White Widow autos germinated 6 seeds. 2 started taproots but after planting in soil they did not pop up yet. 3 of the 4 that did pop up only took about a day to break through
soil. the itty bitty one took a couple extra days but im sure now will catch up to the others. Giving the other 2 a few more days to sprout but not looking good for the home team on them.
A mixup from amazon. Sent me another Parfactworks RA1000. Understand its a cheap low power light but with 2 in a 2x4 grow tent im getting about 220 watts actual out of both lights together. Have them about 20 inchs from plants right now and will adjust as needed. They
Seem to like where the lights are set to right now.
I have set up a WYSE camera in the tent so i can monitor plants from anywhere. cheap little camera but well worth it.
Everything for lights, fans are automated. Work Smarter not Harder!
I am finishing up a 5x6 grow closet that all these will be going into.
The door is being swapped to open to the outside to give more space.
Still Deciding on the light for the closet. Narrowed it down to the Spider Farmer 4000 or the Mars Hydro 3000. or 2 Mars tsl 2000 lights. Just need to make up my mind.
When all is said and done everything except watering will be automated. The exhaust fans, lights, temp, and humidity. it will be controlled by a Meross temp and humidity sensor. I will have to write an ifttt script but thats not an issue.
As I explained in my other journal i moved from a 2x4 tent to a 5x6 closet and now to a 5x10 purpose built room. If You cannot see I have a tendency to over do things sometimes.😎 I have six Autos growing all just a few days to a week apart. My first lady is growing so fast you can almost see it. the rest are not far behind. They love the Mars 3000 light. My only concern is my big plant has some yellow spots on some of the leaves. I have checked for bugs and cannot find any. Its not on any of the other plants either. Im thinking its just burns from water spots. It does not seem to affect her growing though. Any comments on what it might be is appreciated.
4th week and 3 of four plants showing pistils. All are in LST. Adding big bloom into the nutes.
On the side note I have almost finished the grow room. Added the portable ac and have it so it vents outside now. The portable ac actually serves a few functions. It creates negative pressure as it takes air from room and exhausts it out a 4 inch hose (how convenient). So i added a 12x12 intake vent that holds an air filter. Using one that traps pollen, dander, ect. should give good clean air to the girls.
What A Great day it is here. 75 and not a cloud in the sky. Took the ladies outside to get some free light.😎 My biggest lady(was over 21" before i bent her over again, haha) is only 35 days old since she was planted. Still around 4 weeks to go. The others are about a week or so behind but are starting to stretch their legs and putting out good bud sites. I have been on youtube (try bill ward) and a ton of sites just learning. I think im doing the LST right or at least passable. First time doing this. My grow room is coming along nicely. I found a new aqua active system that was sold to me for 150. since i was going to build my own it was a no brainer to buy. It didnt come with a barrel( 20 buck local)and its a the 5 gallon six pots setup. Perfect for the left side of the room. As you can see in the pic i made some mylar curtains. They are movable to make space bigger or smaller as needed. I wanted a Spider Farmer sf-4000 for the other side of grow room but at 600 bucks i just was having a hard time dropping the chunk of change. So after some research i bought the light pictured. Looks just like a sf-4000 doesn't it. it has same samsung leds and drivers. but at 225 dollars and 40 shipping i could buy almost 3 of these for the price of 1 sf-4000. I when it comes in i will post a review.
Starting the 5th week really. All the ladies are doing well except for the poor girl that when i was training her the whole top snapped. 😒. Used a duct tape band aid she is sill growing but when i removed the tape this today to check here i noticed that the break did not fuse back together. The one little side that did not break clean now is her main stem. Still flimsy so tape back on and no more training for her. Really all of them have have really wooded up so i doubt i will try to train the branches anymore. As you can see in the pics all of them are budding up pretty nice. I defoliated some of the leaves and bud sites on the lower stalks of the plants.
The grow room is complete with exception of the light. It should be here this week. I have 6 more autos in rapid rooter so when light comes in they will go in the pots. Im excited to see how much faster and larger they will grow. I will be using the advanced nutrients perfect ph for first grow, Even though i will be checking and adjusting the ph i want to make this first one as easy as possible.
I have white spots/lines on some leaves. it will not wipe off. It only looks like it mostly on the edges. Is the mold? Temp 77 day/68 night. humidty 45-55%. fans both over canapy and under. Mars 3500 at 16 inchs. Im kinda stumped. Thanks, in advance.
So this week was not the best. I had to go out of town for 4 days and when i came back the girl that the top broke had about 1/4 of her fan leaves yellow and die. She was bone dry also. 😭 looks like a combo of potassium and calcium deficient. After removing leaves and giving here a good watering she looks to have bounced back but I'm sure her yield will be will suffer. Live and learn right? The largest her bottom leaves have started to yellow as she is probably a week or 10 days till she is ready to harvest. The rest are just fat, dumb and Happy.
Peace out.
