag + Liquid Kelp, Flush with foliar feeding before dusk every other day ( = brownish spots on leaves). Noticed my water bucket (under fan to aid in humidity) had little red spiders (clover mites) in, so to be safe employed food grade diatomaceous earth at the base of each plant (some white spots on leaves in pics) and around each platform on the ground. Lollipoped, topped and / or fim'd all this past week, slowing growth a bit. All-in-all, considering the heat and low humidity, doing well and they look happy. Using my media mix, watering daily outdoors in the morning.

PH 6.2, - 6.25 (feeding rotation) feed, water, feed, water, tea, water, calimagic+liquid kelp, water, roots excelurator gold, water Growth a bit slow after topping - shade cloth making them reach a bit but will beat the alternative of being under direct sun next week, as temps approaches 100F, here in the hi-dez (high desert for out-of-towners). ;( NO SEX YET, realized most of my freebies from Attitude Seed Bank are not feminized - time will tell. The only ones I paid for are the White Widows and Supler Silver Haze

Any ideas / input / solutions as to why the White Widow 3, Blue Cheese and a few others are exhibiting rounded leaves on the new growth?

You may have a bug or something attacking your leaves. I suggest boiling a few unscented pure cigars and lightly spray the leaves for bugs, add chili powder if want. If it is mold, it's not bad, (but carefully examine what it could be). For mold, it's best to use cloth pots for better drainage. And add a tablespoon of peroxide to a gallon of water for your soil. It slows/kill mold growth and adds oxygen to your roots. Do only once a month if needed

Seems the mutation of the rounded off leaves was an "adjustment" to full strength Nectar of the Gods nutes. New leaves look like cannabis again. :) Same regiment - growth spurt this last week of about 5" and the Indica dominant leaves are the widest I've seen in my few years of growing. Have had to run a portable evaporative cooler, with the heat being so high and humidity being so low, this week. Probably for the remainder of the Summer. Plan is to cut the supplemental lighting (to get to 16 hours, on, outdoors, on June 4th. Pleased with grow so far. Up-potting this next week if things go according to plan.

HOT - dang hot, outside temps reached 100 for 3 days - the evaporative cooler got a work out keeping the humidity up a tiny bit. Getting ready for a 10 day trip, up-potted to 5 and 7 gal. cloth bags. Everyone seemed happy in their new home. In anticipation of leaving the ladies at home, have been reducing the light by 15 minutes each day. Set up auto-drip system to keep em' hydrated in the warm climate of the hi-desert. Feeding will be at half - strength prior to my time away, and then straight tap water for 10 days. Before getting back on schedule. Average height is around 18", some to 25" or more, a couple runts barely 13". Everyone looks happy and healthy (a little leggy but they are under a 40% shade cloth). Will commence training in a big way upon my return.

Just back from an extended out of state trip - they didn't miss me too much (with the drip system and evap cooler), since up-potting 1st 1/2 dose feeding of Nectar of the Gods yesterday. Individual pics, this next week.

Coming along nicely, thinned things out a bit, and did some LST (unfortunately the White Widow 2 experienced some HST and lost a main :( - since returning from my trip did 1 feeding at 1/2 strength Nectar of the Gods, next day - Roots Exceluarator, next day - Compost Tea, then Foliar Liquid Kelp x3 days, full feeding of Nectar of the Gods (experienced slight nut burn on 2 strains), Bloom Khaos x1 yesterday. Today & tomorrow H20 only. Sativas are now 4'+ tall and started wrapping them around bamboo stakes to slow vertical grow, as ceiling is 6'.

Build up of essentials this past week (Great White Mycorrhizae, Azomite & CaliMagic solution) - running out of space with 6 weeks of veg left to go. Had to space containers out even more. So far so good. Will post update mid-August. Until then, working on beating the heat with ice infused evaporative cooler as temps are hovering around 100F.

Did a little more prunning (in the middle to increase air flow) as temps have gone full tilt mid-90's to 105 for the next 10 days or so. Noticed a couple desiccated egg sacks on the undersides of a couple leaves so applied DE to top dress and foilar fed CG Liquid Kelp (natural insect repelent) yesterday until my bio-predators arrive in the next week or two. Most of the sativa strains have started flowering, the White Widow and other indica dominant strains are dragging their feet. Hoping the sativas finish by early Oct.

Easing into Photoperiod - half flowering half wanting to start - temps have been brutal hovering between 95 and 100F. Doing okay, lots of air-flow and added humidity seem to be maintaining reasonable progress.
